I would give this company ------0 if I could. Terrible experience. Survey done in March this year. Tried to convince us that planning permission would go through (we have a grade ii listed house so were doubtful, but wanted a 'professional' opinion). 6 months later we had a knock back and requested to cancel the contract as nothing further could be done apart from submitting another permission for secondary glazing, which would inevitably have been refused again. We paid £2,154k when we signed up (which did seem a lot for an 8k job originally £13k). Backwards and forwards with emails and calls to the planning department who were the only people who seemed to care, although I am now thinking they are just buffers as it is impossible to contact the department that deals with cancellations and refunds. We tried to talk to the sales person we originally spoke with, but he was rude and dismissive and did not answer any of our calls after that. The 0800 number for customer services sends you to a terrible musical loop that resulted in me hanging up after about 10 minutes. I don't believe it actually puts you through to anyone based on their attitude. Finally got a letter in the post, which looks like a photocopy i.e. not on true headed paper. It has no contact number and no one has given a name to the signature. we have been charged £1,815.45 for a survey that took 1 hour and came to nothing. Of course we understand that companies need to charge for surveys/planning permission, but it is very suspicious that the total they have taken from us is so close to the deposit amount. To add insult to injury we now have to wait 21 days for poxy amount to be refunded. They refer to clause 8 in our contract but there is no contract with such a clause. We only have the documents from the survey. What can be done about this company with so many horrendous reviews. Admittedly we should have looked at the feedback before we went ahead, but with such a massive online presence we took a chance. We just thank God that we didn't get the permission, because according to many reviews the actual work is appalling, that's if it ever gets done. Do not trust this company at all, they are terrible. Absolute shambles of a company. I originally booked for July 23 to have my windows and I am still waiting in October for numerous faults/issues to be resolved. I have had that many fitters, schedule of works mangers coming to the property with the intent of rectifying the issues but still issues are outstanding. I have had to take many days off work and have my wall plastered due to the shoddy workmanship by one of the fitters. We are in the cold months and my patio doors have no cent cover and it is freezing, to top it off the door is wobbly and not fitted correctly. There are so many issues that I could write a book, avoid this company at all costs. I wish I had chosen a local company who take pride in their work, big companies do not care.

Money grabbing pests. Quoted me over 4K to have drain pipes done. Sent them on their way, they kept calling and dropping the price until it got to approx £1k. which means the initial quote was an attempt to fleece me. Refused out of principle, I will not pay to a company that gives dishonest and over inflated quotes. Since then they've hounded me with numerous calls despite me asking them to stop calling me.

Contacted Anglian to come on a home visit to measure for a new garage door. They were able to book me in two days on 13/9. However they did not turn up. Phoned them for another appointment for two days later on the 15th. Did not turn up again!! They had a third chance to come this last Monday but suprisingly did not see anybody again!!! I would certainly not recommend this company to anyone.

Avoid this company at all costs! booked for a survey to be carried out, Anglian were very quick to accept the £250 deposit, The surveyor advised me and my partner it would be 4-5 weeks before installation which we agreed. A Fortnight passed and we received a letter that stated "A technical survey has highlighted that the doors on your contract are outside our scope of works" I can confirm i have marked your contract to be cancelled and your deposit will be returned within 21 working days"! So they have taken the money under the agreement that the work will be carried out but failed to notify us in sufficient time that the work cannot proceed, then withhold deposit monies longer than necessary they should legally return your deposit within 10 days from the day you first request its return

