Just bought it and it won’t sync up to my phone, out of the box. Have been going through troubleshooting w/their cust ser people. I think I will have to have the device replaced. Their communication is ssslllloooowwwww! It takes 2-3 days for them to answer an email. Bluetooth is pretty standard now. You would think that they would have this down. So far…disappointed.

I love the ability of the biostrap to measure arterial elasticity and does a better job than the oura ring at measuring O2. However a few things can be improved. The charging dock is of poor quality. the cable does not stay in the charger and needs to be pushed in each time. The biostrap itself does not sit securely on the charger and is easily tipped over, unlike my apple watch which has magnets securing it. The biostrap has straps that are too long and made of a material with too much friction to easily put on the wrist. I find it too much a hassle to use when compared to my apple watch and oura ring. For now I cannot recommend the biostrap to my patients. The software does not sync as well at times with my iphone. The battery level should be displayed on the main page and send out reminders to charge before bed if there is not enough battery.

with no directions and no explanation of what a good sleep score is, it is not of much help.

It doesn't fit smaller wrists particularly well and it seems to not always catch when I am asleep. For instance, if I wake up at 7 but sleep until 9, it will catch the first sleep but not the second round. I would be more excited if it was more comfortable on a smaller wrist.

The wristbands are cool, but one of them have broken after only a few days. The know holding the strap in place has already fallen out. Maybe this in one the sensors don't come with these original straps anymore?

Delivery was delayed. Then my wristband worked intermittently, and the support tool was very slow. The individuals were always friendly, I don’t blame them, I think Biostrap must need a larger staff or a better system. In a month, I had 4-5 tickets open. I also purchased the sleep and meditation labs, but had to contact Biostrap myself about gaining access. After gaining access, there were no instructions about where in the app to locate them, or how to use them in advance, and their location was not intuitive. I never got to use either, as it took so long to gain access and then my armband quit functioning properly shortly thereafter. Ultimately, I chose to return my set for a refund. I loved the depth of data when I did have access to it, loved the clip-on activity tracker, and loved that it could be used on airplane mode. I would love to try Biostrap later on as it works out the kinks in its customer-facing communication!

I love biostrap. But I have went through 2 bands in the first six weeks. Clasp broke on one 6 days in. A few days ago the rubber that holds the clasp ripped. I have a Versa 2 and a whoop. Never had any band issues. I prefer the biostrap but can’t wear it without a more durable band.

I feel like all the info is there but it is missing the education component. It tells you are not recovered but what does that really mean and how can I recover better via Biostrap.

Gave Post Office instructions to return to sender. I ordered it for a friend that was in town for Thanksgiving weekend. He's back in Italy and I guess package is heading back to sender.

It’s not a great strap as it comes off constantly and the silver “catch” broke hence I had to replace it

I found myself swithering between 2 & 3 stars - I started at 3, but the more I wrote the less acceptable it felt. First the good bits. It arrived in nice, mostly high quality, packaging. It was relatively easy to get going, though pairing with my tablet took a couple of goes. It took a few days to calibrate, but started showing some stuff stuff immediately. The break down of the recovery score is interesting. Sadly, that's where the good bits seem to end: - the time to synchronise data with the app is terrible. In the morning, its 15-20 mins to get my sleep data in. The app isn't a big energy hog, but enough that I don't want to leave it running all day (and I turn stuff off overnight anyway). - this has knock-on issues. While syncing, other functions are worse than useless. I meditate first thing, but recording basically doesn't work. I get told the app can't find device (ironic given its syncing!) Sometimes that's it. Sometimes is starts recording. If it does, then it often the stop doesn't work as it sticks at 100% sync and I have to close the app losing the recording. Sometimes it records secretly and doesn't tell me it has done so until it finishes. One day I had two overlapping recordings (1.5 & 2hrs - should be ~20mins), another gave me 13hour. Even when it does record, the intermittent data collection isn't very helpful. I have a similar problem if I do evening exercises, where I can't even get an activity list until the sync is done. - the strap records almost no data during the day. If you read things in detail it hints at that, but still irritating. - it sometimes doesn't get my sleep timings right. At least I can adjust these in the app (unlike for the meditations), though disturbed how it can think I'm in deep sleep when I'm awake. - the three separate gadgets is understandable, but still a small pain - the first night it recorded 3000 steps while I sat watching the tv for 90mins. Support told me I must have moved my arm. That's a step (arm movement) every 2 secs while I was relaxing?!?! This hasn't repeated, but makes me lose confidence. - the arm heart rate monitor is a bit odd in its measurement. Shortly after the start of some exercise sessions. my heart rate drops to low 40s. It often then surges to ~120 before settling the 80s. Again, doesn't inspire confidence. - the strap design didn't totally inspire confidence as there's an obvious looking weakness (though maybe it will last better than I think?) The actual failure was different, as the back came off the stud. Full marks to customer support here as they sent replacements immediately. I bought this as a premium item, something that's more sophisticated than the run of the mill fitbits & watches, but I'm not convinced. The app looks good, but I'm not sure I have complete faith in the measurements. Even when it works, the analysis mostly just confirms how I already feel. But the functionality isn't good enough and, in my experience, too much of it feels like it is still closer to beta than a finished product.

Biostrap as a whole is good. The strap itself leaves a lot to be desired. The actual strap part is not very durable and starts to fall off your wrist when it gets worn after a few months. The strap on the heart monitor is a joke. Falls apart in hours. When/if they get all this worked out...things will be better. I like the red color. Conversation starter...and they say red makes you faster.

Was really hoping for biostrap to work but biostrap was not connecting to my phone. Also, I was really hoping biostrap gave me workout strain after the workout

It is not working consistently, I have now lost sleep recording 3 times in March.

The information is great, but there are constant and ongoing issues that cause data loss, or make the processing of data such a long and inefficient process that it can't be used to tailor your day. Sleep data often doesn't process until almost 24 hours later, and thr device constantly loses connectivity even if the app is open with the phone nearby. I also don't like the random sleep time suggestions: it doesn’t get shown every day, and you can't adjust your personal wake time in order to get a relevant and applicable sleep time, which makes the feature arbitrary and absolutely useless. This app needs a lot of work, and more honesty and transparency from the company with respect to limitation and capabilities. This should have been carefully developed and troubleshooter until it was truly an improved version of the last sensor, instead of being rushed and pre-ordered and riddled with problems.

The strap is much too short for people with large wrists. I have to use a small plastic tie around the strap to ensure the end of the strap does not pop out of the slot in the band. REALLY looking forward to the new band.

I had high hopes for this product, but either my expectations were too high or it's just having too many issues to not be a headache. The support team is doing their best to help and I'll gladly modify this review if things seem to improve, but at the moment, I can't rave about the Biostrap EVO. I was hoping to use it with my clients as well.
