Out of date beer delivered (not a 'mystery' box). You need to review your quality control procedures, pretty basic stuff. That was my first and last online beer order. A lesson learned and I will buy from a retailer where I can see the product I am buying in future.

Really sorry there was an issue with one of the beers in your case. I understand you spoke to one of my colleagues & she instantly arranged a refund for the out of date beer with our apologies. We do try & keep a quality check on the dates of our beers, but this one unfortunately got missed. Cheers, Hannah

Received mystery pack full of beers well past their best before dates! Disgraceful really. I only noticed because I ordered two packs (one for myself and one as a gift). If I hadn't opened the pack for me, it would have been incredibly embarrassing for me and the recipient of the gift!

Really sorry you weren't happy with the contents of your Mystery Case Tim. It does state in the case description it can contain beers that are past their best before date but are still good to drink. Gift for a friends birthday. Most beer was short dated, one even being out of date. I replied to an email which states "got any questions just reply to this email" to which I was ignored... not impressed

I couldn't find any emails from your Thomas, I promise we weren't ignoring you. The photo you sent with this review actually showed a Bottled on date, not a best before one. Many American breweries use this system. I hope your friend enjoyed the beer though. Cheers, Hannah

Got a birthday gift voucher for 16.67 (strange amount) - I think the sender paid 20 quid. In fact I got the same email voucher twice so wondered if the sender had been particularly generous! Then had to wade through website, register, get voucher codes, special discount, etc etc. Too complicated. Eventually ordered 2 boxes of 15 British beers to escape p&p. Paid about 46 quid of my own money. 5/6 days later, man from 53 Woodmere (I am 63 Woodmere) knocked on my door saying he had my beer (which had been delivered to HIS neighbour as he hadn't been in). On opening the boxes, one case contained only 14 bottles (the March of the Penguins bottle was missing). So far, the quality/taste of the beers varies; some are good; others unremarkable; too many are too strong. I have since been bombarded with e-mails promoting Beer Hawk products. Ordered on the 22nd, money then out of my bank on the 29th. They could not send my order bacause my payment has been refused!!! So why take my payment!

Delivery arrived late despite assurances by staff that it was being sent out. Specifically asked for lager selection but ale mix was sent through. So disappointing as this was the first order and will unfortunately be the last.

Firstly and importantly, the beer is great. Unfortunately the ordering process was not. I was given a gift voucher as a birthday present and I can honestly say it was the most difficult online ordering experience I have ever had. It took 5 days of constant back and forth with support throughout which we tried various options and eventually the support team placed the order for me but this required me to email my credit card details to them, something I would have preferred not to do. The order process was unintuitive and kept throwing up errors. What should have been a 5 min job took days, to the point where I didn't really want the beer and was prepared to just thrown the voucher away. It's fair to say I don't want to ever go through that order process again...

Present for Father's Day ordered and did not arrive even after guarantee given. Over a month later still not resolved. No reason given for delay other than fault of delivery company. Very disappointing.

I just spent £55 on 2 cases from you and more than 75% of the beers are past their best before date. You have sent me several that have a best before date of February 2017. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have emailed you with a complaint.

They decided one of my beers was out of stock without giving me the option to change my order. when emailed to inquire About this i was ignored and didnt receive a response I shall not use this web site again

Thanks for the feedback Chris - really sorry you weren't given the option to change your order. When something is out of stock we do try to get in touch, but so not to delay the order, if we can't reach you we refund the missing bottle to get the rest of the order sent out. Cheers, Hannah

Two and a bit weeks on and the order has still not been received. Given it was for a birthday the recipient not only did not get their present but I'm embarrassed not to have been seen to send a present. I called a week ago to complain and was assured all would be sorted, which it was not. Called again today (I should not need to chase a missing order or complain multiple times). Seems the order has been lost. Beer Hawk offered to resend but there was no offer to compensate for the inconvenience or make me love them again. I asked if they would help make things right - they said they would add a couple of beers - so generous. Refund should be coming - will go elsewhere. Generally a very poor result, made worse by insufficient customer care. Customer lost and bad reviews to follow. Shame.

Really sorry there was an issue with your order. I understand we dispatched it on time & the couriers attempted delivery, but the recipient wasn't in to receive the order. This then lead to confusion about when the re-delivery would take place, but I understand they had mislaid the package. The courier's failed to inform us so we could rectify it. I'm sorry you didn't find the offer of some additional beer acceptable, but as requested I have processed the full refund for you. Cheers, Hannah

Ordered Thursday evening before father's day. Big banner on the homepage said I had 12 hours left to order to guarantee delivery for Saturday so my dad got his beer for fathers day. He didn't get it until the Monday. Very disappointed as first time ordering with Beer Hawk. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't use again.

Really sorry there was an delay in your order arriving. Unfortunately due to your location it took an extra day for the delivery to reach you & I'm sorry the banner was misleading. We are looking to change the wording so anyone living in the Highlands & Islands will be aware it wouldn't be next day delivery. Cheers, Hannah

My son cannot rate the beer, but delivery is practically non existent, ordered a machine and keg of beer for his 65 th birthday on the 28th, June, keg arrived on the 24th, machine is yet to be delivered, it is now the 2nd. of July. If I had known you could not deliver, I could have looked else where, do hope this is not the future. Elizabeth Owen.

Non delivery so no present for Fathers Day. No note through the door and got an email when I was in saying it had been safely delivered and into my porch. I don't have a porch !

I ordered to boxes for Father's Day- only one arrived. Called to ask for another and I was told someone from head office will be in touch. The next day I received an automated email and a refund with no explanation. Very bad customer service.

Beer never arrived as was broken by delivery service and beer hawk were not notified. Meant for Father's Day gift, second time I've used the company, both times I've bought gifts for presents that haven't turned up. Won't be using the service again

The wrong order was sent which was a huge disappointment on Father's Day. Although I was given a full refund I'm still yet without a Father's Day present? The invoice in box was correct but the order was still wrong. Silly mistake to make. Anyone ordering... make sure you open the box before hand to avoid disappointment.

Bought voucher for husband as a gift. Voucher took an age to come through (despite being an e-voucher). Voucher code then didn't work. Delivery then stated to be on Sat. Didn't show. Then stated to be on Tues. Didn't show. Then stated to be today (Fri). Still not showing. Complete joke of a company.

Web site is poor I bought lower braunschweig kegs, no warning I needed a dispenser which cost £189, worthless purchase still waiting for refund
