Car insured for less than 24 hours cost £50.87 due to the "arrangement fee" which you aren't told about until of course you need to cancel. Rip off company do not insure with them!!

Tried to cancel car insurance, not £50 as quoted in policy but £117. Asked for an email breaking down the charges and was told they were unfortunately unable to send that. I asked if there was anywhere online to see the fees, was put on hold then told no, there isn't anywhere online to see the charges... Locked my keys in car a few months ago, they were unable to help and told me I wouldn't be covered if car was stolen because my keys were in the car. Go anywhere else for car insurance!!!

Do not use this company, they charge a fee for any changes and loads of hidden costs. Their customer services skills are poor, 1 person put the phone down on me and another never got back to me with a query. DO NOT USE THEM.

Sold car and cancelled OK so £50 cancellation fee, cant see hoe that's justified but it's there and then another £50 arrangement fee, bunch of crooks avoid them at all costs.

Terrible customer service, the worse thing to do is sigh to a customer asking for help. That's your job to help if its needed. The fees they charge is extortionate its certainly not just £50 cancellation mine was £250 for a policy that went 17 days which i never even agreed to renew! i only wanted them to honor a new quote by them the same company for half my current premium. Cant wait for this policy to finish!

This Company should be avoided at ALL COSTS. I changed my car insurance to them on 1st November 2016. I have many years no claims and have never had an accident,only a couple if idiots driving into me whilst stationary. On 4th November 2016 the weather was dreadful, I was driving carefully but hit a pool of water and spun across three lanes and ended up in a ditch. No one else was involved and I was told that I was lucky to be able to walk away with a few injuries. The car, my pride and joy an SLK 350 was written off. The people who helped me escape from my car and the Police said that I was unfortunate and that it could have happened to anyone. Indeed it seemed to happen to everyone that day. The Police took me home and every minute a report was coming in about cars coming off the road, overturning etc. etc. down to the weather. Although I only had been insured with this Company for a few days, I did not see any issues. Well how wrong I was; It takes forever to get through to them (circa) 40 minutes, they never come back to you, they never give you an update, they tell you your car is one place, then another when in fact it did not go anywhere. They claim they give you a hire car but this is only if your car can be repaired and only if the garage has one. Therefore, I have had to pay out myself for a hire car. After chasing for three weeks I finally find out that they are NOT going to settle as my rear tyres were defective. This is not true and the car had a valid MOT, was well maintained etc. etc. They have refused point blank to take into account any of the above. As a result I have lost the cost of my car insurance, £1,000 for a hire car and the value of my car - £12,000. In addition they have not returned some valuable items in the car or reassigned my private plate worth £600.00. No doubt they have already sold these on as well as scavenging, alloy wheels, leather seats, sat nav... etc. I am just about to lose my job and as my employer is going into liquidation I will receive no notice pay, no holiday pay and no redundancy pay. Without a car I cannot find another job. Therefore, thanks to 1st Central I have nothing left, i WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET INSURANCE and its not worth living - BEWARE, 1ST CENTRAL WILL MURDER YOU!

should the unfortunate happen like with us burglary, steal the key and car theft if not bad enough having to deal with 1st central, hidden policy excesses totaling £700.00 30 minutes each time you call to then be told theft team not available, inability to the point where to save compound fees once my car was discovered after two weeks to return it by tow truck to my drive until i pointed out the fact that someone still has a key & my concern that it could be stolen again really i have to point this out, Just diabolically shocking outfit DO NOT DO IT. Try & find a proper firm

CANCELLATION FEE £100. Don't be deceived by the small print, it doesn't cost £50 to cancel. They also add on £50 arrangement admin fee. Never again will I go to this company for insurance or recommend.

Had an email sent saying my policy would auto renew so though great has went through all the other times haven't check my emails since now been pulled and done with no insurance 6 pints and a fine cause I have not been insured due to there technical issue NOTEVERYONE checks there emails all the time now won't give me a letter of indemnity

I so disappointed of this insurance company.Because of 1ST CENTRAL I have to pay more money on my insurance now.Customer service is so bad.It takes you 25 minutes to get in touch with them and they were so rude.They are not accepting any excuse and they don't give to much information.This is my worst experience of my life.Be aware of this company.Don't buy cheap.They don't call you back and they don't provide to much information about the policy.BE AWARE!!!!

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE! This guy called JAVONNE was SO RUDE on the phone, did NOT sort out my problem. Asked for his supervisors name and he just CUT ME OFF!!!! This guy crashed my car and it took so long to get the excess claim money back which I HAD TO PAY for my car damage because this 1st central company had not gotten back to MY insurance company. I'm still waiting for this money to be reimbursed back to me!!! NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! Sickening.

If you blink they charge you £50! Admin fees are a total rip-off. Customer service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. AVOID

I am after my no claim certificate since last 10 days. Called them 4 times and everytime i get a different response. Finally they told me to get it from customer portal but I am unable to access it. Clicked the option to reset my login but they say email has been sent for login but no email in inbox. I did confirm that I am no more your customer will i still be able to get my customer portal access and the answer was YES. I don't know what to do. My next provider will cancel my policy if i don't gv the NC cert. I am glad i left this company... I don't recommend this company as they are very irresponsible.

If you want an easy life then I would suggest avoiding this company. They tend to come up in the cheaper insurance sections on comparisons websites but don't be fooled! they then come up with lots of issues and end up doubling your premium. In this case cheap and unknown is not the best choice avoid avoid avoid

We were involved in a "not at fault" car accident earlier this year. My insurance company handled the claim and after months absolute incompetence by 1st Central we were finally paid out. Six months after the incident 1st central has noted on a data base which shared by insurers that we were now at fault and my insurance premiums have been increased. The policemen who attended the scene of the accident clearly stated that the other driver was at fault. 1st Central continue to demonstrate their incompetence.

One of the best NOT Had someone run into the back of me in july 2016 the third party eventually omitted liability but took along time so I had to claim of my insurance which they did pay out for the car but has they did not pursued the cost back off his insurance it as now got to go to court through there solicitors for there loss but they are withholding my £250 and on my renew policy statement I have a at fault accident (THE MAN AS OMITTED LIABILITY) my insurance as gone through the roof cart even go some where else as its a on going claim been on the phone they say we will look in to it call you back never do had to call them back to get sorted 45 minutes later but with no confidence with 1 central I think I will be calling them back will I ever get my £250 who nows

Bought a policy in July deposit paid, no payment in August but 2 taken in 2 days in September then another taken in October, receive a default notice 2 days after the payment in October so called them to be told systems are down can't access customer details ?? Called back later same day still the same no access to customer details, so called them back the next day to be told : " forward us bank statements as we haven't received the payments " yet my bank clearly states 1st central as payee on direct debit I'm not happy to have to send my personal bank statements and as such will receive a cancellation from them as they can't find my payments ??. God know what the process would be like if I actually needed help in the event of an accident ? In my 20+ years as a driver I have never experienced such poor and unprofessional service, never again will I use this company.
