“Wow what a day, today we went to order our images and to say we were blown away is an understatement. We had our shoot a week or so ago and Kaylie at the Ipswich studio was amazing. At first we were a little nervous handing over our brand new baby but within minutes we were at ease, nothing was to much trouble and it was a beautiful day watching our baby being posed in some lovely little props and outfits. We took the Gold package and had complete choice of what we went for and at no point did we feel under any pressure to spend any more or less than we did. Thank you Baby Art for some beautiful memories, we can't wait to return for our little sitters shoot. Michelle & Dale”
“We came to Baby Art from a recommendation from our friend. They had an amazing time and when we found out we were pregnant we booked straight away. The 2 ladies looked after our baby so well at the newborn shoot and we even had some lunch prepared for us! Our little man is just over a year now and we've finished our shoots, the smash cake shoot was so fun & we have loads of beautiful pictures! Would highly recommend!”
“We chose baby art studios for our first baby and now back with baby number 2, we really can’t fault our experience both times round. The team at the Ipswich studio are amazing! Kaylie was brilliant with our newborn and older sister and captured their bond brilliantly. We can’t wait to come back for the little sitters shoot!”
“I’ve have a wonderful experience at the studio. I don’t understand the comments on hidden costs when before you do the shoots you get a brochure outlining all the costs. You don’t have to have a deal but they give you options. The shoots have been the best pictures we’ve ever got of our son and there is no price I wouldn’t pay for them. These are professional pictures taken over a few hours so I expect a high price when the quality is outstanding. We’ve had a couple canvases hurt in the travel to our house and straight away they sent new ones. We’ve had 2 shoots and both ladies were highly professional, amazing manners and just lovely people who care about getting that special picture cause they know it’s in your albums for the rest of your lives. Thank you guys and can’t wait for the cake smash photoshoot”
“Where to begin. As others have said the hidden costs are absolutely extreme however myself and my partner did purchase a package as we felt positive following the newborn shoot. Once they had our money though all care was lost, both the 6 month and cake smash shoots were absolutely awful. We felt completely rushed, Heni spent most of the time shouting "hey" at our baby to get their attention which in turn actually just made them cry. He would huff and roll his eyes because our BABY wouldn't keep completely still. He made us feel terrible because our little one wouldn't smile for the camera. The two latter shoots are supposed to last an hour each but we were in and out within half an hour both times. Our 1 year old wanted to walk around the studio which seemed to be against what Heni would allow. I don't understand how you can expect a 1 year old to sit completely still and follow instructions for a shoot. He barely even spoke to our baby other than "HEY HEY HEY".
To sum up don't waste your money, while our newborn pictures were lovely the rest were rushed and disappointing as Heni would not take the time to allow our little one to come around to the different surroundings.”
“Great photographer and experience.
We booked 3 sessions as part of Watch Me Grow Package. We attended the first, a Little Smilers Experience with Emma at Baby Art Studio, Newport. We got lost and were a little late but, Emma made us feel comfortable from the very start with her empathic and professional approach, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere for my partner, my baby and I to take our photos.
Emma is the most lovely, patient and friendly photographer. The range of props, and backdrops are fantastic. Emma suppled a range of outfits and she managed to capture lovely images of my baby girl smiling, despite her being extremely unsettled on the day.
The viewing experience is quite magical, from the moment they start the video. It's very emotional. Emma created such a wide variety of poses and shots that we bought a package and now can't wait for the next session, Little Sitters where we plan to take the Dog too. I would highly recommend it and can't thank them enough for the beautiful pictures of my family.”
“We took the full 1st year package for our baby and paid £2000 over the £149 that we had paid. They did the new born shoot, and after that they stopped all communications. They even did not bother to inform us that the reading studio (Henley) was shut. So now, we are no where. The second and the third shoot was not done, and I am not even getting replies when I asked for the refund. Horrible Horrible!!”
“Initially on my maternity shoot as I knew my baby’s arrival date I was told a date that would be ear marked for me for my baby’s newborn shoot. When I went to confirm after he was born this date hadn’t been saved. Finally after a couple of months we got our newborn shoot. The photographer was lovely however as he was 2months old she said he would be able to regulate his own temperature and so turned off the heat. With a stripped baby it wasn’t the best idea. He became congested after it and has had bronchitis (not saying it was definitely solely the reason but can’t help wonder if it attributed as we had been so careful otherwise). On shoot day our photographer mentioned we could get some pictures on wall art, we both agreed that’s not our style. When it came to the viewing I was unaware that I couldn’t obtain images unless I purchased the wall art for £395 each. These images admittedly were beautiful (they were what I’d asked for) however, when I asked to speak to the manager via phone to see if we could compromise and receive them digitally or print he told me no as I would only likely leave them in a drawer or delete off my phone when storage was full. I said that wasn’t my way but he told me it was likely as 90% do. I have photo books & email images/videos to an email address I’ve set up for my son. I am not one for sharing too much on social media. He told me his ethos and story as to why the business was set up and I understand this however I felt so hurt to see images of our family -specifically images I’d shown the photographer I wanted of our family to then be told you can’t have them unless you buy it on a block of wood. I wouldn’t have wasted mine or their time if I knew this was the case. I found The owner belittling on the phone and had to say I think we should end this call. I cried (which as a new mum I had only done once since giving birth) and I am not experiencing PND. Would I recommend - no. Please don’t be fooled like I was I wish I had read reviews on this site.”
