STAFF ARE THE RUDEST, MOST SARCASTIC PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET SPECIFICALLY A FEW OF THE BELFAST EMPLOYEES. I HAVE ONLY HAD A COUPLE OF GOOD EXPERIENCES WITH THEM AND ALL WITH THE SAME STAFF MEMBER WHO WAS LOVELY, BUT THE REST ARE TRASH

Ordered a CD. Didn't go for the free delivery as needed the CD quickly and paid £5 for next day delivery. IT ARRIVED 48 hours later! NOT NEXT DAY! Customer service ARROGANT AND RUDE! Will never NEVER use HMV ever again!

Ordered and paid for a Bob Dylan live 1966 CD box set, received nothing, phoned to enquire, they didn't know when it would be in stock so I cancelled order and received a refund, Was charged £5.25 for the call! Got the item cheaper elsewhere. If I phone them to complain, it will cost me "£4.54 access charge". How crooked is that? For cash CD and vinyl shopping will go to independents in future and for the internet, will use Amazon as they are a reputable company. Sp angry, they are unaccountable, inapproachable and are even now taking up my time and energy (grrr)!

Further to my last comments, I have since received an email from HMV apologising for the service received and offering to rectify the situation.

I bought a speaker from HMV and it remained in its packaging until opened on my daughter's birthday 3 weeks later. Unfortunately it was faulty and I took it back to HMV in Douglas (29 days after purchase) where staff confirmed that it was indeed faulty. However, HMV Head Officer refused to authorize replacement or refund and stated that it was up to the customer to arrange repair through the manufacturer (Apple). The local Office of Fair Trading advised that it was up to HMV to arrange this as they had sold faulty goods. They still refused. I have now had much inconvenience with lengthy phone calls to Apple, who said they have had several HMV customers in this unfortunate position, together with having to drive to depots to pick up/deliver collection packaging etc. I complained to HMV by email but have yet to receive a response. Will use Amazon in future.

Been coming to HMV Bournemouth for 5 years on a regular basis, and have spent a lot of money in the store. The staff currently are passive aggressive: filthy looks, abrupt in their interactions, extremely unfriendly. Its as if having regular custom is sonething to be viewed with suspicion, or maybe its an alien concept they are not used to. Will be taking all my business to Amazon. I prefer the anonymity.

Justin: Been going to HMV Bournemouth quite regularly for the last 5 years since moving to the square. Of late have found staff to be quite hostile: passive aggressive behaviour, filthy looks, abrupt customer service. Have spent a lot of money in this store, never caused trouble or been a nuisance. Have always been unfailingly polite. Will not be going there again. Will take my business to Amazon that way I dont have to feel uncomfortable. Perhaps the idea of having regular custom is an alien concept to them.

Hopelessly useless customer services ...what services...!!!!!..lies rubbish all devious antics from jenny chief executive pa who blames Jasmin for not investigating my complaint weeks ago..... Customer services manager never got complaint ....yes Paul Johnston Naylor a decent hmv manager stated that bad service from Joe in Oxford street store should be reported..... Etc etc etc.....nearly a month nothing but lies plausible condescending rubbish from the remains of HMv head office..... Absolutely perthetic

Saw Smurfs 2 yesterday! Attentive staff at 'All You Can Eat' and good customer service at H&M, Paperchase & HMV in Angel Shopping Centre!
