“Overall, I am pleased with this product and would give it an Excellent rating after some minor improvements. I love the fact that it has sensors and is actually measuring things rather than extrapolating results. That said, I often have gaps in data recording (particularly SPO2 that last an hour or so. This also occurs with HRV. I wish that the sleep graph attempted to separate out REM rather than just 2 categories (light & deep). I wish that the band was more like an Apple Watch band making it easier and more comfortable to wear. The purchasing experience was not as smooth as it should have been, and I wish that the online chat help was more robust and responsive. There is much to unpack with this device and the tutorials and online help could use some improvement. The web app is pretty good but, can be confusing .. for example, why do I not receive Temperature data? I suspect that I need another device for this but, my point is that it can be very confusing. All in all I would recommend this and have found the data to be quite useful to me to manage my health.”
“Good size and feel. Keeps the sensor in place. There’s a matt finish on the whole thing and it’s started to rub off along the edges. Wonder if it’s better to do away with this finish so the strap doesn’t start to look dated so quickly. Otherwise, a great update to the classic pin strap”
“Good service and good information available. My first Biostrap was really a beta version but they have steadily improved. The amount of data collected is greater than any competitors.”
“Sorry, but I do not do reviews though, if the item in question were causing me difficulty, you would definitely have heard from me. The item works and I think that I prefer it to the wrist strap heart monitor.”
“Great features, especially the biometrics reporting and meditation options. I just wish it was waterproof and you had an arm strap verus a wrist strap. I'm a massage therapist and cannot wear my Biostrap while I'm working which throws off my data.”
“I bought the biostrap for the purposes of monitoring my sleep. So far it has done an exemplary job of accurately recording my sleep. However, I have had a couple of nights where it has not recorded despite it being charged and on my write securely. I have raised this issue with bootstrap support and they have been great about responding and escalating it to their engineers. Overall, it seems to be a great device, reasonably priced, has a great accompanying app., and does not require a subscription. I also like that the strap is not a watch, as I am attached to my automatic wrist watch & don't want to replace it.”
“It's great seeing what goes on at night while I'm asleep. And I love the ability to see changes over time. I will be bringing some of this info to my next doctors appointment. Thanks so much!”
“I love this technology! The only negative I have found is the step counter sometimes falls off the clip while walking or while sleeping (have had it on my shoe for walking and on the ankle band when sleeping).”
“Works ok. Have to wear it tightly on your wrist and cover with arm band to get oxygen sensor to work properly. I used cut off black compression sock to get it to work. Made skin tender after wearing for 5 nights. Thats my biggest complaint. Obtaining the info I want. I have an irregular heart beat and it tells me when it occurs through the night.”
“Things l love: Very easy to set up and gives great feedback. Support was very helpful in answering several questions regarding certain measurements and their meaning.
Things that could be better. Different strap options. Although the silicone rubber in nice would prefer to have a fabric option as well. Also, having only one strap size is a problem. I almost had to send back because I have large wrists and it barely fit. Additionally, battery life of 1 day is really a drag, but with the O2 sensor and all of the other readings it's taking it probably drains the battery a great deal. Also, autodetecting exercise and sleep would be nice too. It would have been nice to know that sleep tracking was an extra charge when I purchase the strap.”
