Buyer Beware, Shop elsewhere - AVOID!! AVOID! AVOID! Spabreaks.com Over the years I have used a number of companies/hotels for spa treatments, Spabreaks.com are the absolute worse by a very long way. Because of co-vid and a change in the Tier system my spa treatment had to be understandably cancelled. Quite reasonably I requested a refund. This has been refused by the company. I have had now had to escalate matters with the threat of legal action to get my money back. In these difficult times every company I have dealt with have been flexible and offered full refunds when they can’t deliver because of the effect of co-vid. Spa breaks.com are not one of these companies. Read the reviews below as this seems to be a theme with this company of keeping peoples money and I would even question the validity of the more positive reviews. AVOID, AVOID AVOID this company if you want to keep your money.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!! They have had over £2,000 of our money SINCE MARCH 2020!!! We had a group booking in March 2020 for 24 people, for a 60 birthday bash. We wanted to cancel at the time but were told by Spabreaks, "don't worry, you will get a refund anytime due to covid but why not set a date in September?" We reluctantly accepted their position. As July came and the situation was not getting any better with covid, we wanted to cancel, particularly as the group had a majority of vulnerable people and a 91 year old great grandma. Spabreaks initially said we would lose our funds if we cancelled. After a number of emails going back and forth, Spabreaks eventually agreed a refund but not until the first week of November. We waited until November, only to then be told by Spabreaks that we would have to wait until the end of December (a further 6 weeks) for a refund to be processed. We have still not received a refund AT ALL!! Spabreaks has acted unprofessionally and without any credibility throughout. On a number of occasions, their conduct has been reckless and they have lied. DO NOT USE SPABREAKS!!

I booked a hotel break through Spa Breaks, but I harbored reservations about their customer service. When I contacted the hotel directly, they informed me that they had no record of our booking and, consequently, no room available for us. Despite reaching out to Spa Breaks for a rebooking, I was ignored. Resorting to social media, I posted about my experience, prompting a response from Spa Breaks claiming that someone had contacted me, which was untrue. In the absence of any communication, I had to approach my bank directly for a refund, only hearing from Spa Breaks after the refund had been processed. The customer service was deplorable. Spa Breaks manipulates and deletes comments on their social media platforms to create a false positive image. There are suspicions of fake reviews as well. In light of these issues, it's clear that Spa Breaks operates dishonestly and should be held accountable. They should refund the money to the hundreds of individuals who have been affected before attempting to deceive others with their deceptive practices

Whatever you do - MAKE SURE YOU READ SMALL PRINT before buying anything at all from SPABREAKS First of all you can get better deals by contacting the hotels/spas yourself. Gift vouchers are non-refundable EVEN when things go terribly wrong ! Customer Service is disgraceful, it is like dealing with a robot ! I have not left my name because this was a gift and I don't want to upset anybody

‘Book with confidence guarantee’ is nonsense. I had to rearrange due to getting covid and spabreaks.com insisted on charging me £25 if I wanted to change the booking. This is going to encourage people to attend bookings with covid.

Dont trust this company to buy your spa break! As you will be left with nothing! Booking was made 2 weeks ago! Only few days to spa experience they inform me that my booking is cancelled and hotel and spa is fully booked on that day I book . So disappointed! No comunication, no alternatives , nothing! They have gave me a spa credit which I can use for next time on their website! I have asked for a full refund!Never again going to plan my vocation through "spabreaks".It was planed Birthday Spa Breaks and I lefted without nothing! All spas are booked by now already!Don't buy from them! Don't trust them!Also it will be reported to Markets Authority’s!worse experience I ever had!!Absolutely disgraceful and I am  deeply upset and disgusted at the service I have received. Please don’t trust this company!!!

AVOID THIS RIP-OFF COMPANY! Refused to extend my voucher expiry that could not be used because of the Covid pandemic. Total unsympathetic attitude. See all the other reviews here that highlight the same problem. What a pool full of sharks. WHATEVER YOU DO DON’T BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

I would rate this company 0/10. I had a spa break booked, THEY cancelled it due to covid restrictions. I am due a refund of £260. I then emailed 3 times to different email addresses requesting my full refund which I am entitled to and had no reply. I left it 3 weeks and I then phoned customer services I spoke to a gent called Alexis and he was very helpful he emailed the manager straight away and got them to contact me. They contacted me giving me unacceptable options and did not once mentions refund, I responded straight away and over a week later STILL NO REPLY. I think this so totally unacceptable, I was told I would need to rebook for some time before March - I am an NHS worker so time off between now and March is not likely and I do not wish to rebook with this company. I demand somebody gets In contact about my refund ASAP. Do not recommend this company at all.

