“This can be way better, please come with some updates fast. Being that the Biostrap have no display, it needs to be very useful then what it is. Please come with updates”
“ended up returning mine due to the counters being over 50% out most days and some over 100%, wearing a Tag android wear, Samsung Galaxy & Fitbit, all 3 report more or less the same, but Biostrap was excessively high everytime, to the point it was picking up 2000-3000 "steps" while sitting at my desk working, brushing teeth also added a few hundred steps that fitbit or google fit never did.
Heart rate and sleep data is awesome, but at this price point, would expect a lot more from it
JOdy”
“So there is tons of information on this thing but the information is just that numbers and statistics it doesn’t give you a summary of what the statistic means how it benefits you and or what you could be doing to make it better
The running and work out apps are always at least 100 to 200 cal off of other wearable devices that track via light source on wrist. Almost 500 to 1000 calories off when tracking run with shoe pod vs wrist during run.
This thing would be so much better if it actually gave you a summary of what all of the track information means per category.”
“Consistent trouble shooting, poor performance, long sync times and expensive. For the money, the data isn't worth the net difference of other; better designed wearables. Disappointed overall.”
“I had to have my Biostrap replaced because it went into "brick" mode twice and was unusable. The return process was easy enough, but they forgot to send out my replacement. I had to email them and ask to complete the process. I have been thinking of buying the foot pod, but now I am not so sure I want to do that... I think I will wait to see how this Biostrap works out.”
“First, if these are geared towards athletes, the bands need to be bigger. Athletes will generally carry more muscle and have thicker wrists. I am at the 2nd to last rung and if bumped, the band will fall off. Second, mine shipped without a clip for the piece that attaches to my shoelace. I reported it, but one still has not been set. This makes it impossible to track workouts because both items are required for tracking when you register both. The ankle strap is out of stock and really should be included. In summary, provide options for size of bands, ensure all pieces are included prior to shipping and include ankle strap as a default option. I really wanted this to track my sleep, recovery etc.... and possibly replace my Apple Watch. So far I am disappointed.”
Hi Dennis,
I wanted to follow up and see if you had any more specific feedback regarding your rating. We are always working on improving the product and understanding were we fell short for you is important to us. If you want to give some additional feedback please send us an email to support@biostrap.com
“Auto recording sleep needs work. since the last update my strap has yet to record a night's sleep. Also it takes 2 to 4 swipes tp get it tp synch. I have stopped using it for the time being.”
“The biostrap has offered me the best information to date when it comes to my health. Honestly love how far in depth it measures everything, my only issue is how often the strap itself gets "bricked" and will not connect. Joel from support did and amazing job helping me with how to fix it if it happens again and that's the problem is that it's happening almost every other day. Again I love using the product I just wish it wouldn't keep getting disconnected.”
“I really enjoy the data that I am getting and the sleep analysis has been very helpful with gauging effort and recovery. The disappointment I have is with the app and it’s performance. It fails to connect very frequently. It won’t upload my surveys often as well. In the end the data eventually syncs and is there but getting errors with regularity is frustrating. I will give it another week but I have thought about returning it prior to the 30 days if it continues to not perform. I much preferred your model and data to whoop but have not had a great app experience.”
“Love the stats and the data given by the product.
Extremely underwhelmed by the strap however. I've owned it now for less than a month and the clasp of the strap has already broke.”
“I had someone respond to me - but he just told me not to use it for days and maybe it'll start working again if the battery drains. I may return and buy another one just so I can actually test it. Its not worked for more than half the time I've had it so far.”
“I was extremely excited for this product. But have lost so many days of data due to lack of syncing to my phone. I was told to sync more often to keep from happening. I tried this but still end up having to reset my biostrap at least once a week losing data just so it will work again. Although support team gets back to you in a timely manner the issue doesn't seem to be getting any better in the almost 3 months I have had it.”
Hi April. We appreciate you taking the time to add feedback here. I wanted to follow up with you on the issue you are noting. From your previous inbound to support and your notes here the device sync is causing some serious issues. Maybe even causing data loss which is definitely not the experience we want our users to have.
If you are interested I would like to investigate this issue further and see what could be happening here to cause the slow sync times and data loss.
I would love to get more data on how exactly you are using the device. How often you open the app to sync? How often you charge the app? What does a normal day of using the app look like for your? It may give us some additional insight here so we can make this process smoother.
I am going to reach out to you via email. We would love to see what we can do to make the experience better for you.
“Struggling with the device. Hard to put on and take off, uncomfortably tight. Can't get it to reliably track unless its an activity. For $250 had hoped for better.”
“Split minded with your product, think it offers a great piece of software...missing HR analysis after a workout however! The strap that comes as standard is required to be snug to the wrist, but pops off if any movement or strenuous work, for example lifting boxes. After purchasing your sports strap, I also find that this is not designed by someone who trains/workout a lot as it is still poorly made, and after a few weeks is already exhibiting signs of wear and tear.
Thirdly, please include taxes in your first initial payment. This was highly stressing as I use my biostrap as a professional athlete everyday, and an email threatening to turn it off if fees are paid, which is the sellers responsibility to include in the initial payment.
I am a big fan of your product, and sorry if this seems highly critical, but hope the feedback is invaluable...after all I am giving it to you for free. But also helps make your product better, as I think you have something great here.
Looking forward to hearing back from you guys,
My email is alex_brown32@hotmail.com
Kind regards,
Alex”
Hi Neil.
The strap does track a lot of biometrics and understanding what that information means can get a little complicated.
If you want to get a better understanding of the metrics check out our FAQ page. Here are a couple links to get you started.
