What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Reading - finding out about the records and the criteria that needs to be followed, collaboration - groups needed to work together to design, manage and collect the data.
The students in the class loved this kit. It was extremely well resourced, with great teacher support and hands on resources. We adapted it to fit also in with some statistics we were doing, which suited the fact they had measurements they could graph. There was high interest in the content linked to how the real Guiness Book Of Records design, measure and verify attempts.

The DYI World Records 24 was a great unit for those students who usually struggle with formal learning. We all have different strengths and this unit allowed all students to shine in a 'different' way.
