How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? Many of the students had never used a ruler/tape measure yo measure out distance.

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? The counting and recording was great way to support and encourage mathematical thinking.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? The children have realised they have power to create their path. As it aligned with the Olympics and Paralympics there was lots of learning around information reports on athletes and world studies.

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? They didnt even realise they were doing maths to begin with! It gave them real life applications to use. They got curious about answers and persevered to find answers.

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? It was really interesting to see students understanding of estimating and visualising length, height and time, as well as connecting units to types of measurement to specific activities

What was the most unique record achieved and why? The most french words spoken in a minute. This was designed by a child who is taking french lessons outside of school, but she didn't realise that she wouldn't be able to participate in her own record so she spent her lunchtimes teaching as many words as she could to others
