“Two rugs, same failure and the "blame your vacuum" response I've now bought two rugs from Benuta and both lost their texture far too quickly. The Washable Rug Enzo (£287, bought Nov 2025) was flat and matted within six months. A Wool Rug Lana before it (£213) did the same within a year I ended up throwing it out. These were in a no-shoes household, no pets, no spills, medium traffic. The telling detail: a section of the Enzo under a wall-mounted TV unit vacuumed exactly like the rest but never walked on; still holds its shape and pile perfectly. The flattening tracks precisely with foot traffic, not cleaning. Benuta's response was to attribute the wear to a vacuum with a rotating brush head, despite my vacuuming without the brush as their care instructions advise. They declined a refund and offered 20% as goodwill. For a rug that looks worn out after six months at this price, I don't think that reflects "satisfactory quality" or reasonable durability. Beautiful products on the website. In my experience, they don't hold up.”

“Really poor service and delivery. After paying additional for priority delivery, Benuta failed to post the item for a week and only after being contacted directly. The item then, inevitably, arrived late. We submitted a complaint and the representative was both condescending and dishonest. Tracking by DHL showed the item had been dropped off a week late. The representative continued to gaslight us, insisting it had been posted immediately. They somehow thought it was plausible that DHL, one of the largest logistics companies in the world, would leave an expensive item sat around untracked for a week. Mistakes happen and deliveries get delayed - we get that - but simply condescendingly lying is really poor form. Bottom line - it's a rug. Get one from somewhere else, for less, quickly. Tapi has pretty good options in the UK”
