Where to start with this review. Placed an order on 01 August. Everything shown to be in stock and paid for "Priority Delivery". Order arrived in several deliveries but one item in particular, a Nash Indulgence chair proved to be the biggest problem. What arrived on my doorstep was a Fox Transporter Barrow, not a chair. How you could mistake one for the other is beyond me. After arranging a collection and returning it, it then had to be "processed" before they could send out the chair. It finally arrived today, just shy of 3 weeks from the order date. 1. Don't believe the "in Stock" next to the item. 2. Don't bother with Priority delivery. You will get your order eventually, but they certainly take their time dispatching. I have since purchased other items such as an expensive match rod and nets but not from Angling Direct. Will not be using you again for online purchases.

i ordered a fishing bag that was in their promo at the price stated £ 29.99. Luckily I had taken a screenshot of the advert because the bag turned up but not the same as in the promo shot. When I complained to head office , they said take it to the colchester branch and they will change it for the correct one as per advert. Driving 15 miles there and back, total 30 miles, the shop assistant who liked to be known as a sales consultant, way above his position, informed me that he could not order the one in the photo as it would come back as the wrong one again. we discussed this a t length where i asked another question to be told he wasn't listening to me, he must have been in retail all his life.....not! After numerous phone calls to head office, speaking to various people apart from Steve Crowe the CEO, because you cannot talk to him or even email, therefore probably oblivious to what is happening, somebody organised a correct Item, I believe that man was called Gary. after another trip to colchester branch as well, another 30 mille round trip. Being foolhardy enough to order another couple of items from another promo, yet again based on being a member of AD , when I went into store to find the prices advertised were incorrect again, do they never learn? Fortunately a decent staff member called Kyle managed to get this problem worked out and he is to be praised. They really should not be advertising these promos until they learn how to run a business, FACT you tell a minimum of 20 people bad news, you tell only 4 people positive and good news. Surely a company would rather it the other way round. I have used the company over the years at various locations over the south of England. I am a member of 4 fishing clubs and will be spreading my reaction to the apathy behind this once decent tackle outlet. You might have thought they would try to keep their customers happy by upping their game instead of just being anonymous and indifferent to the people that keep them in business.

Popped into the Ashford branch today, I was very impressed by how friendly the was were. I just went to browse as you do, but ended up buying not 1 but two new reels and a selection of terminal tackle. The member of staff who served me was very helpful, I would like to say a big thank you to Kate C.

Placed an order for some goods they dispatched the small cheaper tackle but there was a Trakker Bivvy which wasn't dispatched no reason for it. I called their help desk spoke to an absolute diamond of a guy called Jason who was very sympathetic I explained that the bivvy didn't arrive, he spent 5 minutes looking into it explained what had happened and assured me I would receive it Monday and as per his word the courier has advised Monday it is. Just wanted to say thanks Jason great ambassador for AD

Joke of a company now! Taken away all means of contacting them, no working phone number, no email addresses. This way no one can complain about paying £10 for same day dispatch an next day delivery, been 4 days and they still haven't even packed the order. Service is the worst it's ever been. Will avoid using angling direct at all costs now. Have a look at total fishing tackle, tackle UK, tackle tavern they all provide much faster service and you can actually talk to some one.

Has gone down hill terribly since I last used them. Paid for priority delivery last Friday on two items I needed for this weekends fishing. Both items I needed were out of stock in stores near me. Today, a week later one item still hasn’t even been shipped. I’ve spoke to support twice, one when I original thought they missed a item, who then told me it’s shipped separately and I’ll get a tracking code within the day, and another yesterday who said it will defiantly been sent out on tracked 24 and would arrive by today.

First of all I've used them for years and constantly had small problems. I used them for their competitive prices. My local shop is at Goole which I can't believe hasn't shut as no one uses it much, the staff are not knowledgeable enough about the products they're selling also Goole a few weeks ago didn't even have a waggler float in....Hello!. Being constantly let down at Goole and the staff are obnoxious in my opinion I decided the way to go is online...wrong! I'm still waiting for a 3-5 day delivery 10days later, no updates online two phone calls and emails trying to find out what's happening. I had 3 messages yesterday from a delivery company that contradict each other so here I am none the wiser what's happening or when I'm going to get my items. I will never use again.

I ordered a new pole, which by any means is not a cheap purchase. After being informed by DX it was out for delivery on 2 separate dates, and having taken leave from work to be home to sign for it, it never appeared I contacted Angling Direct who didn’t seem to care that I had wasted two days waiting in for delivery and just told me I can have my money back. Waste of time and having ordered plenty from AD in the past I won’t be ordering anything ever again Don’t bother unless you went to waste two days of your life waiting for something that won’t arrive

Order dispatched quickly unfortunately DX Express couriers they use cancelled on delivery day and moved delivery to a week later, after many unanswered telephone calls sent them an email voicing my complaint one week later still no reply to email, lesson learned that's the 1st and last order from me terrible service.

Ich habe ein Paket bestellt und bezahlt, aber ich habe es nicht erhalten. Ich bekam die Antwort: „Es tut uns leid.“ Nicht verifizierter und unzuverlässiger Verkäufer.

Paid for express delivery several times and never received my order in time. Items are wrong and many missing. Last time I got empty and damaged packaging but the product it self was missing. Sent emails and after 4 days still no answer. Tried to call customer service but held the line for over 30min and still no luck. Completely useless Anywhere else is better then angling direct.
