That there are many different ways that things can be done, even when cooking. Just because a recipe says something has to be done one way, doesn't mean you can't be creative and trial and error other things
How effective was this kit in promoting healthy food in your classroom?
My students did this kit with the release teacher on my team leader release days. They were always buzzing when I can back to class to tell me what new recipes they had tried and how they would have never thought to try ..... at home. Their statements always ended with, that's actually healthy right Miss Seba?
What learning from this kit can students take home to impact their family's wellness and health?
Students will have chatted to their whānau about what they made in class and hopefully taken that info and made the same at home, especially with the items that are regularly found in any pantry at home.
