“Very well. Where shall I begin? We were sent the wrong screws with the initial delivery. We scratched our heads as to why the screws wouldn't sink into the steel frame unless we pre-drilled the holes. As the deck is 140 m2 this meant we had to predrill 1000's of holes. Anyway, we did it. Then we ran out of these dodgy screws and had nothing. So we asked for more and were sent timber screws, even though we had sent several pictures and emails clearly showing we were using a steel frame. Then we were sent the correct screws. These screws don't require us to predrill the holes saving us a tonne of time. Alas, we are 95% completed already when we realise this. Even though we sent the engineering plans Brite Decking over estimated and sent us 17% too many boards, which equates to $5100 in unused boards and overpayment. You sent us about 500 more of the metal clips than we could possible need while at the same time you didn't send us enough anti-creep clips meaning for the 4th time we had to stop work while we wait for you to send more. The instructions on the Brite Decking website were nothing like the accessories we were provided with. The fascia boards are not wide enough. We had to figure out how to properly trim the edges of the deck ourselves. If we hadn't figured out a trim/angle solution the whole project would have come out looking terrible. The joke on site here is that you guys should change your name to "Not so Brite Decking". For a $30K investment our deck will eventually come out looking great, But this is only because the boards look good. The rest of the experience made me wonder whether some people on your team have taken a course in stupidity and tried really hard. Regards, Phil Mathieson”
“Had multiple problems with this product, the supplied screws were cheap and keep breaking. The end caps don't attach correctly, leaving gaps. Scratches easily and had a board that was 2mm short in width which threw out the whole deck. Customer service regarding these problems was non existent. I had to purchase extra screws and fittings to make the deck work. I would not purchase this product and wished I hadn't.”
“Steve at Brite deck Brisbane was very responsive and patient. We loved that this is Australian owned and like supporting local businesses. Our project is well under way and we are loving everything so far. Product looks great and is easy to clean. The process from sales room visit to delivery of product was seamless. Very happy and would definitely reccomend. Thank you.”
“I am midway through renovating my deck and I am finding the boards easy to work with. My only complaint is that it comes with 5 different types of screws with 2 different screw head sizes T25 and T20. This just doesn't make sense to me. Using a Phillips head would make more sense.”
“This is the first I used the Birte decking and I think it's awsome. To install it was easier than I thought it would, it seems to be a good quality product and it looks really good. I will be using it again for future projects.”
“Extremely happy with the service and quality of Brite Decking. I was very pleased with the assistance afforded me by Laura in organising samples, delivery of the boards and advice (especially the installation). Thank you.”
“Great product have already had loads of comments on the look of the product. Did have a few faulty ones though so may need to look at how these are delivered”
“The product is great, however, 2 planks were obviously from a different batch. This wasn't a problem as we had luckily over ordered, therefore, it was unnecessary to use these. I am particularly happy with the actual colour and product. However, delivery has not been as I would have expected from a company such as yours. The first (and what should have been the only) delivery was on time and I thought complete until we commenced the job. Turned out that 7 bullnose planks were not included. After contacting Brites I was led to believe the missing planks would be delivered 1 week later. However, only 5 turned up. This was unsatisfactory as we were waiting on 7 to finish the job. As I write this, the job is concluding today and we are still short 2 planks. When they finally arrive the builder will have to return (a 1 hour trip) to satisfactorily complete the job. I am sure this is not the kind of feedback you want about your business.”
“It was a pleasure to deal with Brite Decking. All of our questions were answered immediately and great advice was offered too which we took up. Would recommend their service highly.”
“Justin gave us a very good service. He told us how to install the decking and selcet material and all information. In this way we installed the decking very easy, saved a lot of time.
Your service is much better than Bunnings and other companies. We like to buy your boards in future if we need.
Thank you very much for your hard work and help us a lot !

“boards still creep even when using the teeth blocks, the planks are not uniform width and the end caps are useless as they fall in, then they fall out "need to be glued in"”
““Cracking boards, cracking boards everywhere!"
Just like all bad reviews I read about Brite Decking, this one is about not caring about their customers, warranties, and the overall poor quality of the product. I have a warranty issue which I reported 15/03/2022 and the first couple of months after reporting it, I was being ignored. Just ignored. No debate, no nothing, just ignored. I got told that the founder of the company was in Columbia, and he needed to deal with this. I guess the whole warranty process falls apart if 1 guy goes to Columbia and apparently emails don’t work there either?
As I have seen on different review platforms this seems to be the way they avoid honouring warranties. They try to drain you until you give up. But I did not give up and finally after 4 months of ridiculous excuses, somebody finally came round and admitted the product is faulty, but the solution offered would still leave me at least $10,000 out of pocket myself to rectify all the issues and I would need to dispose of the faulty boards myself.
They advertise on FB as a true-blue Australian company with long warranties. And mentioned that several times in the quoting process claiming they were manufacturer and supplier. So, I did the right thing and bought products from them late 2018 & again in 2021. Very responsive and attentive during those sales processes. Could not fault them. But of course, that is at the stage where I am spending money with them (Over $14,000 in total).
Turned out they did not manufacture themselves and started shifting blame on “their supplier”. Which is amazing since I have emails from them in 2018 claiming they manufactured the product themselves.
The whole idea about composite boards is that they are low maintenance and will last for years, what a joke if you get them from Brite Decking.
I have lodged with NSW NCAT & NSW Fair Trading as have done many other people. The more of us that put a complaint in, the better. So, this company gets stopped before they do even more damage. It might even be a good idea to get A Current Affair involved.

“Although we didn’t do the project quoted by Steve, his follow up was excellent and accommodating, supply service and pricing very competitive,
