“Bought a pair of Wellington boots just over 12 months hardly worn them and one of them was leaking , expected Barbour boots would last longer then £9 wellies from wilco. Contacted customer service told me to go back to the shop which is over 150 miles away , and I had no receipt now sent them photos to show how new they looked no wear and tear and no holes or cracks , barbour did not offer to.repair or replace or discount on a new pair. Very disappointed with both service and product would not recommend after using their products for many years .”
“I bought a pair of miller derby boots from Barbour and they fell apart in a few months. Barbour said they wouldn’t refund me after I returned the boots but gave me the equivalent in store credit. I was annoyed at this point they then had nothing I wanted in my size and I had about 30 emails with their customer services before settling on 2 items I didn’t really want that left me £9 out of pocket. I will never buy Barbour again a brand once known for durability and quality of service has fallen very low. Don’t buy Barbour it’s not worth it!”

“Very bad customer service. Bought coat £219 for my daughter. Within a week button fell off. When I contacted above they offered me a replacement. It turned out they meant a replacement button. This was a pricey gift for Christmas. Turns out it was shoddily made and no one at Barbour cares. So disappointing & very annoying. Rubbish”
“I have had a barbour jacket for years and have had it rewaxed twice. as it was looking a little dirty I asked for it to be cleaned and waxed it was returned to me with tear in the lining I informed Barbour and they put in a patch. My partner put there jacket in at the same time and asked it to be cleaned re-waxed and cuffs replaced. We got it back my partner could not get the jacket on as the sleeve had been twisted. Is there any quality control do they check jackets prior to sending them out?”
“Firstly the staff in the knutsford store were wonderful, extremely helpful and knowledgeable, I ordered a Barbour bedale on Sunday 3rd September 2023 in store and received my jacket Wednesday morning 6th September all delivered free of charge. The jacket is just as expected brilliant fit and superb quality, it’s a pity other companies don’t give this kind of service.

“Seven years ago, I bought a Barbour Fellmoor jacket online from Outdoor and Country. After using it regularly for 7 years I decided to wash it for the very first time in 2022, as per the washing label which said it could be machine washed at 30 deg C. The dry-cleaning sign was not indicated on the garment label. Unfortunately, the jacket shrank!
I wrote to Barbour Customer service who confirmed I had followed the washing instructions correctly and said that if the garment shrank, it was a defective product. I was advised to contact the retailer with proof of purchase. I did not have the proof of purchase but I dug up a review I had done on Trustpilot when I bought it. Outdoor and Country located the purchase on 24/1/2015 but said they could not help as it was more than a year old and suggested contacting Barbour.
Barbour then wanted to inspect the garment and sent me a Royal Mail label for free return. Following inspection they wrote that they had identified the issue that I had found. They wrote they were unable to offer a like for like replacement as they did not have any Fellmoor jackets. But they offered £369 towards a new jacket from their collection.
I opted for the Wellesley jacket priced at £429 and volunteered to pay the £60 difference. This was promptly accepted and in two days, despite the Christmas season, and Royal Mail strike, my new Wellesley was delivered by courier.
I am entirely delighted with Barbour Customer Service as well as their products. They rightfully deserve all FIVE STARS!”
“Purchased mens Barbour slippers last November as a Christmas gift. They have lasted less than a year! The bottoms have completely rotted away. I informed customer service and quite frankly was fobbed off. Not even an apology. I wasn't after money I just wanted to let them know they just lost two customers. Cheap and nasty.”

“I’ve been a Barbour customer for a while. One of the last garments that I bought showed a defect, I informed Barbour Customer Service Team and agreed to send it back for inspection. They confirmed the defect, offered a few options and sent a like-for-like replacement item.
It did not matter to me that I spent some time to find a solution with them, the customer support I received was timely and professional. I will certainly continue to shop with them”

“Purchased a Bretby Gilet from an online retailer but it is quite simply not up to the standard of similar garments costing half the price. The pockets are just slits in the side seem and as a result they stick out like elephants ears when worn and spoil the look of the jacket. Had to return it at my expense. Proof if proof was needed that being a 'label snob' gets you second best.”

Spent a lot of money on a jacket only for it to get hole in it very quickly, sent off for a repair - they have just put a massive patch over it in a different colour to the jacket. Looks absolutely ridiculous, terrible, terrible customer service. Will advise everyone to avoid”
