“shipping and service fee is quite cheap compared to other online shops which ships from japan . as most of the websites which i want to shop at doesn't ship to my country , i always go to buyee as it is very convenient and easy . could find many rare japanese idol merchandises which made me satisfied”
“Way to expensive, compared to other sites. I only use buyee to browse, but I use ZenMarket, definitely friendlier and cheaper :)
The buyee fee is too high, same goes for the package consolidation which is free in other sites, poor options of shipping and expensive compared to other sites, bad chat support and email response.
Lost one package and never ever they refund me, and it was more than 10000-20000 yen”
“Got to buy something I've been wanting for decades at an affordable price! Shipping fee can get pricey but the coupons for discounts are a great treat. Some of the BEST customer service ever. Great service to use!”
“Buyee is all round a pretty good forwarder from Japan - they buy items quickly (especially through Mercari) and the fact that a deposit is not initially required to bid is a huge bonus.
If you ship anything fragile I would recommend using the optional fragile packaging service as stuff will be generally otherwise be sent in the packaging they received it in originally. Overall a solid option to get Japanese auction items in from overseas!”
“quick response time with customer service, respectable prices and fees. My package was sent quickly after requesting consolidation and shipping and refunds when applicable were also sent promptly!”
“Buyee, the best sourcing platform for items from Japan
I used Buyee for the longest time to get items in Japan. For most time, I am very satisfied with the service. Most of the times, I would buy high value items and with this, all the other costs seems very reasonable especially with the care they take in repacking and sending. In less expensive items, then the service do seem a bit high. The only thing I feel that Buyee could improve or help or do more are when I buy big works of art that are framed. It would have been nice if they can remove the work from the frame and sent them rolled in a tube rather than send the whole thing as is , as the costs were prohibitive. Having said that, I do understand that it is a big ask.”
“FIX YOUR PACKAGE CONSOLIDATION!!
I am REALLY losing faith in Buyee because THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CONSOLIDATE A PACKAGE. When you ask for package consolidation they take your 2 (or 3 or 4) items in the shipping boxes that they arrived in to the warehouse, don't bother to open them and just PUT THEM INSIDE A HUGE BOX!! It's just insanely lazy! The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke but it KEEPS HAPPENING!! I t is just maddening, especially right now that DHL is really the only option, and if you cross 4kg or a certain outer box dimension with DHL the cost skyrockets (which it will certainly do if it is boxes in bigger boxes)
I Had two items that shipped separately for 5000 yen each, but after consolidation the price shot up to 20,000 yen making the service "Pay 500 yen to DOUBLE your shipping cost" what a deal... I paid 300yen to request a photo to see what the heck was going on, and that is when I first discovered the idiotic way they were consolidating packages [See first pic] Yes, that is a box in a box stacked on top of another box (not pictured) The CRAZIER thing is they opened both shipping boxes to confirm items, then put them BACK in shipping boxes, like WTF After only a 3 more days of emails with customer support, they fixed this one, but others have taken 5 emails and a week to resolve. Just today they failed to fix another package the first time, taking away the external shipping boxes but leaving everything in a HUGE box that still costs 198,000 yen fortune to ship (and I know what it should cost, because I have already shipped this EXACT combination of items before, through Buyee and DHL for 69,000 yen)
If you are really persistent eventually they WILL fix the packages if you beg them enough and get lucky with a customer service agent who isn't a fool. The first mentioned above packages ultimately shipped in one reasonably sized box for 6800 yen, which cost me 500 yen and DAYS of stress to save $25 It arrived looking reasonably packaged but in still an overly large box [See second pic]
The fact that Buyee clearly CAN fix it after they do it badly in the first place, and that they KNOW HOW to pack packages correctly to save people on shipping just deepens the mystery though (and has kept me hanging on like an abused spouse believing they can change) Offering the "consolidation" service as it is makes no sense as it only makes shipping MORE expensive. Any customer with a brain can then add up the previous shipping weight and see that the new weight is MORE and figure out what Buyee did. Then they just have to go BACK and re-do the work all over again. It is just so much wasted effort for both the customer AND for Buyee.
So Buyee, I am talking to YOU. Please either change the standard way you consolidate packages to actually SAVE PEOPLE MONEY or at the very least MAKE IT AN OPTION TO DISCARD SHIPPING BOXES right when package consolidation is selected. And please do a better job of putting things in smaller boxes! Especially now with DHL as the only shipping option you can't drop the ball like this!”
“Buyee gives you several shipping options (depending on weight). They will only show you auctions where the seller is willing to ship internationally. The only thing I think could add combined shipping. I need to send individually, but sometimes I want to combine shipping. Some auctions are prohibited from sale as of the title, possibly indicating a junk item. Buyee is heaven for Hobbies, who prefers Japanese stuff.”
“Bad business, bought and paid for an item with no warnings or issues only to later find out that they are unable to ship said item internationally (USA) to me and my only options are to ship my item domestically (Japan) or dispose of my item with no refund!?!?!”

“I was introduced to Buyee from a friend, we both collect vintage toys from Japan and Buyee helps us greatly by giving us access to Yahoo Japan Auctions etc.
It’s a great way to get ahold of old Japanese collectibles since the sellers are from the country, and for good prices, I’ve never seen the items cheaper than they are here.
I really enjoy the warehouse, as auctions take days to finish and ship, it’s nice to have a place where I can consolidate all my winnings and ship together, saving shipment costs.
While I have yet to ship anything directly to my house yet (I’m still waiting for 1 order to arrive at the warehouse) My friend has mentioned the shipping is reasonable and timely.
Customer support is fast and reliable, responding quickly during its operating hours and in great detail.”
“One of the best place to get items from Japan. I’ve been using Buyee for 2 years already and so far haven’t yet disappointed. Of course there are few stuffs that can be improved such as the page navigation (especially the mobile version) but I do have to say that some of the price that Buyee are charging are quite high especially on the direct delivery and the consolidation package, those are ones that will be the first and last time for me. Overall Buyee offers great services for my needs.”
