“Each day using my biostrap becomes more and more intuitive. It also seems that the biostrap is becoming more in tune with my biometrics. In the beginning I had my doubts. I was concerned about calorie calculation. I have an iFit chest strap heart rate monitor which is paired to my BioStrap. In the beginning, I was still running my Zephyr heart rate chest strap connected to sportstracklive along side the iFit and BioStrap. I was seeing wide gaps between calculated calorie burn at the end of my workouts in the Biostrap. Now running the Biostrap with the iFit heart rate monitor by itself the calorie calculation seem to be more in line with what my perceived rate of exertion and calorie burn should be.”
“I use this every night to track my sleep state. I suffer from sleep apnea and knowing how I am doing is important to my overall health. Am not aware of wearing it which is a huge plus.
Downsides:
Strap is a pain to use - getting it on AND off is a fight.
After recoding, the app asks questions before uploading the data from the band - it would be better to have it do that in parallel or following the upload.”
“I would like to see tutorials on how to interpret the various readings. This would greatly help my understanding of the measures. I have read the information posted online and although it provides a background inn HR and HRV, for instance, it doesn’t go deep enough into how to read and interpret the results.”
“We all know we cannot Improve what we don’t understand: so is our athletic performance or general health. Biostrap is a step forward wearables returning precise reports constantly. I find it great both during workday, sleeping, and training.
When I train indoor I use Biostrap combined with shoe clip and Polar band, and walking/running Biostrap combined also with Moov for steps analysis and in-ear programs.”
