Update on BHF Bristol .. They have found my item? & some mix up with mistake on names which doesn’t make sense when adding items onto a ticket ? Anyhow they have found item & redeem themselves.

I will never think of donating furniture to any charity again after my experience with BHF. I had 2 wardrobes and table and chairs to donate..in good condition and up cycled. Apparently as they were "painted" the collecters woul not take them so massive waste of time..I had even rang the local shop to arrange collection so why not just ask if they're painted. Basically don't bother

Had made an online application to collect a freezer box. As, always I make sure items I donate have good retail value, as I've donated previously and they got the retail price that I originally paid. This freezer was less than a year old and no defect, fully working. However, after being given a time for collection I recieved a call, and when conversing I told them it was a box freezer. I was then told abruptly "oh it cost us £10 to collect" so I told them to cancel... as I say its like new and would easy get full retail value being a trusted brand. However, for the sake of £10 I'll take it too the local Brick Project (charity that helps the homeless) and I'm sure they will be better on reception. I'm sorry to say I find the Heart Foundation just too greedy for a charity. And this review is Wigan branch

Mixed Experiences. I’ve used the furniture collection/donation service satisfactorily, albeit with a bit of hassle to arrange collections. My items were accepted. I’ve also used the service whereby you box up your donated items, complete a Gift Aid form, print a free courier label and drop the box with the courier. During lockdown this has been great. However, I’m sceptical as to what happens to these goods. I’ve sent five large full boxes over the past year - my own good quality mostly new clothes, and items from my late aunt’s house that were new and mostly still boxed, or with labels attached. I received acknowledgment for two of the boxes being received. I recently received an email advising that £13 had been raised from the sale of my donated items. It maybe that it takes time for items to be filtered through the donation collection centre system to stores, but it has put me off. I wish I’d sold my stuff on eBay and will do so next time I have a clear out …

Delivered a settee to my father, who is in his 60's, got it into the hall way and decided they didn't have time to help him get it into the lounge so left, leaving my father to move the settee on his own to be able to get upstairs to use the toilet.

Absolutely appauling service from the customer service department. Twice someone was coming to collect goods and twice they made excuses for their drivers not turning up. I support the BHF for personal reasons but will never contact them again for donating furniture.