Anglian Home Improvements built my conservatory and later I found the foundation of the conservatory around one corner was sinking and projecting away from the brickwork below the DPC layer. I reported this to Anglian in July 2022. However, despite my many telephone calls and emails, Anglian failed to initiate remedial actions. This quickly led to cracks appearing in the conservatory brick wall and for the floor tiles to crack. That part of the floor was felt to be wobbly – we felt, for the risk of collapse, it was dangerous to use the conservatory anymore. We were concerned using the garden as a potential collapse may injure someone. Just due to my persistence, I was able to persuade Anglian to start remedial actions in June 2023 – almost a year after my initial reporting this to Anglian. At the time, Anglian found that one arm of the conservatory lacked a foundation at all!! The whole wall on that side had been built on a long lintel without any under support!! Substandard foundation endangered the health and safety of my family (and all who used the conservatory). I had to spend lot of my valuable time to convince Anglian that they need to rectify this (lots of emails, phone calls, etc). Anglian left the premises without redecorating the rebuilt walls and left the entire area dirty. I had to pay and redecorate the conservatory, apply mastics, and clean. However, Anglian has so far failed to reimburse the extra expenses that I had to bear. Although I complained to Anglian through emailing AnglianCustomerEngagement@angliangroup.com and telephoning 08001313356, I am yet to hear from them after more than 6 weeks. Last time I rang them, the customer service officer advised me that Anglian have contacted their regional office before and that Anglian cannot do anymore to help and asked me to contact their CEO!!! I have already reported Anglian to Trading Standards and The Glass and Glazing Federation. I think the bottom line is Anglian only ‘takes the jobs’ from customers. They then hand them over to their regional offices. Anglian as no oversight of the work they do (otherwise how could they miss the absence of a foundation!!). As such, although the customers assume they have given the job to a company with a name – the company (Anglian) has no idea how the job is done. Therefore, the work cannot be depended on. More importantly, when an issue arises, I found it was extremely difficult to reach them. Even when you reach them, their responses are frustrating and disappointing and delayed. I felt the management team had no idea as to what they are doing or supposed to do. Going through the Trustpilot reviews, most of the happy customers are, in fact, still in early parts of their journey with Anglian (and I feel sorry for them, as they don’t know what is to come!!). Like them, I was very happy at their ‘selling phase’. But negative feedback is almost all from the customers who have had the jobs done and experienced how bad their jobs are. A score of 3.9/5 after 30,000+ reviews with 21% giving either one of two stars is bad enough. Please read this and reconsider giving Anglian a job. You can get a better job done through so many others. I will NOT RECOMMEND Anglian to anyone. Don’t risk your money and your safety.

This is my second review of Anglian ,if I could give them 0 I would. After having my windows fitted at the end of march I had to have a window refitted as the window fitters did not fit the lead flashings behind the window so if we had a good down pour then the rain would come in. After several months of trying to rectify this I finally had it refitted only due to the inspector coming out and the installation manager. But also on the initial fitting the installers damaged my bath . After 4 months of constant calls and emails I finally got an insurance claim number . After being told that they had people who would come and repair my bath I was asked to get an independent quote to which I did . Now after several emails still no one has come back to me . Anyone looking for new windows or doors steer clear of this company maybe lack of customers is the only way this company will learn .

I spent a lot of money on new windows and doors for the property. I paid extra for there self professed "industry leading warranty". Now there are issues several years later, they are saying there is no guarantee - disgraceful, be warned.

Terrible customer service 2 broken appointments, each time i had to ring to see if an engineer was coming out as i had condensation on 2 windows each time was told that the engineer had gone home sick. Twice i was told someone would ring me back for a further appointment but no one rang, still waiting. Don't use after they have got your money they don't want to know.

We've had all house windows and 2 door replaced in Hemel Hempstead and I can say I was extremely happy with the whole process from start to end. Amazing service!!! Especial thanks to the boys that came to install. They were very fast clean left no mess and did a good job. They took off all the sticker vacuumed didn't make any damages we were really impressed with Mike, Richard , Jake, Andrew, as we were expecting some damages but has none. I hope they get a hefty bonus as they deserve it.

Absolutely rubbish service!! I’m based in London and dealt with Erin Hilliker in admin and her manager Nick. Both full of Rubbish!! I can’t believe I have invested over £13,000 in windows and doors. I’ve had issues with these products within a few weeks of installation. Yet, Nick and Erin don’t want to deal with it as they already have your money! Please stay away from this over rated company!!

I had 6 windows replaced. Really happy with the design and effectiveness of the windows. However we had issues with a couple of the units. This was down to the assembly and final finishing of the glazing. Once the engineers had gone, we noticed sticker and sucker marks appearing when bathroom windows steamed up or on a cold high moisture morning. We called the engineers back who cleaned the marks from the bathroom windows. But the window in my daughters bedroom continually had these issues. We had engineers return many times to either clean this window or replace the unit. Even when the unit was replaced, sticker marks were unreachable because they were on the inside of the glazing units. After the 3rd time of this same issue, Anglian decided to wash their hands of it and now I am left with a window that isn’t at the standard you expect. The majority of the time these marks are not visible and windows look great, but occasionally they appear on mornings and it’s frustrating to see after spending so much money on them. Anglian needs to be more careful when assembling these units in the factories and engineers need to clean them thoroughly before they leave them with the customers. I advise any customers to steam iron the mist onto the windows before the engineers leave, so you aren’t left with sticker and sucker marks all over the glazing. These marks can’t be cleaned with average window cleaner fluid and the engineers can use their special fluid for this and if marks are on the inside, they can order to replace the unit without any further delays!