Apparently being pregnant and then having a baby who was premature by MONTHS and in need of an incubator and not allowed to be home, is not a “Valid” reason to extend my gift card. Absolute joke. Money thieving company.

Terrible customer service. I had to beg for 10 days to receive confirmation of my booking despite their terms saying 48 hours. They’ve booked my couples experience as 2 SEPARATE TREATMENTS and TIMES. oh, and they won’t refund for their mess. AVOID

If I could give SpaBreaks a 0 star rating I would... After buying a voucher for a spa day at Luenire Spa London, we turned up to what was not a spa but a Retirement Village leisure facilities, which the SpaBreaks website is falsely advertising. With facilities not working on the day and an aqua aerobics class on during what was the first half of our visit, there was no where for us to enjoy our spa day, so we left without using any facilities or receiving treatments - which the spa staff completely agreed with. SpaBreaks have been extremely unhelpful in understanding the issues and I have only received a 50% refund, with their customer experience liaison no longer responding to any messages. I am now £96 out of pocket, have wasted a day annual leave and am extremely frustrated and upset. It's clear this company does not care about looking after their customers, they only care about tricking people into parting with their money and refusing to refund when they are at fault.

Awful experience. On 3 occasions the package booked online was not available and we were forced to continue to try and rebook on every occasion due to them only ever issuing a credit note. The customer service is appalling, there is no aftercare or support once they have your money. When I contested the original issue I was point blank told there is nobody more senior to escalate a complaint to (by Sinead) this was clearly a lie as subsequent complaints were escalated higher when the spas kept cancelling our booking due to “no availability”. One of these occurred 6 days after booking and meant we only had 72 hours notice that our weekend plans were cancelled. On many occasions throughout this horrific experience I was constantly having to chase to get responses. Any booking giant his company is clearly de-prioritised by the spa so it really is not worth it - just book with the spa direct! Many of the SpaBreak packages don’t save you any money and some even cost more than going direct!

NO STAR!! £358 voucher couldn’t be used because I didn’t email them, horrible customer service, do not bother with them, go straight to the spa as it’s the same price. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Booked for a spa day through spa breaks for 2 people at Bannatyne health club and spa wild moor Stratford upon Avon. They sent times which were unsuitable I called Bannatynes and asked to change the times for the facial and massage and was told that someone from the spa team would ring me but no one called me and couldn’t offer me anything to suit our diary i got in touch with spa breaks but was told straight away that they would not refund me. I would avoid using this company as they were also very abrupt and rude and are only after money and don’t care about reputation AVOID AVOID AVOID

The price is not what they say it is! I booked and paid for 2 guests at for a spa stay and a day later I got another call back to say I needed to pay more as they “got the price wrong.” Not only this, the manager did not care at all and just told me that she would give me a refund instead of apologising and matching what was provided on the website and taken out of my bank account. Ended up paying almost double the price that was shown on the website.

Total nightmare . Could not get refunded after numerous emails to company. Spabreaks originally booked for a Eden Hall, upon reservation was told that Eden Hall is not taking any more bookings! Only way to get money back was through my bank . If your having problems please contact your bank.

Unfortunately there is no way I cannot put 0 Stars before being able to make a review . This company definitely does not deserve even 1 Star ! My husband and I travelled to Hazlewood Castle for a 3 night Spa break . This was a gift from our son for Mothers Day . On arriving at the Hotel we were told they hadn’t been told from Spa Breaks that we had requested a dog friendly room . This had all clearly been notified by us by email as well as the date for our Spa session which was booked for the following day . We went to the room that had been then allocated to us which we were told had been upgraded . On entering the room there was a strong smell of smoke ( this hotel is supposed to be completely smoke free . ) The room had not yet been made up there was dirty crockery and used towels lying on the floor To add fuel to the fire our spa treatment had been incorrectly booked for that afternoon and we were told that there was no way they could change this as they were fully booked . Going back to Reception to tell them we were not staying considering the circumstances and asked for a complete refund they told us that they could not do this as it had to come from ‘ Spa Breaks’ . On contacting them on our return we have been shifted from pillar to post in trying to get a satisfactory response from them .
