Student's made cupcakes for their mums for Mothers day. "You don't just have to cook with unhealthy stuff, you can add anything you want". "The banana and honey ones were delicious".
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The recipe card template was really helpful.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
That we can adapt recpies - ingredients and quantities, and don't have to stick to what is written. We can experiment and make more changes. Somethings don't taste you think they will once they are cooked.
How effective was this kit in promoting healthy food in your classroom?
Was good to promote use of different ingredients. Student's still like the sweet, but can see benefits of using other ingredients. We also used the concept of adding different ingredients to our food and made bread for Matariki and added Kawakawa to it.
What learning from this kit can students take home to impact their family's wellness and health?
Creativity and adaptation of recipe's. Having ago, and failing sometimes, but making changes to address what they didn't like.

Money, junk food is cheaper. Some people think they are 'loving' their kids by buying them junk - keeping them happy. .
