What a terrible company, customer service is not good. Quick enough to take your money but can not deliver the instructors. Everything they say is 48 hrs, waited a week for anyone to contact me. Don't use this company!!!!!!

From day one, Bill Plant has done nothing but lie and make excuses for the poor quality of the business. It is run purely as a training provider for unqualified driving instructors. If you want a fully qualified instructor, don't go to Bill Plant.

Instructor 1/5, Sham Mushtaq, Harrogate/Leeds areas. In my experience with the driving instructor, there were several issues that left me dissatisfied. Firstly, there was an unexplained gap of 8 weeks without any lessons, and I only received an explanation when I approached him. Despite my consistent availability for 6 out of those 8 weeks due to unemployment, he attributed the lack of lessons to my schedule. This contradicted his initial promise to ensure consistent lessons. Additionally, the instructor was aware of the urgency for me to pass my test quickly but could not provide regular lessons. Eventually, I had to request a full refund, which took almost a week to process. Overall, the lack of transparency, unfulfilled promises, and inconvenience led to a negative experience with this instructor. Absolutely wasted my money and time. Clearly has a habit of taking on more than he is able to handle, said he had 35 students. I feel like I have been scammed. Do not recommend, read the other review with this instructor who also gave a 1/5 rating.

Waste of time A refund doesn't happen, need to go though my bank. Customer service is a non existence joke I would never recommend them

Don't book your lesson with bill plant driving school it's wastage of money they don't provide lesson on time and they don't refund your money and last they don't pick your calls and respond to emails .there customer service is very poor

I would not recommend the school. I was with an instructor that would finish the lessons 30/20/10 minutes earlier so he could get to the other students; eat during lessons or order himself take way so he could eat during lessons and also use his phone. i endured it for months until i got the courage to tell him, which he got angry and never gave me lessons anymore. I contact the Bill Plant which took the complaint but did not do nothing about and told me to report to DVLA. Moral of the story, he continue to give lessons to other pupils and I had to struggle until I find another instructor because the school 'did not have anymore instructors in the area'. So please be wise I try to find someone else.

**THIS IS NOT A REVIEW OF BILL PLANT AS COMPANY. THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE INSTRUCTOR HIMSELF - GERVAIS** Bill Plant have been superb as a company, their only misstep is letting a man named Gervais work for them. The guy turned up to the first lesson very late (in pyjamas and smelling “funky” if you know what I mean) and instead of apologising, Gervais deflected the blame on me and suggested he had been waiting outside (in the exact same spot I was actually standing) for 20 minutes… but I persevered. The next 2 hours were very iffy. He proceeded to play loud music and very openly discussed his criminal charges. I decided that because I had already parted with the money, my test was very soon and the future lessons had been arranged before the first one, that I would carry on with Gervais. He then decided to start making up personal policies wherein I had to finish my block of lessons within 5 weeks (this was not agreed upon and wasn’t in writing) The reasoning for the policy was because he wasn’t making enough money and needed me to pay for more lessons. Absolutely dodgy. Bill Plant couldn’t do anything about this because he’s self employed so in the end because I refused to abide by the 5 week rule, he dropped me as a student and now my lessons are being rearranged and I might potentially have to rearrange my test for a later date. Huge set back due to Gervais’ greed and selfishness. STEER CLEAR. But as I say, Bill Plant themselves have been brilliant.

Bill plant is the worst company I’ve ever attended, my driving instructor, Muhammed asked me if I had a provision license, he told me to bring that and my NI, I was confused since I wasn’t applying for a job meaning my NI was uneeded, so I call customer service and they tell me to go with just my provision license and to not worry about my NI. On the day for my first lesson, I spent 45 minutes arguing about the NI, he was saying that a I couldn’t drive because I didn’t have it. I called the manager about the situation, but the manager didn’t do anything about it,so I left the car. Then after I got out the car Muhammed came out and asked me to drive for 1 hour, and I was very upset so obviously I refused. I called the company for a refund because I didn’t drive. But up to now they haven’t given me my £80 I paid for 2 lessons. These people are scammers and are running for your money. I can not recommend anyone to come to this school.

This is the most money grabbing company I have ever worked for. Stay clear. To start with you end up paying £255 a week for the franchise which is all they care about and the training is rubbish as they couldn't even get me to pass my part 3. They don't fill your diary like they say they will you really have to graft and source clients yourself. And then to top it off when you take the car back to them they try say there's damage. I kept there car in a pristine condition and they try saying rim damage not a chance. Also depending on where you live you have to travel far for there depot to get your car for me it was 4.5 hours drive or 6 hours on trains. Also they offer to pick the car up for £300 pound which is crazy after everything you pay. The payments for franchise you pay are Wednesday - Wednesday yet when I took there car back on Wednesday they tried charging me the whole franchise fee of £255 as they try saying it counts from Monday. No logic I would recommend staying very clear of these big firms do your research and speak to local ADI 's These companies do not care about you or if you pass or fail it's just your money!

Interesting that someone wondered what the learner was learning with these instructors. All I will say is that they will be able to turn right as a Bill Plant instructor has just passed our house 32 times in the last hour. I assume this afternoon they will go the opposite way around the loop passed our house and learn to turn left.

