“Nice desk. Delivery was late and communication was poor.”

Hi, thank you very much for your review. We're glad you're happy with your desk but sorry that your delivery was late and that you were unhappy with the communication you received from ourselves. Unfortunately, our courier has experienced some delays with deliveries after they leave our warehouse due to depot closures and staff shortages caused by the coronavirus pandemic. We have been working with them to keep customers in the loop so are very sorry that our customer service fell below our usual levels on this occasion. “There's a damage to the RHS bottom corener/edge of the grey front panel and the top LHS screw hole is also damaged. There are some streaks on the white desk top. That's said, I can now get on with some work so I'm relieved.”

“The furniture had very little instruction on how to assemble, and was slightly scratched upon delivery. Otherwise it is a decent quality product for it's price”

“It was delivered very quickly and was easy to put together. I fortunately there are quite a few scratches on the cupboard and an actual dent on one of the corners. I think these have resulted from poor delivery.”

“They won't bring the products into your office. They leave on the pavement on a pallet to bring in yourself! Not acceptable when you work alone.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your delivery not being brought in to your office. As per the delivery terms on our website, we state that all deliveries are kerb-side only, which is standard practice in the office furniture industry. This is due to the lack of insurance for the delivery drivers to enter any premises with the couriers we use. While we have looked at alternative solutions, the increased courier costs would significantly increase our prices, which is not a realistic solution based on the needs of the majority of our customers. In order to offer an alternative, we do offer a full delivery and installation service, which involves delivery to the room of your choice, assembly and setup of the furniture and the removal of all packaging materials. Due to the costs involved in this, we are only able to offer this service to orders over a certain value, but you may wish to look into this option if you wish to order with us again in future.

“Assembly instructions were very poor. Instead of an instruction book from start to finish you receive bits of A4 paper included in the package, this makes it easy to make a mistake. I had to redo most of the work that i did because the instructions were misleading. One size fits all instructions don't help. At the end of the project i was left with many pieces. Little things with the design could make it so much easier with the assembly. Marking parts left and right with a sticker would help. i never realised that i should have put the drawers on before assembling the desk. I had to put these on once the desk was assembled and it was difficult. If i had received complete instructions that told me to put the drawers on first i would have saved time.”

“Plus sides: Good range of products to choose from Good service with sending out the samples Nice-looking furniture providing stylish storage solution Aspects which were less positive: Instructions could have been clearer; there were some points that led to confusion and the building process took longer than anticipated. One of the cupboard doors had been damaged in transit (damage is minor and is on the inside so we are not requesting a replacement). The fit of the back of the units to their frames was poor resulting in a gap at the bottom and the top. We had to add extra screws to improve the fit which we felt was disappointing given the price of the units).”

“The delivery did not arrive on the agreed date and despite my sending an email to them I was not informed there was a problem. I called the next day to find out what had happened and they were very apologetic and polite and said that the order could be delivered that day. There had been a problem with the delivery and installation of another job the previous day which had resulted in me not getting mine. I had paid extra for the installation service. They refunded half the delivery and installation cost as an apology. When the office chair arrived it was left in the garden packed up and I had to unpack it and take it inside. (Even though I had paid extra for delivery and installation). When the furniture was installed the "bookcases" actually turned out to be cupboard carcasses. I was very disappointed with the overall look of them. When I asked whether I had been sent cupboard carcasses by mistake instead of book cases, I was told that although yes they are essentially cupboards with out doors that they were stronger than bookcases! I was sent stickers to cover all the pre drilled holes that are for the locking mechanisms for the doors. I was very disappointed.”

“The furniture I received was made out of high quality material. However, due to the soft wood connectors inside, it did not properly stay together, despite following the manuals instructions. I had to screw nails into it so it did not fall apart. So apart from it being reasonably stable, there was a large amount of broken wood left on the floor after assembly.”

“Kit Out My Office were able to provide a desk to my requirements and deliver it next day. Its a shame the delivery company let them down, as the company dumped the furniture onto a public footpath, blocking the footpath and expected a female to be able to move the large, heavy boxes into the property.”

“Product was OK however issues with delivery were simply blamed on 3rd party suppliers and no responsibility taken. Result was I had to take 3 days off work to wait for 1 delivery.”

“I was pleased with the quality and delivery of my recent purchase, which was a desk, but I do have one complaint. I ordered a 1200mm long desk. The sales information said it was a 1200mm desk even the box it came in said it was a 1200mm desk but it wasn't. It was 1150mm in old money that's a full 2" shorter than what I ordered. Had I realised this fact I would not have bought it as that extra 50mm is important in the situation I am in. I should have returned it but that would have been even more inconvenient so I have had to work round it. Hence the score above.”
