Very slow shipping in relation to when order was actually placed.

UPS indicated in advance that a signature would be required... So onus was on me to wait around for the package or risk having to chase it down from UPS. Something you may want to explore...most other mail-order has not presented this issue. In the end the guy driped the small pkg into our mailbox. No signature.

Nice bags got here in acceptable time- one of the bag was sent black but the picture on website it was white.

I ordered a Can Holder Railing, I received a Can Holder Hooks… I'll do with it, but a bit frustrating. Otherwise, fast and secured shipment.

I have recently written and sent 2 disgruntled reviews of Binnacle. I chose Binnacle because their mail order prices were lower than my local supplier, The Chandlery, in Ottawa. Recently you sent me promotional E Mails for a big "Black Friday Sale" but the price of the product I purchased was marked 'Sale' but was exactly the same price as last summer. To me, that is false advertising. If you are having a store wide sale then you should give your customers some sort of discount.

Hi, the item you are referring to was on sale in the summer and then it was also on sale this past month (Black Friday sale). Both times they were clearly marked as "on sale" on the website. I am not sure why you are upset that we put an item on sale twice. If I am misunderstanding the circumstances please send an email to info@binnacle.com or give us a call.

One of the two air dryers was dented but still works fine. The heater which I purchased for it's 'freezer' function' activates even though I have it dialed to the freezer icon. The temperature of the camper when I initially started it was around 7 C. So i've plugged the heater in to a ThermoCube ...but now it will activate at 1 C rather than the 3 C suggested with your heater. Other than than....I do like the heater for the 3 different wattage settings and other safety features. Thanks.

I recently made an order, and one item was the wrong size STAINLESS steel thru-hull. I immediately emailed the Binnacle and let them know about the error and asked if they could please change it to the correct size. They immediately emailed me back and said they would change the order to the correct size thru-hull (which I thought was impressive because this was on a Sunday) but referred to a BRONZE thru-Hull rather that the stainless steel one. I immediately emailed the person back informing them of the error, but received no reply. When the order came, I saw they had still sent the branded thru-Hull. It is too much hassle to send back the $30 thru-Hull so I just kept it and put it on my boat for a spare. I ordered the correct thru-Hull from another supplier, afraid that I would get sent the wrong one again if I re-ordered it. Although it was initially my error, the end result was disappointing. Usually I am very impressed with the Binnacle’s service and shipping; this experience was not as impressive as usual and therefore disappointing. Small tweaks could improve this process, namely better conscientiousness with following up on email conversations.

Nothing to say on the service as such but for the second time I have been fooled my the manufacturers size chart. Shows the limitations of purchasing cloth through the internet.

I have been buying marine gear from Binnacle.com for more than twelve years. Initially I outfit our boat to sail from Vancouver to Mexico and this year from Mexico to French Polynesia. Therefore I have been buying gear continuously over that period of time. Pros: a good selection of gear and reasonable prices, particularly when on sale. Cons: delivery tends to be slow compared to other online suppliers, particularly Amazon who are beginning to stock marine gear. I would prefer to buy from a Canadian supplier so I still tend to source gear primarily from Binnacle.com. However, about 2 years ago I bought a C-Map card for our Furuno chart plotter. The card stopped working not long after arriving in Papeete so I contacted C-Map. No response. I also contacted Binnacle.com because they supplied the card. Their response has been essentially "too bad" but we are happy to sell you a new card at full price. Binnacle will no longer be my first choice online supplier of marine gear.

Hi, you purchased the card in 2-1/2 years ago. We cannot replace a card purchased that long ago and I don't think anyone would. Here is the response we emailed to you: "Good afternoon and I'm sorry you're experiencing problems with the card. I would be able to program a new card for you but unfortunately we will have to charge you for it. Perhaps you should contact C-Map customer service and see if there is anything they can do."

China has heavily subsidized postage rates that are subsidized by countries like Canada and USA which allow them to send through our mail system at extremely low rates.

The order showed up on time and all is well with that order. However I had sent two emails to Binnacle wanting to purchase an auto pilot complete for a sailboat and my questions went unanswered so you lost that sale and l am without an auto pilot.

Did not notice an option to select a better shipping method , did not expect to wait several weeks to receive my order. I needed them a week ago, would have gladly paid extra to get them here sooner. No reason to have to wait weeks for them.

Hi, we shipped your order 4 hours after we received it. The free shipping option is ground shipping so it takes a week or a little more to get to BC

I thought I ordered the article # Plastimo Iris 50 PVC #: 10722 2x while I made a mistake and I ordered only 1; and it takes a $ 100 account to reorder so I'm disappointed. The products ordered are satisfactory. I do not think to replace an order Thank you

A small product that costs 12$ was put in a box that could contain 50 units which lead to shipping cost of additionnal 18$. Should try to work on reducing shipping cost. May be work with Amazon!

After being informed of a backorder i requested the item be cancelled and to ship the rest of the order out. The entire order was delayed four more days and will cost me an additional week waiting for parts before travelling. Outside the above annoyance, binnacle has always and will continue to be one of my go to places for marine parts.
