“As a new customer there was quite a lot of hassle with uploading photographs of driving licenses, and providing evidence of NCD. This is however not unreasonable, and I completed it immediately as requested. I then got a voicemail the following day from Autonet saying they had checked my NCD with my other insurer (all good) but I had failed to disclose a windscreen claim from 2 years ago. They then immediately charged a compulsory "admin fee" of £14.95. I had no idea a windscreen claim was considered in the Compare the Market question about "accidents, claims and losses". Applying an immediate additional admin fee to a new customer less than 24 hours after taking out the policy is poor, and hopefully not a sign of things to come.”
