I had to cancel policy because you don’t send out costumers documents as I was told you only do email documents and I was told to print them out myself I don’t have a printer so that’s not very helpful is it

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - 4 weeks since accident & still no repairs or courtesy car! 4 weeks since my car has been off the road undriveable after a car accident on M25 and I’ve had no vehicle, no hire car, no repairs to my car as no garage allocated agreed to repair my car in 4 WEEKS! I have resolver complaints involved, financial ombudsman & still no further forward….I call everyday day and get put through at repairers WNS who are a third party company and useless, 1st central complaints team cannot even get them to do anything and I have called daily, this is appalling service….PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! No one deserves this treatment I have 15 years no claims discount & fully comp ins yet this is how I am treated. You realise when you have an accident how poor this company are, please do not be left in the same place at me

We had insurance with 1st Central and sold the vehicle and cancelled the insurance. 1st Central did not cancel the policy when we called to cancel and kept collecting premiums for 3 months after the vehicle was sold. Phoned them up and they agreed to cancel and agreed to give us a refund with a breakdown of the refund. We were charged for 270 days of insurance (which is correct) but they charged us the full year's worth of interest!! Explanation was that the system calculated it and nothing they can do. Sure we should only be charged interest for the duration of the contract and not for a full year! Very bad customer service as well because the operator did not want to listen to any reasoning.

Purchased policy with reffer friend link. Me and the the friend who referred suppose to get some vouchers. After 9 months calls and email conversation with get departments ( as no one wanted to take responsibility for the case and I was transferred from one department to other) I decided not to contact them anymore and just move my cover elsewhere. It is not about the money, it was a few pounds only, it.is about the principal. They made a promise and they broke it for few pounds only, so it made me think, would they keep the promise whey they will have to pay bigger money in case of potential claim. I need insurance to feel safe on the road, not just to be legal on the road, so 1st Central will not.be taken into consideration anymore regardless of their prices and offers.

me to put money in my account. Company and their customer service has absolutely no understanding of these circumstances and punishes me with ÂŁ15 default fee. When I called them they tell me to send an email. Answer me to the email to call. Wasting my time with the same words I heard already. On the other side they would cause issues if I ask for a fee for taking money too late. lol. Anyway learned a new way to make money. Think twice before signing up.

First time in my 13 years 'car insurance experience' I've seen something like this... They charge for policy cancellation even if it haven't started yet I still had my cooling-off period.. they sent me terms and conditions and even there it's stayted if your policy started but it did not. Also be aware that your down payment (deposit) doesn't come off from your monthly payments they explained to me that it's simply fees. Meanwhile other companies take your down payment off from your annual payment.

If I could give no stars then I would. Accepted a policy and upon receipt of documents, the dates were wrong. Contacted Customer Service as soon as they opened (less than 12 hours later) to explain and told would need to cancel policy and get a new quote - Fair enough. However, was then advised that there was a ÂŁ50 cancellation fee, for a policy that they got wrong, that had not even started. Awaiting outcome of complaint before going to Financial Ombudsman.

I am honestly so disappointed with the service provided by First Central, when the communication from there customer service is awful, during making a claim was passed around departments all not able to give any information. When taking out the policy was advised that paying for the extra covers we would be covered for all aspects, this was not the case Years no claims wasn’t covered and no courtesy was offered. Our car was stolen over 8 weeks ago and no update has been offered from the insurance after being on hold for hours on end we are passed through between brownsword and first central both companies saying it was waiting for information from the other. If this matter is not resolved we will be contacting the financial ombudsman. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

Be carefull. Offer a good price then try and alter stuff. I am 42 years old been driving since I was 17. I said I had 20 years no claims. I have never made a claim. My previous insurer only sent out 10 years no claims. So 1st wanted an extra ÂŁ78 plus ÂŁ50 admin fee. Ridiculous. So I said I wanted to cancel the policy. For the 3 weeks I had been with them they wanted ÂŁ14 plus ÂŁ50 setup and ÂŁ50 cancellation disgusting. They offer a cheap price then change you to the hills

Not a great experience! Unable to access account due to having a former policy. 1 month into it (after 14 day cooling off period) I am asked to upload proof of no claims (not a problem), to which I emailed due to account access problems. Then I get a phone call asking me my occupation to which I'm told it's now been updated and they require an ÂŁ82 payment :-0 even though technically I'm doing a similar role. In theory you shouldn't have insured me before if my job role does not come under what you deem my "occupation". Phone lines disconnect for complaints, no response option via email, your agent had to file a complaint for me and I was told 3 days resolution.. I then received email saying up to 6-8 weeks.. still getting reminders of the payment you will take out of my account even though I said I wasn't paying it. I provide a headed letter from employer explaining job details after another agent of yours did not want me to leave and himself requested this - provided following day - no response! I chase you up a week later to be told "we can't open word documents, can you change it to pdf"? No, sorry I can't, what absolute nonsense! Such an awful experience. Unfortunately I would rather pay the ÂŁ50 to leave than ÂŁ82 to stay.. and I should have fought that really! A lot of your reviews mentioned these random charges before I took out the policy and I ignored them due to my first experience being good... now I struggle to see these reviews here today and instead they are good after putting in claims! Utter utter shame as even your staff seamed to completely understand my situation and were lovely on the phone yet nothing resolved and customers patience was eventually lost.. !

Stay away from these scammers. They give a great price, but after 14 days (the period when I could cancel the insurance for free) they sent me an email saying I had provided incorrect information which is certainly not true. They tried to charge me ÂŁ250 for the changes. Very cheeky people who earn money for changes and cancellations. Cancelation + 1-month insurance cost me ÂŁ126. I have never had such a bad experience with any insurance company before. I DO NOT RECOMMEND insurance with them.

Got home with new car, tried to update policy, wouldn't let me, not allowed on my policy? Tried to phone, office shut! Up till early hrs of morning trying to sort it out, ended up having to cancel account go through compare the market to open a new account! Thank god the car didn't get clapped as I would have sent you the bill! It is not easy to update a policy even though your site claims it is! Actual it seems impossible! I only came back to you as it was the cheapest, I wonder why?

Extremely poor communication from both customer services and policy analysis. Every single time I contact Inger different answers, different reasons why they have upper my quite 1 month after I've paid it. They say I owe an extra ÂŁ258 (well now ÂŁ208 for taking away the admin fee), still a huge amount of money which some don't even know why this much from policy analysis. I have had to contact a financial ombudsman as they keep saying if I don't pay either they'll take money from my recorded card (which shouldn't even be saved) or they'll cancel my insurance.

Awful experience Cancelled my insurance as I didn’t upload my no claims bonus certificate I’m not even sure this is a legitimate company Avoid at all costs Pathetic phone line that no one answers for about 30 mins .
