“Several years ago I bought my first Fat Herbie in shell cordovan which I loved but at that time wasn’t sure if it was the size for me. For awhile I tried all sorts of minimalist wallets thinking that was the way to go but never really bonded with any particular one. I came back to Ashland leather and watched as many videos I could find to learn as much as I could. Then I tried a Bugs Moran in English Tan Dublin. The quality of this is just as great as my Fat Herbie, it feels so soft and smells fantastic! I’ve come to realize that I feel most comfortable with a back pocket wallet and the Fat Herbie fits that perfectly. I ended up buying another Fat Herbie, this time a shell cordovan in natural leather color. It’s larger than a standard billfold but the special layout of the credit cards makes it sit much flatter in the pocket. Since it fills most of the back pocket, you are sitting on what feels like a nice flat leather cushion instead of a thick brick. Even if you are a minimalist, Ashland leather has a wallet for you. Any style you pick you are greeted with the best smelling, softest leather and highest quality wallet you can own! I”

“The English Tan Dublin zipper wallet is a great quality piece that is internally intricate yet very easy to use. I keep it in my front pocket (alone) moderately stuffed with a variety of cards and cash. What I really like is the way the wallet is divided inside, allowing several different arrangements for cards and cash. Even with my big hands, it easy to get to what I want. I put an air tag in the coin pouch since I just didn’t use coins. Fits great- This wallet has got smoothest zipper I’ve ever experienced with a wallet! Incredible.”

“The wallet I got from Ashland Leather - a vertical Bugs Moran card holder in shell cordovan - is superb by every standard: the quality of the leather, the practicality of the sizing, the subtle color. A lot of the craft manufacturers of wallets aspire to the "luxury" label, but I don't know if any of them is producing a cordovan wallet of this caliber. Rather than spending time creating a narrative, Ashland is obviously focusing on the quality of their product.”

“I wanted to go for the cordovan natural shell but decided to try out English Tan Dublin. The texture and feel of the Dublin and how the color changes when you bend it is totally different from the cordovan shell. I like it very much and did not regret it. “The piece I got was really nice. The wallet I was sent was an irregular version so I was able to get it at a discount, and even with the tiny scratch on the inside, and the tiny bumps on the front piece (which all polished out for the most part) it's still a really nicely made wallet, plus the one I got has a unique black reverse (most are green) with a stamp in the money slot so its got a real sleek look.”
