Received damaged item resulting in serious glass injury. Was told to clean up the glass risking further injury and return the blood soaked item along with glass and blood soaked packaging for resale. No apology for the injury. Currently going through glass injury claim. “I wouldn't expect you to go through the contents of the box at this point if you feel this is unsafe, this was simply a request our Managers made initially, but obviously if you don't wish to do this then we completely understand.” Managers asking me to risk being exposed to someone else’s blood and glass 😂 Be cautious ordering from here they resell blood contaminated items. Check reviews on review centre we have uploaded images. Edit: we were told they would process a refund and to dispose of the item. We have a recording of this. They stated to dispose of it and it wouldn’t need to be sent back. They later left us a voicemail asking for it to be returned so they could resell it. We do not want to risk anyone coming into contact with blood. They expressed no concern for us and even audibly sighed when we stated we didn’t want a replacement as it would be packaged the same. They only want to resell blood contaminated items. We have a recording of them telling us they would process a refund and for us to dispose of the item. We also have a recording of them later asking us to return it so they could resell it.

Received smashed item which caused injury. Company told me to continue cleaning out the glass, remove the blood and return the item for a refund. Wtf.

Awful service. Happy enough with the product but their customer service gets a most improve rating. To add insult to injury I left a genuine poor review on trustpilot detailing what happened and they have claimed it is not genuine. Poor show trust pilot for believing them.

Ordered ottoman bed a divan turned up had my other bed collected that day bed turned up at 9 15pm so didn't put bed up slept on mattress that night on the floor next day contacted shoo told me to put divan up and would Order the ottoman bed again next delivery no headboard was told fits both no it doesn't had to order another headboard so 3 deliveries and two pick ups got the bed and still got headboard lost 3 days off work due to the poor service

I bought a dressing table from Mattressman and upon assembling discovered it was faulty. The drawers don't open and close properly, and there are numbers printed all over the unit. It was £181. I wasn't expecting excellence for that money, but I was expecting it to work and to not look like a factory reject. I reported the issue and was told I couldn't have a refund because 14 days had passed, and that I should have assembled and checked it sooner. I explained I gave birth the week it arrived and that's why it was assembled later. They didn't care, nor did they apologise for the terrible quality. We had a few back and forth emails. When I reminded them of my consumer rights, they decided to ignore me. I never heard from them again. I initiated a credit card charge back and I was successful - but I felt it my duty to leave this review so others in a similar position don't let them get away with it.

Ordered a mattress and paid £45 for delivery up to bedroom and removal of old mattress. Be aware that the delivery is purely to the bedroom. No packaging is removed, so you cannot check the mattress. Also they do not put the mattress on the bed. It was leant against a wall. My wife asked the 2 delivery men if they could remove the packaging and put the mattress on the bed as it was too heavy for her to do herself. They couldn’t speak English so did not understand the request. They just left the mattress and drove off. I contacted customer service and spoke to Emily, who was as helpful as the delivery guys! She said it was not her problem and to phone Panther. I assume that is the delivery company they use. A waste of £45 and will definitely not use the company again. Only put a 1 star review because 0 was unavailable. I did say to Emily that I would rather resolve the issues over the phone, but she said she wasn’t worried about me posting a bad review. Customer service at its finest! Well done Mattressman.

Appalling. Placed an order in March for confirmed June delivery. The moment the payment received, delivery date in June delayed by a week, not a problem. However, no updates that order delivery date revised to August, found this out by phone. Received verbal assurances delivery would be middle of August, revised to end if August, two further delays in September, now end of October. During numerous phone calls, I was told ship due into Felixstowe. Lost my patience. Quite simply dont waste your time or money by placing orders with this company.

