“Placing your order is pretty easy. But that's the only thing that is. Getting the actual item or a customer support agent to help you is another story. Ordering a Deathscythe gunpla kit from Buyee Mercari. It was a terrible experience.
I was given a promotional coupon for $50 in international shipping. Great deal right? At least it should have been. The seller hasn't sent the item to Buyee. I tried contacting Buyee to find out what's going one and was told the seller isn't responding. The coupon expires on the 15th and I have nothing to use it on. I tried asking for an extension and the person I talked to said they would email another dapartment and get back to me in my email that day. They never did. Next day tried to get more info. Spent 3 hours in the only chat before getting someone and they ended the chat before I could asked my question. Tried again and after 7 hours I couldn't get anyone.
Currently my money is sitting in limbo and Buyee isn't doing a thing to help.”

My only complaint is when you go to consolidate a package they charge 1,000 yen for it and that does not include packing it beyond its original packaging (you have to pay even more for that). I wish it would only cost money to repackage it, not to combine and ship the items as is because it just shows up in this thin bag packaging. Other services i've used haven't charged to consolidate and they actually pack it into an actual box over a thin material sleeve to send it on. That's the only downside I can think of though!”

“I'd say that overall, Buyee is a good Japanese proxy service, but I believe that there are a lot of cons when it comes to using it.
There have been odd instances where I was denied to bundle items through Mercari Japan because I wanted to save money on fees and shipping.
That is another thing too, I'm not a fan of their fees because overall it'll add another 1,000 yen to your order in total, though it depends on which plan you pick.
Also, their "consolidate package" and "protective packaging" options require around 1,000 each for some reason. Which feels way too pricey.
I've worked with other proxy services and they never charge for those kinds of things, which really should be a given. Considering the fees you have to pay for each item you purchase.
But by far, Buyee has a great customer service, which I can rely on most of the time.
It'll be hard to say whether I'd use them again, but we'll see.”
