I sent in two books and both were rejected despite being in usable condition. I had used several other sites and resold books that were in a similar condition and had no problem with them. They don't even bother to contact you about it.

Our records show that your books were received and paid at the full quoted price. These textbooks were not rejected, however they did arrive at our warehouse quite a bit later than usual, which is why the order took a little longer to have payment issued. You quoted my book return as being worth a little over $100, and I got a check for $13 because the books I sent that were validated and accepted with an ISBN by the website were suddenly 'not accepted' once you got them. 2 of the books were brand new, and were rejected.

When you placed the buyback order, you were given a quote based on the ISBN that was entered. This is not a guarantee you will receive this amount as all books are carefully inspected by our processing team upon arrival. We have received and processed the textbooks that you sent, however unfortunately the books that we received were not the books that you were originally quoted for. Payment that was issued for your order was based on the books that we actually received from you. Your Bookbyte.com account was updated to reflect this on 7/2/2021. I sent a book to Bookbyte for resale that was in good condition. However, Bookbyte said that the book was damaged and gave me no money for it. I feel like I have been scammed.

When you placed the buyback order, you were given a quote based on the ISBN that was entered. This is not a guarantee you will receive this amount as all books are carefully inspected by our processing team upon arrival. Upon receiving your book titled "Van De Graaffs Photographic Atlas for the Biology Laboratory", our Buyback team found that it contained cover/binding damage which prevents normal use of the book. Since we are unable to resell books that can not be used, the damaged book was rejected from your order. Your Bookbyte account was updated to reflect this rejected status as of 7/6/2021, which is when your item was inspected. We do provide information on your order through your Bookbyte.com account, and you can always feel free to reach out to our Customer Service team as we are happy to help. Our records show that your order was received and processed within our estimated 3-5 business day processing period. Your payment was then issued the very next day! Since you selected check by mail, checks can take an estimated 3-7 business days to receive via USPS First Class Mail, but we do also offer PayPal payment options which would have had your payment to you much sooner. I was disappointed with Bookbyte, this was my first time using them and after 3-4 weeks, I checked on the status of my returned book and they said it was still not received. I used the shipping label that Bookbyte sent me. After several emails back and forth, I was told that I would need to file a claim with the Post Office. It was not a good experience for me, but I am hopeful that I was an exception to the rule.

I used 4 companies to sell back my books. All but Bookbyte has sent me a check. I shipped the book 1/11/21. Bookbyte acknowledged receipt 1/19/21. They said it would take 7 days to receive a check. It is now 2/7/21 and I am still waiting.

It has been several weeks and I have not been paid. I reached out to customer service who said it would be 3-7 business days for this to be investigated. It has now been 9 days and I have not received any update or payment.

Our 3-5 business day processing time-frame is from when our warehouse receives your package, not from the day that your order was created. The prepaid USPS mailing label can take an estimated 4-14 business days to deliver, however our records show yours only took 3. Your order was then processed within our estimated 3-5 business day processing period and payment was issued in full the very next day to your PayPal account. Book bite try to scam me like almost everybody else as it seems from their reviews. They said that I only sent one book out of three, although they were all in the same packaging and they played dumb acting like they just mysteriously disappeared into thin air. They requested I get confirmation of the weight of the package that I shipped even though they give out a shipping label with a predetermined wait.. it is a total scam I was able to eventually get the the proof from USPS I needed and they gave me all of my money but it took almost a week and a lot of my extra time to track all of this down. Look up reviews before using them.

However, after reaching out to our Customer Service team, we were able to get you your full payment with the additional information you were able to provide. Before selling my book I made sure to read most reviews and all where extremely good. However, sadly I didn’t have a good experience I never received my textbook money. My book was sent on time and received as indicated it was also approved but I never received the money. Still waiting haha after 2 months.

We do offer check by mail as well as PayPal payment options if you don't wish to wait for a check. Our records show that your full payment was issued on 7/13/2020 via your requested check by mail, and when that was not received we issued a replacement payment via PayPal. They confiscated one of my books and said it wasn't an official copy. Of course it was the most expensive book. I understand what they said about the book BUT, they have a vested interest in making money from books. The only thing I have is: their Word, that the book was not an official copy. No proof or anything was offered. Just Their Word, which isn't good enough for me. Show me the proof, the report, etc. I may even make a trip down to Portland and File a report. Not happy.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I do understand your frustration not receiving payment you were expecting for your order so I hope to bring further clarification today. Upon receiving books, our Buyback team first checks the ISBN on the book to ensure that it's the same as the ISBN on the order. Then they check the condition of the book. When checking the condition of the book, they also check for book authenticity. Unfortunately our buyback team inspected your book titled "Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy, Fifth Edition" and found it to be an inauthentic copy. They are investigating how this item was illegally produced, however we are unable to return the book since it is an inauthentic copy and should not be in circulation. I would again recommend that you contact the company you ordered this item from and advise them of the issue as they will need to reimburse you for the book.
