“I'm shocked to hear, how one of your driver instructors instructs his pupils, whist on lessons he's on his mobile, turned up once for a lesson with his leg in a cast, surely this could put both the driver and learner in danger.
No constructive learning prefers to just take the learner on a straight run every lesson rather than show them manovers in stead of building confidence with the pupil he has continued to put the learner down, even before the lesson starts he as managed to say a negative comment
I must add the learner is able to take constructive criticism but after several lessons the driver as managed to make the person feel belittled. There are other red flags that have cropped up over time
I feel as a driving school you should have some accountability towards the teaching of your pupils, your instructors should be there to teach all pupils regardless of how they may learn, and not just take them out on a straight run each lesson they should work towards building a good relationship with the learner insuring they will have the ability to complete the lessons with confidence and work towards the learner being able to eventually pass their
lessons through a good instruction process not a bad experience.
In the past I felt Bill plant was a good driving school to recommend but with some of the driving instructors that really seem not to care enough, I feel I could never recommend you as a company to anyone in the future.”

“The 'instructor' driving a vw,grey, va22xxx was atrocious following myself along penn rd then goldthorn hill. From tail hating, speeding, constantly positioning half over to right as if to overtake or see what ahead,inc in Chevrons, if this is the standard of his/her driving what's the pupils learning!!! Not a school I'd recommend !!”

“my instructor cancelled 4/5 lessons with the block i bought and even cancelled a rescheduled lesson it was very repetitive. would not recommend at all. i then got told on my last lesson as i was getting out of the car that no more lessons will be booked with him as he was a temporary instructor however i was not informed about this. overall i am very unhappy.”
“My partner has been booked with Emma for a few lessons, she doesn’t turn up and cancels last minute and lets him down. He even travels to her side of Telford to make it easier for her but she still cancels. Very unreliable such a shame”

“Been learning how to drive with an instructor called Emma Sloper , I’ve been with her since I was 18 and I’m now 20 all she’s interested in is her social life and expects you to work it all round her as she’s now moved to Telford and still teaches in Stourbridge,she’ll cancel on you last minute , read your text messages and not respond back also will ask you to transfer your money over to her before the lesson has even started. Since I failed my first driving test in October she’s hasn’t been interested in me ever since , she just wants the money off me . I would not recommend her or the driving school a waste off time and my money”
“My husband had done over 30 hours of driving lessons with his instructor with a test date set for March. He has nearly 20 hours of outstanding lessons with his instructor but his instructor started to make it difficult to book lessons, when asked directly about it the instructor (Mal Singh, Bradford) he said my husband had not paid for lessons. When my husband provided proof of payment his instructor stopped responding to texts and calls. When he did eventually respond he spoke down to my husband and said things like, "you did this to yourself." When he contacted Bill Plant customer service they said the discrepancy had to be settled with the instructor. This is hard to do when they don't respond to messages and are blatantly denying payments despite bank statements suggesting otherwise. I would stay far away from this company because if their driving instructors are bold enough to scam and belittle a 30 year old man I fear what they get away with, with their normal clientele of teenagers.
Bill Plant's latest response when they have gotten in touch with my husband and have agreed his instructor Mal Singh owes him money. However, they are doing nothing to help recover these funds and are elusive when being contacted by email or phone. We are still out 500 and with a newborn we do not have the money for my husband to start lessons up for his test that has been postponed again do this ongoing turmoil. So I repeat stay FAR away from this company!”

“1. I call to book lessons, they ask my availability, I tell them Mon-Thu after 4pm or weekends
2. Take money
3. Instructor isn't available in that time period, says he can only do Thu 3pm
4. I tell him I am working and can't really do 3pm, I'd have to speak with work to see if I can get the time off.
5. Instructor offers Mon 3pm
6. I again tell him that I'd have to speak with work and that I work Mon-Fri 8-4.
7. Instructor tells me to ask my work
8. I say ok, I'll ask for Thursday and that I'd let him know on Monday morning (It was Friday night)
9. I get the ok from work and let him know 9am Monday morning.
10. He misses my message, books my slot with someone else
11. I work extra hours to make up the time for Thursday
12. He messages me asking if I've talked to my company yet
13. I reminded him that I already messaged him. He told me he missed the message and has already booked Thursday slot.
14. I suck it up, work extra next week again to cover Thursday 3pm again.
15. Thursday, 30 minutes before my lesson, he cancels citing car break down
16. I message him back asking if he knows when my next lesson will be / if the car will be fixed.
17. Wait 2 hours with no response, call Bill Plant and asked to be moved to a different instructor, they say yes.
18. Instructor phones me complaining that I've cancelled on him because his car broke down through no fault of his own
19. One week later I still haven't heard from my new instructor, call Bill Plant, they are waiting for my old instructor to refund before they even book me in with new instructor
20. Give up, ask for a refund.
3 stars because at least they didn't quibble on the refund.”
“I contacted the company for an instructor and by an hour time an instructor contacted. He was Peter for Basingstoke area. I passed my test. Grateful to God and to Peter Blythe who God used to teach me.

“I have been taking my driving lessons for a good while now and find it necessary to leave a review at this point.
My instructor, Samuel Maitland, has transformed me from a nervous wreck into a modestly confident driver within this period of time.
After my first 'round' of lessons (and tests!) as a teenager, I found it difficult to believe that I'd ever regain the courage to begin learning to drive again as a mature student.
The early lessons I had with Sam were focused on building my confidence, reintroducing me to a car and developing trust.
Sam is patient and flexible, a delightful teacher who has always quickly identified my needs and learning processes.
His technique is methodical and focused, never failing to deliver an outstanding lesson which I believe has got me where I am today.
At around the halfway point in my lessons, it transpired that I had additional needs as a student.
Sam took the time to listen to my struggles on one particularly difficult day; by the next lesson, he'd developed a strategy that not only helped me escape a negative thinking pattern, but boosted my confidence to the next level.
I highly recommend this wonderful instructor to all and would award 6 stars if possible!”

“I would stay away from this company especially if you are to become a driving instructor and if you have customers queries, they don't want to know. Read the T&Cs first before if you are still willing to go ahead. They gave me bogus info on my rights especially on cancellation and took my payment and said they will forward me the T&Cs afterwards. Now they won't attend to my emails and phonecalls. Very unprofessional and my case is still ongoing.”
