“I have several wallets and (last purchase) a keychain belt clip. The hardware is very substantial. I loop the leather part around my belt and clip my keys onto the clip – gives me enough length to open my office door etc. I always pick the cordovan leather because I like it so much! So far everything I have received is very high quality: not just the leather but also the workmanship – e.g., the edges on the wallets are very nicely burnished. The price is the only aspect you know by certain when you order, so I won’t comment on that. Obviously, I find it worthwhile and every item I have from Ashland Leather is a pleasure to touch and handle. Very satisfied customer!”

“Received the Brown Cypress Johnny the Fox. I already have a Color #4 and Black, both Cordovan. Although those are absolutely beautiful, the Brown Cypress is equally as stunning, but more rugged looking and to the touch. It is very close in color to Horween #4, and even just a week out it is starting to develop some shine. I wanted it because, as much as I like the Cordovan shell, it tends to be pretty thick and heavy. The Brown Cypress is perfectly understated, and very well made. I already have too many products from these guys and this probably won't be the last.”

“First of all this is the best quality leather piece I’ve ever purchased, including shoes from Allen Edmunds, the leather is smooth and the stitching is perfect. The only critique I could give is the first card slot on each side is a little thicker than the other slots but I’ve watched a lot of your videos on YouTube and understand how hard is is to source the thinnest materials. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and appreciate the level of packaging that the wallet arrives in. Thank you.”

“I purchased two Shell Cordovan Fat Herbies, wondering whether I'd like the English Tan Dublin or the Color #8 better. In fact, I was dubious that I'd like either one, as I needed to be convinced that a wallet that held everything I needed existed in Shell Cordovan. I had had full grain leather with eight card slots on the inside, each large enough to put two cards into, with hidden pockets behind those and two bill holders rounding them out, but they were much thinner, and I wanted a high-quality, heirloom wallet this time. I was also anxious to see its patina over time. It turns out that I fell in love with how the English Tan Dublin contrasts so naturally with a pair of jeans that I didn't care what it looked like with dressier clothes (which it does match, after all). And I'm a convert--the Fat Herbie holds everything I wanted to have AND MORE! You really can get 16 cards into this wallet from the very start, and it only takes a few days for the pockets to stretch so that you can slide the cards in and out naturally! I've had my wallets for about a month now, and although I'm still untraining my brain from a lifetime of looking inside and on top to access the billfold, the wallet is a perfect fit for my pocket. I still need to find a use for my initial-engraved #8, and I wish I had chosen one at a time. But please hear me out! I am NOT someone who reviews things, good or bad. If I can give feedback to the company privately (and usually constructively), I will. But I love this wallet SO MUCH that I'm taking the time to leave a review. It's a 100% win; 10/10; a royal flush! I can easily see myself collecting wallets in various colors, and with as much as I carry, I doubt I'll be willing to swap things to match my outfits! Just be careful... But maybe one more in a Jade Green...”
