“I preordered this backpack when it was first launched and wanted to use it a few times before leaving a review. Now in its fourth year of hauling my stuff around the globe, I’m pleased to report this is still the best backpack I’ve ever invested in. It is so well-made and so versatile. I love using the organizer while camping or on roadtrips, and then remove it for international flights to maximize space & weight. The bottom compartment that can fold out from its zipper enclosure comes in clutch when I need to bring an extra pair of shoes, and I can expand the adjustable straps to hold a bulkier item like folded up outerwear or a towel. I’ve used this backpack on countless trips ranging from little weekend getaways to packed two-week itineraries, and it’s somehow always the perfect size, and still hasn’t shown a single sign of wear. I truly recommend the Shell to any fellow traveler.”

“Generally I'm very happy with this backpack. In using it mainly to commute by bicycle or motorbike and I can easily fit my laptop with mouse, my gym clothes and some groceries. Even when packed heavily it's comfortable and the materials seem high-quality. The only gripe I have with this product are the external bottle pockets on the sides. They are pretty big and not adjustable. I'm afraid I'd lose the bottles when going over a bump on my bike. And since there are no bottle pockets inside the backpack they keep bumping into each other when I've got nothing else in the bag. I've ordered the bag without accessories and wanted to add them over time, but didn't realise how expensive they are when ordered separately. €100 for the insert is quite steep imo, so I don't know if I ever upgrade. Other than that it's a solid backpack, I'd recommend, just be aware of how you configure it.”
