What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? My students are able to teach the rest of the kura what they have learnt.
How did this kit help your students understanding of art with a purpose? It helped them not only to understand art but how to incorporate it into the classroom.

“This school kit, helped bring balance back to my classroom.. My students had been going through a hard time and term and being able to deliver this kit to them as a class was very rewarding.. We learnt many things but our main was being connected through things we do within the classroom and ensure they are all heard equally. Thank you for this kit it has been very beneficial and the resources are now used kura wide..”

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? This kit has led us to look at a wider variety of artists from around the world.
How did this kit help your students understanding of art with a purpose? It enabled them to see that art doesn't have to be pictorial/true-to-life - abstract artworks have meaning if you understand the artist's intent.
How did using art as the context allow your learners to explore the themes of racism and inclusivity? We didn't really get into this part of the topic.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? See notes above. It also allows us to further our discussion by looking at bullying, tying it in with the annual 'antibullying campaign'/ pink shirt day.
How did using art as the context allow your learners to explore the themes of racism and inclusivity? The students hadn't before considered that you could express a perspective through art. Prior to performing the art pieces we had explored different examples from around the world where art was used to communicate a certain perspective eg. Floyd Mayweathe
