What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Inquiry interest, writing topic ideas and reading articles and stories related to world records.
This was a very engaging and entertaining kit. They students struggled in the beginning with the idea of superlatives and how to write each part then add in the superlative in. The students really enjoyed mixing all the different parts of the world record to make new ones up. Once we had done all the teaching around this, they very much enjoyed trying and completing the records.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? This linked to our inquiry about the Olympics, as well as English and Statistics.
Thinking about how to define the details of the world records was a real challenge for some members of the class before the actual events. However, there was great learning about the need for precise definitions once we actually staged the events.

My class really enjoyed this kit. We all loved the sectre formula to help us create some (very) wacky record challenges! The resources made the kit really engaging and my students could't wait to try and set, and then break each others records. There was something in this kit for every learning level.