“We went for our newborn photo shoot to day not only were the girls so friendly and helpful but they were so professional!
We had Kaylie Jasmine and Chels and they were absolutely lovely 🥰 I took my mum with me thinking I would need the help as having triplets is always a task trying to go out on my own 🙈 but if I went on my own I still would been okay as the girls were very attentive and gave us the help we needed 🥰❤️
The studio was very clean and very covid friendly!!! The girls wore masks the whole time and we were there from 10am till 5:30ish💙
I’m soo excited to see the finished photos and get them up around the House 🥰 thank you soo much to Kaylie, Brendan and the team at Ipswich ❤️❤️”
“Such an amazing shoot , everyone was so welcoming and kind such an amazing team and and amazing shoot , I felt so comfortable too ! , such a beautiful experience”
“Awful experience here. We were enamoured by our newborn shoot so we purchased the first year package at £2,500 to get all the photo's from all 4 shoots, but when we went back to view the little sitters images, the quality was not there at all. Lazy and uncaring work. We felt that once they had the money, they didn't have to bother anymore.”
“Amazing company, such friendly staff and the images just speak for them selves, They may not be cheap but these are memories i will cherish for ever, Thank you Baby Art”
“Please, do not buy into beautiful ads on social media, their flashy emails and texts! This is a scam! They will make you pay, and then they will put you through torture of humiliation, embarrassment and exhaustion. They know what they are doing - using the most vulnerable period in a family's life to manipulate and steal money. At first they are going to trick you with all possible marketing tactics to make you believe that you are losing the most precious opportunity to capture the moment in your life, because spaces are limited! Then, they will suddenly arrange time for you and you will get to know that they can work only for you even on weekend because you are so special.
I paid for my package, and then I was given the terms and conditions that said it was not refundable, and that they wouldn't provide digital files for free. I didn't agree to such terms, but it was too late, because they have taken money and disappeared. Do not pay a penny before knowing what you are paying for. Be prepared that this photoshoot's price is about 2000£. If you get to have it. And also, if you miss any session in your package they reserve the right to take your money and cancel the whole package. Why, you'd ask, because they estimate to rob you from every session for about 800-2000£. Simply because they don't deal with people without such a budget.
I am looking for the ways to sue this company. All the people in these reviews can get together and write a petition to submit to the court. We should NOT allow shameless people like this to use such a sacred time of family's life to make their profit this way.”
“It is a con you literally have to spend minimum of £395 for 5 images. They will put all your best photos in a different album which is only for canvas only. If you mention something like it’s your favourite outfit from his older brother or you brought something sentimental. They will take pictures of that and put it in the canvas category. Which one canvas is £349 which is a lot and can be cheaper else where. I’ve had friends go else where and they get to select their images from all of them”
“We recently went to Baby Art Aylesbury and Heni made us feel welcome straight away. A maternity photoshoot was not something I wanted to do but as it was part of the package, I decided to give it a shot. I felt so comfortable and I was speechless at how the photos turned out. Now coming to the newborn photoshoot, Heni took our son Jude into his arms and took great care of him, taking his time soothing and comforting him. When we came to view the pictures it was incredibly emotional. I will cherish these photos always and can’t thank you enough for the way Heni captured Jude, myself and my partner. What an amazing experience and precious memories to have!”
“From the moment we walked into baby art studios it was such a friendly service, our Photographer Heni was amazing, made us feel welcome, at ease the whole time if you didn't feel comfortable doing something he would change it, so far we have had our bump pics and newborn pics done and they are amazing!! We are so happy with them Heni done an amazing job with them! We can't wait to see him again for the sitters pics and cake smash. Would highly recommended.”
“What an amazing experience, from start to finish treated like royalty, reading some of these reviews is quite upsetting as i can honestly say we do not have a bad word to say, now don't get me wrong the pictures are not cheap, we received the booklet before the shoot along with the digital version of the book in our confirmation emails, and in fact we asked about pricing before booking and was sent the digital handbook in email, surley by seeing the quality of their work you can see its not cheap ? I've noticed a lot of the reviews was all based on price and how baby art have conned people from what i can see i think people were expecting too much for what their budget could handle may be ? anyway, Baby Art we love you and can't wait to continue our package with you, Don't let these people get you down you do an amazing job for those who are happy to pay for it. You get what you pay for in life.”
“I have never posted a review before. However, baby art have earned this right.
Do not use this company, their High pressure sales tactics could cost you £2000. Everything that has been said in these reviews is true. They manipulate you right from the beginning, their high pressure sales tactics will either make you pay or walk out. We were strong enough to walk, but I fear others might not!
If you do buy you will not see a cute photo on the wall, you will see your own mug shot, as you reflect and process the costs vs the quality. It is a con! The entire show has left me feeling very angry, and as read the other reviews it has made me feel very emotional. Heni made me feel worthless, I think he might have thought we couldn’t afford to pay £2000, offering us payment options! I am happy to agree we may have been naive, but I am not stupid and I am happy to accept our learning! Hopefully my post will help you learn from our mistake! Do not use this company!
PS:
To give you an example, we were shown a real of photos, when they finished we were asked to choose a package. I asked if I could see the photos again, I was told no, if I wanted to see the photos I would have to pay £1000! This is one example of their closing tactics!
I said I wanted to think about it, Heni said if I didn’t agree to pay he would delete the photos that night!
Delete away Heni - however, I hope this honest post has more shelf life!”