So hear me out, I’ve paid these guys to support me through out me journey in becoming a driving instructor, they were so happy in signing another client because money is coming in right ! On my part 1 exam I’ve asked few questions for these guys and they were not able to answer but kept on insisting to revise which I had been doing, been told that if I don’t inform the team of the outcome on Part 1 my course will expire so every time I failed I’ve informed the team, passed me exam and again informed the team. I then moved over to me part 2 and this is where it started going all bad, been told not to book my part 2 before taking 10 hour lessons, bare in mind getting a test date can take few months which happened in my case. They then assigned me to someone called Jay and never informed me that within the 10 hours of the course there will be another client in the car. I mean I’ve paid you guys to be transparent with everything ! However coming back to the point, Jay had me behind the wheels for 2-3 hours max on the first day and on the second day I had a job interview to attend so asked him if I can drive the car first which he and the other clients agreed for and I do appreciate it. On the other hand one hour into the course the tyre pressure light came up and noticed that the steering wheel was pulling to the left and I’ve informed him straight away. He then made me drive to a tyre shop in Edgware which is based next to a Shisha place called the Shisha Gardens. I’ve notified the team of the inconvenience that the trainee caused which they assumed that I was lying and it will be investigated, after a day or 2 I’ve spoken with Johny the guy who signed me up and took me money for the course. He then said leave it with me and will sort it out. Got back to me with a solution of 2 hours of additional lesson will be provided due to the inconvenience caused at the time. I’ve notified them that I’m only off on a Thursday and available in the evening through out the whole week which he said that’s fine. Had another trainee called and said I will not be able to do Thursday or evening and will let the office know. Bear in mind my exams on the 1st of September and this situation was reported to them couple of weeks before the test date. I then got left all alone and received an email the day before me exam saying that they have exhausted all the possible trainers and no one was available. Took me exam and failed, the examiner said mate you can drive but clearly you haven’t been trained at all which was absolutely true. I then sent the exam report to bill plant, wrote more emails about it and had no response ! Today I’ve spoken with someone called Elizabeth in customer service that turned out to be CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER. I’ve expressed me situation to her and in the end she said she can’t help me with anything and that I needed to get in tough with the training team where I’ve not been able to get a response of and why would I call customer service if I can get in hold of the training team ? My question is Bill do you only take your customers money and leave them all alone through out their jurney, the stress that this has caused me it’s unreal ! If you had employed Elizabeth as a customer service Manager what are her duties mate ? All I have asked for is to get the services that I’ve been promised for and clearly you have failed to do so ! Caused me stress l, taken my months of time and not even gonna mention the costs I had to become a driving instructor. Refund me money and I will never ever recommend anyone to bill plant !

Was with a instructor who didn’t tell me we had ran over lessons awful driving instructions did not teach much, lessons were extremely spaced out sometimes once every two weeks got drunk before a lesson and had to cancel very unprofessional not at all happy with the service will never use bill plant again

Avoid Catherine Huxley-Jo, She will scam you for your money. Booked my first ever lesson over the phone and payed £75 for a 2 hour lesson and when it came to the lesson she only provided an hour and a half. Never got that half an hour back as i assumed she would take it off another one of my lessons to which she never did. Was due to have a lesson with her on thursday to which she did not show up. No calls not texts nothing. I texted her the day before to confirm my pick up point and she just read the message and did not reply. Customer service is shocking and give you the same reply everytime ‘We haven’t heard from her yet so there’s nothing we can do’. After about 3 weeks of calling up and hearing the same thing I called again today and was told that i canceled a lesson at short notice and therefore i am not owed my £17.50 from my first lesson. Catherine did not once tell me that i had to still pay for this lesson. When everything goes wrong it’s like they all seem to remember their policies. She was so unprofessional and was a trainee instructor. Why should i be paying full price for a trainee instructor who is so unprofessional. AVOID BILL PLANT AT ALL COSTS!! Not sure how they sleep at night knowing there are a nothing but a money profiting company with no professional services.

Driving instructor was late both lessons, after that I cancelled as this appeared it would be ongoing. Customer service aren't very good, I was overcharged by the instructor £119 for two lessons but he only did around 2.5 hrs in instruction. He charges £34 an hour so £119 divided by £34 equals 3.5. There is no way we did 3.5 hrs as he was late both times and he said he only does 1.5 HR lessons. Trying to get a refund from Bill Plant is like trying to extract teeth. So far and after several emails and showing them my bank statements I have received nothing. They just say the instructor is self employed. So why does he have your Bill Plant School emblazoned all over his car then? Is he not a representative of your company?

Really disappointed as the instructor never specified it would be 2hr lessons. when we booked a block for our son... The lady for 5x 2hr lessons stuck to one Rd the whole time. Picked up another client on my sons lesson as it was easier for her. I have had myself my husband and my 3 sons and thier girlfriends go through lessons This just did not seem normal for the youngest x

Paid £25 deposit. Driving instructor never got back with a date for first lesson, just kept saying he'd give a date. Decided to go with a more professional instructor and asked for a refund 10 WEEKS ago. Instructor lied and said he turned up for a lesson, but I didn't show. Hence he does not have to refund! We have proven no such booking was ever made. Bill Plant still stalling and won't refund me. Every email another excuse why they haven't done it. SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE! NEVER USE MOHAMMED FROM SLOUGH!!

Very negative experience with Customer Services regarding the rejection for a refund for a lesson that never took place. Driving instructor communication was terrible and the Customer Service left a lot to be desired. Cat and mouse style responses from them with an unprofessional wait time. Don't pay in advance for lessons with this company.

Bill plant only thinking about having money in their bank account and nothing else is important. They never respect their instructors. Terrible time being with then as instructor. 1 star is still to much for them.

The instructor from Bill Plant backed out just 3 weeks before the test date, leaving me in all panic as there are no driving instructors to take on at such a short notice. Absolutely gutted if I have to move my test date because I got this date after 7 months of booking at York. Utterly disappointed.

Tell bill plant driving school when we are are under instructuon of road work signage and being told to merge at 400 yards in Liverpool...teaching his drivers to continue right to the end point of merger and then to repeatedly beep the horn to force their way into the traffic....yeah great driving instruction that is...hope you enjoy the dash cam footage too...absolute tool!!!!! Avoid and go with someone that can actually teach you to drive.
