“I wish the battery life was longer, and that it was waterproof, but other than that I really like it. I like that it doesn't have a display, and that the bands can be easily changed. The testing seems accurate, and I like the amount and type of information that it collects. Overall a good product, if the first couple of minor issues I mentioned were changed (especially the battery, waterproof isn''t that big of a deal), it would be 5 stars all day.”
“I’ve had my biostrap a few weeks and have gotten good information from it, my chief complaint is the band and especially the inability to reconnect the device to the phone app if you are not near charger. This happens ( disconnecting from app) for no apparent reason, I’ve had it happen with phone at arms length. If these two issues could be resolved I’d have no complaint. Thank you”
“I’ve used Fitbit and other fitness trackers before, but the BIOSTRAP and SHOEPOD are the best by far. The only complaint I have is the amount of time it takes to sync the data to the phone app. This does seem to be improved with the last firmware update, but can still take quite a bit of time.”
“I love the device. There seems to have been some database issues the last 4 days or so. I've been unsuccessfully been able to log in for a dew hours every morning. I wake up logged out. The data from the device seems to be synching fine once I can log in though.”
“I bought this to compare to a competitive product that I have used for the past 5 months and have found that the Biostrap is more convenient and comfortable to wear and use. Charges faster and holds longer and the data is more comprehensive. The only "however" is the activity recording being a manually initiated process. I have multiple training apps and I would like to be able to import the data from those into the Biostrap or have automatic recording of activities. All metrics seem to be accurate with no outlying data so far but that manual recording of activities needs to be addressed in the software.”
“I am really getting into the raw data it provides. I was using a Fitbit which has lots of cute gooey screens but lacks the raw data I need. The unit can be a bit finicky while exercising but the reason I got it was for the other data. I have a Garmin for the bicycle data. I wish it had better battery life needs charging every two days but thats really not a huge deal.”
“Way better than the one that comes with the unit . I must have big wrist though as this strap is at the last two notches which doesn't let the tail stay in the restraint. Would like to have a band that is a little longer but again way better than the original”
“I love this product and the analysis it gives. But i think the app should more user friendly as in for users who cant really make a conclusion out of all this data. You should give a daily score basing on all of the analytics. A score that would give an intuative idea of how recovered are you and a value that will let you know how hard can you push it today.
Further more, regarding sleep analysis, you should give advise on how much sleep we should get following a day. For example if i sync my device at night, i would get the analytics from throughout the day and the app can show me how much sleep i need to get to have more of a chance to wake up recovered.
Other than that great product. Great analytics and the strap 2.0 never falls. Just need to twick the app a bit.”
Hi Omri!
Thanks for your amazing feedback! You read our minds about the recovery score idea. We're been baking something internally to address this need. We might release it as a beta feature in the very near future.
We also have a "recommended sleep" amount, but it's not yet ready for production. Still tweaking this one, but glad to hear that this feature has some demand.
“The device is absolutely awesome - Both my wife and I wear this at night for the very thorough sleep feedback and we wear our apple watches during the day for other feedback. The biostrap provides accurate and vital information at night regarding HR, HRV, SPO2 and RESP. The only complaint we have is with the standard wrist strap that comes with the BioStrap device. It is Extremely difficult to connect and stay on at night. That being said, they now have an improved wrist strap available that is easier to connect and stay on at night and more comfortable. Its a bit pricy at $30 but well worth it for the ease and comfort of putting it on and wearing it all night.”
“With the in-depth SPO2 , HRV, and HR data coupled with Sleep data analysis a complete overview of my senior mother's (89) health is now possible.
Ongoing feature enhancements are unparalleled, and breaking new barriers of functionality.(Remote monitoring, Auto Sleep, HRV & Sleep Analysis)
The only item lacking was/is connectivity under Android (Google Nexus 7-old product) requiring the manual recycling of Bluetooth to restore.”
“This is the first fitness tracker I have invested in. I love the sleep tracking and the HRV has been extremely helpful so far in guiding me on when to continue working out and when to back off on my fitness regimen. If you join the Facebook group the customer service is astounding. The one issue I have had since buying my biostrap was resolved within a few hours on an evening after customer service hours were over. Great job!!! I would definitely recommend it.”
“Great concepruslization and execution: HRV as well as HR, Oxygenation as well as Respiration, awesome activity tracking and data visualization. My only compliants are that I’d love to have accurate continuous HR measurement throughout exercise so it’s all in one place; and given all this data, I’d really like to be able to download it so I can track and analyze it.”
“While I love the product and the goal - it seems that over the past couple of months that there haven't been any updates, including even addressing early issues (the post-recording quick feedback has not worked for months - always need to go back after a sleep session is finished, and add later). The algorithms for sleep still appear to be a bit off; some of the suggested presentation of movement has never come to fruition. It's a product with great promise, and the new Ethos seems even better...but appears that Biostrap could be falling behind competitors.”
