People, please be very careful. After 2 months my policy went up from £36 to £61 cancellation fee is £150. 1st Central Analysis team working very hard to find anything to increase policy. if they can't find anything they ll make something up. Paid this ridiculous cancellation fee and don t want to know anything about this company. Gangsters. I m hoping somebody someday ll take this company to court. I wish i could give 0 stars.

i am an ex-customer for obvious reasons (reviews). Once you have started a policy with this awful company there is only a 14 day period starting 28 days before policy end when you can leave for free. If you do not call them, wait 20 minutes on the phone, and then tell them you are leaving at the end of the month you have to pay. After that £50 because they automatically start a new policy. Eight days after that there is £50 on top! How can anyone who knows that recommend this company. Pay Attention To The Small Print. Devious or what?

Insisting I pay £50 to leave even though they were informed by my new insurance company 22 days before policy end. These people expect money to leave them. As said before, do not go near 1stCentral insurance. Awful. Try ringing them.

Useless. Don't touch them with a barge pole. They had me paying for 2 policies on one car. Endless phone calls to them. Don't wast your time.

You can’t keep charging £50 admin fee for changin address or details. Complete joke... very very disagisfactory.. All of this should be covered by my monthly payments. Outrageous.

Terrible company, make sure your answers on the comparison site are 100% correct. Answered a couple wrong got charged an extra £400. Canceled policy after 4 months , charged me £275 even though was quoted £75 a month earlier. Rip Off

Absolute shambles, cancelled my policy and was told I have £172, they could explain to how this is occurred and kept things up. After talking to 4 different agents and wasting my time talking to incompetent people I gave up and paid. Probably will go anywhere near them again and would advise anyone else to consider very carefully... very sneaky.

Worst car insurance company i have been with. There fees are absolutely ridiculous, they charge an extra £30 on top of the cost of your insurance if the payment misses to go out the first time. I'd cancel the policy but they would charge another 100 to do so. When my insurance is due for renewal i certainly wont be stopping with them and in future will be reading all the terms and conditions thoroughly.

Terrible customer service and grossly unfair prices including fees in the small print which can't be justified. They will charge you hundreds upfront and then more monthly for just moving house and trap you with a huge cancellation fee which is alot more than the fifty pounds which they state in the website. For me it was 200 percent more than stated despite it being close to the end date! Plus each time you speak to someone for a quote another fee comes up! I would not recommend for anyone moving house!!

You failed to send a renwal reminder and made me apply all over again. I was foolish to rely on you, so if I wouldn’t have been in distress to get a hurried insurance, I would have dumped your company with glee...

I wasn t happy with the customer service.they tried to renew my policy without asking me.even if i ve been with them for one year with no claim paid everything in time,the renewal pilicy was very expensive!

Their party drove into our brand new motorhome putting an early end to our European tour (only 650 miles on the clock!) No problems on liability, probably down to my dashcam, their party admitted it fully. Within days I got a letter from 1st Central offering to deal with my repairs plus the offer of a like-for-like vehicle, which I duly accepted and was offered for the following day. It was comparable to my own vehicle. Great I thought, tour back on! Mine requires repairs to both the cab and habitation area, so two different repairers, had to be approved to maintain my warranty. Cab repair easy, habitation repair would take 5 months as motorhome builder so busy. I informed 1st Central because of potential hire costs (would be £31,000 in hire alone) whereupon they said my vehicle would be written off as an uneconomical repair. I said fine and they said they wanted to inspect it to ensure no other damage beyond that caused by their party. The inspection was completed 2 days later. 3 days after that I got a call saying the repair to my vehicle was only £8k (wrong as the habitation repair alone is £8,500 and they have evidence of that) and they wouldnt now arrange repairs or hire me a vehicle. They said I had to go back to my own insurer to get everything resolved. Effectively they washed their hands of any of their promises or accepted responsibilities. Up to today's call I was thinking about using them for my own insurance in future. I wont be now, no integrity, cant be relied upon and actively seek to swerve themselves out of any commitment they make. I hope this helps if you are thinking of using them yourselves, truly shocking company, best avoid!!

Lack of information, correspondence intimidating, and overcharging for spent convictions. Not hapoy to listen to anything but the sound of your money making its way to them.. i thought i was getting a cheaper deal... this company will find a way of making your choice (once they have got you) pay in their favour! Never again 1st central. Never agian... just to add I have never experienced a sense of being taken for a ride. (No pun intended) in all of my years of needing car insurance as I have with 1st central. Could not and would never recomnend this company.

Horrid company. Demanding things that they have no right to. Refused to comply with legal consumer rights to cancel the contract within cooling off period without punitive charges.
