1 star is way too generous for this awful company.All perfect until you actually need them to help you. Absoluelty made my life hell after I had an accident that was not my fault. Other party has pulled a fake witness and they don't even wish to fight it unless I take it to court out of my own pocket unless I take out a loan which for 21 is completely unreasonable. Couldn't even get in contact with my own witnesses so I had to do that myself and then because they didn't do it it wasn't 'legitimate', didn't organise my courtesy car and then sent bailiffs to my door when I didn't pay my excess when I was told I didn't need to whilst the dispute what ongoing. Please avoid these people as they will harass you when you don't reply which then induced mass anxiety for me and then won't reply for 6 months and then won't even give a clear answer when it comes to the outcome of the accident. If I could go back and save myself from this whole situation I really would.

Absolutely SHOCKING! taking money twice in the month and then putting my monthly payments up, would rather not have insurance than be with them

Paid my deposit for a policy I setup online but there was something wrong with there system so I was not insured but they had taken the money and now trying to get my deposit back seems impossible it’s been a month now of trying iv been calling them loads they eather say there system is not working properly so they can’t find the payment or you need to call back when there manager is there, so Iv had to fork out more money to start another policy. I wouldn’t use them again not worth the hassle.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPNY I had to cancel my insurance policy because 1st central could not provide insurance for my imported car. There was cancellation fee which the operator tried to take on the day of cancellation with the credit card details on file (under the new laws they shouldn't have been able to do this). He couldn't manage to take my payment and said finance would contact me to take payment, I was then away on holiday, they had tried to call me three times when I was away so put a late payment on my credit history even though this was their fault DO NOT USE THIS COMPNY

I have an ongoing claim with my previous insurer. There was no option in go compare to select that the claim is ongoing, only that the claim has taken place and you now want to charge me £125.

Been a customer for a year now. The company sent me a renewal price which was very high. I called up to cancel the policy when I received the new renewal price and the company charged me a £50.00 processing fee to cancel. By law you should have a 14 days cooling off period but the company said they were not charging me this but instead a £50.00 processing fee which in my eyes is the same thing but worded differently. I feel I should not be charged anything to not renew with the company. They are always trying to get extra money out of me at every opportunity so be warned the initial price they offer is good but they add on lots of hidden extras at every opportunity. Very very dissapointed!

Terrible customer service staff are very rude and no help or understanding at all. This company was recommended by a friend and I have nothing but problems. I also could not change my vehicle on my customer portal I had to ring them up which took near a hour to get through and then be told they were closing and would speak tomorrow knowing that I needed to change my vehicle on policy so I could be insured to drive it and then be charged full fee even though it was not my fault it wouldn’t allow me to change it online. They don’t abide by the quotes they give on comparison sites for me. which is the first car insurance company that do this. I can’t wait to leave first central and for me I would not recommend them.

Absolutely worst. They are cheap to start - that's true. But if you start making changes like address, adding drivers etc. They will charge you absurd fees. Sold your car and want to cancel? Another £100. No other company (RAC, TESCO, AVIVA and others) ever charged me for cancelling due to an sold car. I don't even want to think how hard would a claim process be with them. Also - Don't trust their reviews with Feefo. Those are all filtered to show 3 and more stars. TOTAL RIP OFF

Complete rip off that I have purchased insurance with you and then you charge me £30 to update the policy with my personalised registration plate. Won’t be using you again. Tesco did not charge me to do this previously

Worst company ever do not go with these people they just over charge you and cause you alot of stress and dont even deal with complaints properly i wish i had went with a different company and paid more as it would of caused me alot less trouble NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!

They took money out my account after i called them to cancel my policy and they assured me no money would be taken out. They have also took a further £10 out and have no idea why, very poor customer service. Just called them after waiting 12 minutes they said there is nobody in to check the inbox today. Don't get tempted by the cheap price. Not worth the problems you will have with this company. Still waiting for an email after nearly 3 days of sending

Fine to use if you don’t ever need to call them or use any of there services. Absolutely shocking, takes days to get in contact, endless hours wasted on the phone only to be told that the person is not available or ‘off sick’ very unprofessional. Opening hours useless to anybody who works mon-fri 9-6 only. Even the contact numbers are incorrect on the documents & emails. Stay away!!!!

I've received an email from you stating I need to pay almost £200 in addition to what I've paid already as I 'didn't a claim I made - I did on the online form. Not impressed at all.
