This was a great kit as it linked into our topic of paralympics really well and integrating mathematics throughout. It was a great way to explore all the vocabulary connected to sport. It was also great to have extension through the tamariki coming up with their own mini games.

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? Measuring and recording was a bit hit and miss but when we turned it into a competition the effort and accuracy improved. Measuring and timing were great skills to develop. We also calculated things like m/s and how much faster they needed to be to equal records.
