“Was very pleased with my first order. I didn’t know what to expect as I usually buy my coffee from familiar roasters. The questions to figure out the best suited coffee for me were easy, I wish I had more of a selection or a choice to choose some Beans at the end, but it was also nice to be forced to try something new I wouldn’t have normally picked! My first order was freshly roasted. It also had rhubarb tasting notes and I don’t even usually like rhubarb, but this was genuinely so well roasted. I could actually taste it and it was so punchy & juicy, it made a great cup of coffee.”

“Dear Rate Beans As Covid has altered my taste buds I am sure that I cannot evaluate the beans accurately....so the beans freshly ground by me taste like a good cup of coffee, so at least I have nothing negative to say. If this changes, then I will be sure to let you know. I imagine from your keen interest in wanting to provide quality, encourages me.”

“Highly recommended to anyone who likes coffee - so easy, and allows me to try coffee from different roasters without having to do any research! My one suggestion would be a "Send my next order now" option, since I have run out of coffee on occasion and had to find some local beans (or, in extreme life-and-death circumstances, go without coffee), which can then lead to a backlog of beans!”

“Great gift and great service. I ordered a gift subscription, as a birthday present. Although there was a bit of a mix up with the order, this was resolved the same evening I raised it and I was able to give the present on the birthday. The first beans arrived quickly and the birthday boy loved them and is really looking forward to his next bag.”

“My first order arrived on time Finca el Tambor from Guatemala. I worked in Guatemala for a few months and couldn't get a decent cup of coffee there because they export all their beans so I was happy with this first choice. My method of making coffee is in my mum's old stove perculator if I have time or in a cafatiere for convenience. I found that I had to use more coffee than usual to get a good strength. This may be because the coffee was not ground so finely as shop bought coffees. I am still experimenting with quantities to get a brew to my taste. I look forward to my next order of coffee.”

“I’ve been on the same mild beans for so long but I’m now pushing out of comfort zone and trying to experience different beans and so while I found these beans a little stronger than I’m used to I suspect I could relatively easily get used to them and tune my grind slightly. The slight bitterness is not enough to send me scurrying back to my usual blend and I think until my palate becomes more open to change that I should neither resoundingly commend nor condemn.”