Absolute and utter disgrace. Ordered a bed frame and mattress. First two delivery dates cancelled. On third occasion, bearing in mind I had to keep getting time off work, only the bed frame arrived. Customer service were absolutely hopeless. 65p a minute to ring their 0844 number. Constantly put on hold and having the buck passed. I was asked if three boxes arrived. Yes, three boxes did arrive containing wooden components of the bed frame. They had the nerve to suggest the mattress may be rolled up in one of them!!! I'd already opened them and told them that. Then they went away to do further investigation. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

My mattress was delivered a day early and left outside in the rain with damaged packaging customer services said there is nothing they can do

Ordered a patio corner lounger and table in March Promise to deliver first of June then delayed to July then August & again to September the last date they gave me was October so I cancelled the order and got my money back , I looked on the website this week and the now have them in stock for next day delivery, but they have put the price up from £1445 to £1699 I think this is Outrageous it’s just a way of making more money

Useless. Ordered in March for delivery June 7th. Had other suppliers but this was quickest and told delivery would definitely happen then. Promised numerous deliveries, now "estimate" is November. Joke of a company.

Lie after Lie. The container is Stuck, then the container hasn't arrived due to covid delays. First Due In June , Then July, The August and Then September. Today had an email saying November. We placed our order for the first time based on the reviews but literally we have received the worst service thinkable. Its been nearly 5 months and My opinion is they take your money promising a short delivery and then keep delaying you. I want my money back

Wrong delivery twice and turned out item advertised on their site they don't even sell.item has been returned yet still not had my refund. Emailed numerous time and requested a priority management call back twice and still no response. Quick enough to take your money yet can't manage to return it even when it's their error. Would definitely not recommend as there is a good risk you won't receive the item you purchased. Customer service is dreadful

Blaming Covid is a poor excuse for the lack of feedback and client communications this is a poor get out to the shocking disappointment of dealing with this company. After ordering many months ago we are still waiting and we are left calling them for feedback only to be told false promises on deliver dates or being told someone will call you back, they never do. Their weak leadership team fail to deliver week on week. We have spent over £6 thousand and regret every penny. This has caused an impact on mental health and not having the good to plan around our personal free time with our friend and family, which is very important. You have been warned Go local or pick someone else this company is clueless.

I wished I had read these reviews before I placed an order. I placed an order back in Apr but before I did I called and spoke to a manager in store who said yes the order would be on time (17th May ) as you've probably guessed nothing has been received. I believe I was tricked into placing the order so they could get my money. I've lost count of how many times I have called and been told someone will call me back, I've emailed and also used their chat service to no avail. The order was for garden furniture, a surprise 50th anniversary present for my elderly parents. I hope the senior management of mattress man see this and the other reviews and have a conscience and get this sorted rather than sitting and enjoying customers money taken deceitfully.

Stay away! Ordered in Feb, delivery date was set for April and when April came they cancelled delivery and just said delayed. I chased and eventually after numerous emails they gave me a date of end of May, then… yep you guessed it, they cancelled again and said end of June. Now in July and they’ve stopped replying to my emails. Order was worth £3,000 so I’m considering Trading Standards and possible small claims court to get my money back!

Lost my furniture at depot and can’t have refund until they find it. Reason I cancelled order is because they have lost it. So customer is being held to ransom because of their incompetence. Where do I go now? Disrespectful and disgusting lack of service. Avoid this company at all costs.

Absolutely terrible, as ever! Will never use again. Bought a mattress a few years ago, stunk of chemicals and had to return. Replacement was delivered by terrible delivery people who damaged my house. This year I bought a new mattress and had the two man (to room) delivery service booked, but a single drive delivered and would only deliver to the door. Also bought a solid oak bed which was damaged in two places but i just lost the will to live after that! Loads of other little problems along the way too like the guy in the shop will NEVER answer the phone and the main call centre is absolutely dire and unhelpful when anything goes wrong. Also, I had an any-time-of-day delivery, but they send you a text to let you know within a couple of hours when they will be there. They missing this time slot by 3 hours, so it begs the question why bother sending the text at all it just adds to the confusion. Worst run company I've ever dealt with. If they actually still make a profit somehow I hate to think how much money they could actually make if anyone with any kind of organisational abilities was to run it!
