“A far too long, too involved and too disappointing a saga to go into here. BUT what I will say is that if 1 out of 5 customers is deeply dissatisfied (which according to the percentage of 1 stars they are) and only 20% of reviewers do actually recommend them

“Quotation - online chat checked and confirmed no addition costs to my island location
Order - acknowledged and then asked for extra £50 delivery (we all make mistakes occassionaly)
Scheduled - no reciept for extra £50 and, after many requests could not get a delivery estimate but was advised the courier would contact me for delivery arrangements
Progress - online chat not interested, phones not answered, emails got no information about my order progress
Delivery - after about a month recieved a phone call, while out, to say 18 ton lorry outside my house with pallet. Told them to leave on grass verge while I cycle home. Had to move it all myself, not bad considering I'm in my 70th year!
Appaling communications. Very quick to take money. Product has production faults which I can fix
The one star is because the arbour did actually arrive eventually

“I have read several bad reviews about your company and I only wish I'd read them before I ordered from you. I ordered and paid for two cushions last year. They never arrived and the company was extremely unhelpful. Will never purchase from them again and will advise all friends and associates against getting involved with this company in any way.”
“Don't buy from this company the staff are rude unhelpful. The delivery driver on his own was told by a what I can only describe as very rude and threatening that if I don't take the delivery that the poor driver couldn't manage to carry by himself I would be charged over £80 for it to go back she was rude to the driver over the phone who will be making his own complaint. The girls name is Tony zero manners customer service awful. I had to chase my order from the moment I paid without receiving a confirmation order after paying the company seems to be a complete shambles. I wish I had read other people's reviews as looks like this is the norm for this company”
“I have lived in the area my entire 50yrs of life.I am disabled & do not drive.Today,being unusally warm I decided to walk up to Buttercup Farms Store,which I have done hundreds of times.I own an 8lb Shorkie,which I have a Slowton carrier for him.I walk there with him on a lease then put him in the carrier,it's like a large sling pocketbook.I shopped & many people in the store,more then 4 pet my pup,spoke to me & then an older gentleman from behind the deli counter told me I can't have the pup in the store with me.I said,"I have been shopping here my entire life,my family knows the owners as we lived up on Hawkins Rd where I grew up."I said I would immediately get on line to pay for my items which I would be using my SNAP benefits(food stamps).I went back around to see if the other line was shorter & a young man,told me I was in violation & had to leave the store immediately with my pup.I told him the other gentleman,said I could pay for my items.He told me NO,YOU CANT! I asked,to speak to the manager,which he then claimed, he is the store manager.He told me in a loud stern voice,"Go put him in your car"! Nasty, loud, mean! I started to get emotional,I told him I'm disabled, can't drive so & walk here.I'm only buying a few items as I have to carry them & walk back home.I can't buy many items only necessary or light ones!! I attempted to go back to the other line to pay when he just grabbed my bag out of my hands! I said,Excuse me that's my bag"!He said,"I will EMPTY it"! He did gave it back to me & I left really embarrassed,harassed, upset,felt discriminated against. This person who claims to manage Buttercup Farms, I failed to get his name due to me being upset,he is not very tall, blue eyes with a beard. He maybe was 25 yrs old I'm guessing. My pup, Anakin is my emotional support dog & I take him everywhere even to the doctor. Not once ever in 3 yrs has anyone, anywhere told me to leave immediately, this includes pharmacies, doctor offices, honestly, every & any store you could think of! In the Slowton carrier only him face & head are exposed.He is not walking around,he is completely confined. I feel, I was treated extremely unfairly, unnecessary to treat me this way! I should have been allowed to at least pay for my items. I have shopped there all summer with my pup & this never happened before. I am still shaking & upset that I was treated in this way! I will never shop there again, neither will my family, friend's & the disabled community I am heavily involved in!”
“No problems with ordering and delivery of garden arch. Even received courtesy email prior to estimated delivery date which was helpful. Good to be kept informed. Delivery made as advised. Was a bit concerned when I looked at reviews but can only say positive things about my customer experience with buttercup farm.”
“DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Arbour delivered, but the workmanship is extremely poor, screws sticking out, wood cut short, no screws, wood split, the list goes on. I called and was told to email. I emailed 3 times before someone got back to me. I was told that a new one would be delivered and erected on Monday, guess what, yep, failed to arrive. Again my emails are being ignored. Absolutely disgusting treatment.”
“Dont buy a thing from these charlatans. Still waiting on a £76 order placed 9th June - now almost 7 weeks. Managed to get through twice on a Sales phone line (no one in customer services deems it necessary to pick up a call) and they promised to phone back.... not a call. No info over email. Absolutely shocking.”
