“I ordered a custom Tony the Ant made with timber Chromexcel and configured with vertical card slots. The leather's color is gorgeous. It's a deep, rich brown that resembles color #8. The wallet has a refined yet rugged look, which complements the Chromexcel leather well. As you can expect with the Ashland brand, the leather's cuts are clean, and the weight is perfect for the wallet: It's thick enough that you don't feel it's cheap and at risk of tearing, but thin enough that the wallet is not too bulky in the front pocket (although the Tony is no minimalist wallet). The vertical arrangement of the pockets gives me more space than I know what to do with, which is exactly what I was wanting. All that said, this isn't actually the wallet that I asked for over email. But I immediately took a liking to the one that I got and can honestly say I'm perfectly satisfied with the newest addition to my collection. The good folks at Ashland offered to let me return it free of charge and try again to get my order right, but I turned the offer down so I could keep all the CXL goodness that I did get. The Ashland brand is as good as their leather craftsmanship, so even on the off chance that something goes wrong, you're in good hands.”

“Ashland Leather is so great to deal with. I recently bought a Fat Herbie in natural shell cordovan as well as a Bugs Maron in black shell cordovan. Both are gorgeous!!! The Bugs was just a tad too small to handle our Canadian bills so Matt agreed to make me one that is slightly larger to accommodate our currency. Just fantastic customer service and communication the whole way. Oh and let's not forget that these wallet are heirloom quality. Simple gorgeous!! Thanks guys, now I need a belt ... Brian”

“The watch strap and the NATO strap are beautiful! My only comment would be that the lighter sheath didn’t have properly finished edges, where the leather is almost coming apart. I don’t mind it, I’m sure it will add to the patina in the future. Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase, and will definitely be looking out for more! Thank you Phil and Matt”

“Several years ago I bought my first Fat Herbie in shell cordovan which I loved but at that time wasn’t sure if it was the size for me. For awhile I tried all sorts of minimalist wallets thinking that was the way to go but never really bonded with any particular one. I came back to Ashland leather and watched as many videos I could find to learn as much as I could. Then I tried a Bugs Moran in English Tan Dublin. The quality of this is just as great as my Fat Herbie, it feels so soft and smells fantastic! I’ve come to realize that I feel most comfortable with a back pocket wallet and the Fat Herbie fits that perfectly. I ended up buying another Fat Herbie, this time a shell cordovan in natural leather color. It’s larger than a standard billfold but the special layout of the credit cards makes it sit much flatter in the pocket. Since it fills most of the back pocket, you are sitting on what feels like a nice flat leather cushion instead of a thick brick. Even if you are a minimalist, Ashland leather has a wallet for you. Any style you pick you are greeted with the best smelling, softest leather and highest quality wallet you can own! I”
