Got problems at home lot of crashes and blue screens when opening unreal engine at home. I fixed updating the bios. I think Bios should come with latest update if the pc is build by American Builds team.”
“There are many companies offering bespoke Gaming PCs, but when I called up Americanbuilds, they
1) Answered the phone quite promptly, and
2) were very helpful.
I was not interested in configuring the PC, I simply wanted something at my budget for my son to play streaming type games.
I hope that in future, if there are any issues with the PC, Americanbuilds can be contacted as easily as they were initially. The PC was well packaged and delivered on time. Setup was straightforward.
I've given them 4 stars as I've not owned the PC for more that a few weeks, but so far, so good. My son loves it !!”
“Great pc, very powerful and quiet.
Not so good, windows 11 required update out of the box. On updating got black screen and windows didn’t load. Eventually sorted it out myself, but perhaps American Builds could ensure windows is up to date before shipping.”
“3rd pc i have bought from them. Very pleased with the pc, BUT i asked for 2nd hard drive to be partitioned and for Chrome to be installed, neither of these happened and an email to American Builds has not been answered.”

- Packaging was difficult to remove from inside the PC, attempting to remove it without caution could damage the components
- Some system software (e.g. ASUS ArmoryCrate), was inaccessible and had to be reinstalled in order to use its functionality.”
“great pc build site is straight forward and easy to use would have given 5 stars but.. i asked for No anti-virus and norton was installed i had to download a 3rd party tool to completely remove it, a lesser issue was i asked for chrome as my default browser but was not installed , other then that my pc is lovely thank you american builds”
“The PC was assembled really well and I received regular updates, I did have a minor issue with Windows where it would not install any apps from the Microsoft store, but a reinstall of Windows fixed this issue”
“Great service. Always replies back to queries quickly and they are transparent on what goes on to the pc as you wait. Pc came in with all the correct parts with nothing wrong with it. Also the only thing that was bad about ordering from americanbuilds was that it takes quite a while for them to process the order. Mine taking almost 14 business days rather than the proposed 7-9 business days. Furthermore, one thing to be aware is that prices on the website fluctuate from time to time.”
“Communications using the chat option was very good. I am hard of hearing and cannot use the Telephone.
The computer I received works very well and does what I wanted it to do, however, I did find out that the graphics card I chose does not optimise the capabilities of the CPU and if I had spent a bit more money on the graphics card, this would have allowed for any additional requirements I might have in the future.”
“The website was really nice and user friendly. Great Tech Support too (Windows wasn't activated, so they helped activate it remotely). I'm very happy with this machine so far. It took about 11 working days to be built and tested. It's much faster than my previous Laptop (Dell XPS). Cheers folks”
“Thought I'd give American Builds a try seen that I've heard so much about them. Over the past 5+ years I tried CyberPower PC, Dino Pc and ZooStorm. I was a little dissatisfied due to the fact that American Builds did not attach a heatsink/cooling structure one both my primary ("C" drive) and my secondary ("D" drive) M.2 Storage devices. I had stated (to American Builds customer support) that a heatsink/cooling structure is crucial for what I intend to use my rig for i.e. heavy gaming.”
“Honestly the only company I use for my PCs, one caveat though, I had to do research on the forums to find out that the water cooler was absolutely needed for the laptop I wanted to buy, when I feel like that should have been on the configuration page.”
