“I had a great experience learning to drive with my instructor, Alan Bayes. He was consistently professional, always well-prepared, and structured each lesson in a clear and effective way that helped build my confidence. His dedication really stood out—he was patient, supportive, and always adapted lessons to focus on areas I needed to improve. He explained things simply and never made me feel rushed or pressured. Above all, his kindness made learning much less stressful. He created a calm, encouraging environment that helped me progress quickly. I passed my driving test at the very first attempt, thanks to his hard work. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and supportive driving instructor.”

“Unprofessional Instructor and Poor Complaint Handling Based on my experience, I would advise caution with Ian Blake in Reading and BSM Driving School. Despite repeated requests, Ian did not provide structured mock tests, leaving me without a clear or realistic view of my test readiness. On the day of the test, he sat in the car without discussing it with me beforehand or asking for my consent. I wasn’t even made aware that this was my choice, which added unnecessary pressure in an already stressful situation. Afterwards, there was little useful feedback, my follow-up questions were ignored, and he later withdrew as my instructor without explanation. The school’s response was also disappointing, as they did not properly address the concerns raised and instead closed the complaint by attributing responsibility to the student. Overall, a frustrating experience in both instruction and complaint handling.”

“Tahira Mahmood was fantastic for my daughter and she passed first time. Tahira always communicated to me how things were going and what to work on and built up a great relationship with my daughter pitching things exactly right for her as she was initially very anxious. Thanks so much Tahira. I would highly recommend her.”

“Learnt with Tahira Mahmod who was extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout my learning journey. They always arrived on time, explained concepts clearly, and gave constructive feedback that genuinely improved my driving. They really helped build my confidence and correct bad habits. “I learnt to drive with Tahira Mahmood, she was excellent. Always reliable, on time for every lesson, super communicative when trying to arrange test etc. Each lesson felt structured with clear progress. Tahira teaches to a really high standard which meant not just that I felt confident taking my test & passed first time but more importantly I feel confident now driving independently. I’m really pleased I learnt with Tahira!”

“Instructor changed the lesson without advising and then it’s impossible to get a refund. BSM take no ownership and there isn’t an escalation process”

“Please look at the reviews below as well. They will just do whatever they like and cancel last minute. If you have infinite time and dont mind cancellation on the day of the lesson with no prior warning, go ahead, but they won't compensate you so just find a local place.”

“Mario Trapasso was an excellent driving instructor always calm, patient, and ready to explain things clearly whenever I didn’t understand. His supportive and professional approach really helped build my confidence behind the wheel. Thanks to him, I passed on my first attempt! If you’re looking for automatic driving lessons, I’d strongly recommend Mario. He’s one of the best out there”

“Driving instructor arrived 20-30 minutes late to all lessons, then on the final booked lesson decided to call the day prior. Called to tell me 7:30am tomorrow! Knowing I’d booked 2 weeks before this for 9am. The lesson never happened as I could not do a lesson at 7:30am therefore lost £90 and have not heard back from BSM since requesting a refund over a week ago now. AVOID. - Uxbridge Area”

“Warning to all, Do your research before you book a lesson with Brian Foote a BSM instructor in Swindon, was picking me up 10 minutes late & dropping me of 20 minutes early, I asked him why and he stated that he’s not teaching me anymore & terminated all my lesson, called up BSM spoke to Nigel & they just protect the drivers, not only this, Brian Foote also has a bottle of Bacardi In his car so I guess he is a heavy drinker, Brian Foote is A BAD INSTRUCTOR do not use this company or instructor, spread the word & make sure no one else has this bad experience. Waste of DNA this Brian Foote.”

“I got relief after been duped of about 555,000$ by money laundering fraudsters, kept me in traumatized but as God never fails.
