Was a little disappointed to say the least when I saw the cost of an oil filter postage and “safe post” brings the price from £7 to £21. Don’t know where this is coming from. But the next ones I will get from Fowlers of Bristol. Disgusting price

I have seen good & poor reviews about Autodoc here is my honest take on my experiences. My last order too exactly 3 weeks from Order to delivery. Their prices sometimes are the cheapest but other times are just as or more expensive than genuine main dealer parts. Don’t be fooled by 30% discounts as opposed to 21% discounts because I have purchased the same items cheaper at the lower discounts than when they are discounted at a higher rates! I think AUTODOC do deserve credit for their packing as items are very well packed in recycled material & their boxes are very strong which is good since it takes 3 weeks to travel from Germany to Ireland! And we don’t get free delivery like the UK for example my total order was €338 and it cost €30 delivery and also we don’t get the option to purchase safe order unless Irish customers ship via a UK forwarding address.I feel this is very discriminatory so you might ask why do business with them. On the plus side they do have good brands mostly priced well and they are perfect for a car that is off the road but if you are in a hurry to get your main car back on the road then factor in some weeks car hire or walking! because you will not get a speedy delivery and don’t bother checking the tracking because it doesn’t always show real time data and unless it doesn’t move for 7 working days Autodoc won’t help .....When you order a part you need to know the exact main dealer original part No and you need to have TecDoc to double check that parts are compatible. Autodoc themselves use TecDoc to check compatibility as does your local motor factor. A part might physically fit but have different characteristics so buyer beware! Safe order if you are lucky to be allowed to purchase it will allow you to send back the faulty part postage paid but the part has to be in the original box & not fitted good luck with this because if you fit the part it can’t be sent back because to be fair who wants your faulty part resent out to them! but if you do have a part that is genuinely faulty it isn’t easy to prove this from a distance and also be believed a few thousand Kms away! My experience was I only had one part which didn’t exactly do what the original part did it only cost €14 and that was the only issue on a order of over €1500 that year I was initially refused a credit as I did not have safe order and the return postage was the price of the item but to be fair after a manager intervened common sense prevailed & I got the credit so I continued to do business. So to sum up Autodoc do need to speed up deliveries I’m not sure if the EU distance Selling 14day cooling down period that adds to the delay in sending out the goods but 3 weeks and expensive delivery charges aren’t realistic going to appeal to many customers especially when other online companies offer free delivery over €49 and I ordered from them on the 16/07 and it was at my door on the 21/07 with free delivery and finally very little would make Autodoc a great online business but you need to provide safe order to all or non of your customers and try other delivery options to get parts to your customers other wise the inevitable will happen. So to anyone in a hurry for a part please don’t purchase from Autodoc but if you need to get some branded parts at mostly cheaper prices for a project car or to stock up on consumables where delivery times aren’t crucial then Autodoc are up there with the best of them. I hope this helps you decide before you order if you can wait or not but at least you now know! One final word when you place your order make sure you add the message that you do not want parts to be substituted with other brands before prior approval they did have a habit of doing this initially but now they normally email but if you keep a check on your order you will see if a item was substituted and remember a offer to replace your original branded item with a higher value own brand at no cost to you is a real red flag to say No..., Happy shopping & safe motoring.

Ordered £158.00 worth of ford parts, informed Autodoc that I had not received them & tracked the items myself through Royal Mail tracking,finding out they had been delivered & signed for 30 miles away from me. Informed Autodoc & all they would say they had been delivered &signed for.Asked for full refund, informed me they had been delivered no chance of getting my money back. If you want car parts stay well clear or this company, you might get them, you might not.
