One downside to Buyee is that there is not enough promotions going around. For example, FromJapan regularly has a 500 yen discount promotion to entice customers to return to using their service. I wish Buyee has something like this.”
“Okay, so I have a Toyota Corolla (Allex), and I’m trying to install some fog lights so I decided to install it with the switch but the switch was so hard to find, so I opted to research some more for it and that’s where I found the Yahoo Japan Auctions and saw the switch that I really needed, it was in a very good used state, Toyota oem 84160-95D00!
So after I saw it I saw Buyee advertising, and decided to do some research about them and signed up, I then bid on this item and afterwards winning the bid, they immediately contacted me with the necessary information as to what to do next. They really do make it easier as I live in the Caribbean islands so it would be difficult for me to receive the item, it took maybe 1-2 days for the item to reach the warehouse and it reached there quite quickly, they notified me and I must say the customer service is very good (although they could have more live agents so our issues could be heard right away), but they listen and they are very understanding when it comes to their customers and I appreciate that.
oh! and in terms of fees, the fees are well worth it in my opinion if you are wondering, and I think that if you really want a reliable company that you can trust to get you your stuff promptly and with active communication, you won’t do no wrong with Buyee.”
“If you want to buy some items from Japan, Buyee is the easy way to do it. You can purchase items from Amazon.co.jp and other exclusive Japan shops or bid in Yahoo Auctions.
They offer storage, package consolidation and reasonable fees. You can pay by Paypal or Credit Card among others.”
“I use them to order arcade equipment from Japan that is hard to find elsewhere. The whole process is very easy. When I asked them a service question they were quick to respond.
Their fees are very reasonable, but you are better off ordering large expensive items rather than lots of small cheap ones. Postage can be quite high but they do allow you to combine items so it is worth being mindful.”

“when consolidation becomes 2 packages and if you decide to ship 1 of them later, bear in mind that a consolidation box had been packed for that item. And warehouse staff may not aware of it and then pack it in next consolidation. As a result your item becomes bigger and heavier”

Seller did not fulfill shipment promise and did not ship. Buyee just continued to ask me to wait for seller's response and when he /she can ship. I waited for about 2 months and still waiting. Asked for refund but Buyee just refused. They basically protect sellers. Poor customer service, They either do not response on time or chose not to reply. When a reply came it does not answer your query then you have to ask and wait again.”
“Made some purchases from Mercari and Yahoo using Buyee. The website is easy to use. However their customer service is lousy sometimes as they are not able to accede to customer's requests. They should be more flexible. If only they are able to request seller to combine items when purchasing from Mercari, i don't have to pay for service fee and payment fee for each item. Their service fee and payment fee are very expensive. Buyee should lower the fees.”

“I've come to rely upon Buyee when trying to purchase hard-to-find items from anime series that are not current. Being able to buy from a wide range of websites, and be able to add them with the "Add to Cart" function from the Buyee Chrome extension makes things super convenient.
I think that at times it can be hard to understand which fees will end up actually apply - they obviously give you many warnings about possible fees (domestic shipping, purchase fees, etc.), but I sometimes feel I won't really know how much something is going to cost me until I actually have already purchased it. The fees can be a tad steep - they really add up - but honestly for the service you are getting they make sense.

“Buyee has become a prime place for me to purchase those hard-to-find items direct from Japan. It can be really hard to find things from a favorite anime series unless its the current season, but being able to shop at various sites, including Yahoo Auctions, Mercari, Melonbooks, etc. makes that task much easier - especially when I use the app extension that lets me add to my cart directly from the store website.
That having been said, I think the purchasing fees are a tad steep, but honestly they are probably fair for the work being put in to purchase things. I was buying a number of small items that ended up being split across multiple places, so those fees could really add up. Also, I appreciate being able to select either "purchase all" or "cancel order" if any of the items were not available, but there is no in-between option. What happened with me is 3 of 6 items ended up being in stock (despite what the store listed), so I basically had to go ahead and pay to get the few items that were available. It's not always clear what the fees are going to be once everything is said and done.”
