Had a lovely break to Llandudno in New Loretta nice hotel food and staff. Room was good plenty of storage and space. Would go back to this hotel. Trips were great to Portmerion and railway to Mt Snowden. Driver Paul was great also Colin on trip to Snowdonia. Both drivers gave lots of information. Only negative communal areas in hotel were cold.

I sincerely appreciate Mrs. Zamora Lisette for her dependable support. She resolved my withdrawal issue promptly and ensured the entire process was smooth and stress-free.

I had tickets for the darts in Liverpool and unfortunately I cannot attend due to a family bereavement, I would like to that the lady I spoke to at Caledonian travel who was very helpful and understanding, a couple of our friends have taken over our tickets and the change over of names was very simple.Thankyou again to Caledonian and there staff.

Just come back from a 4 day twixmas break at Caledonian Claymore Hotel. Got a twin room on the ground floor ,due to mobility issues, as no lift in hotel. Room (207) was small for a twin, but was adequate. Bathroom was minute & although it had a walk in shower, it was so small it was inaccessible due to the sink being across the door of the shower cubicle. Beds were clean & comfortable, clean towels & room was lovely & warm. Carpet hadn't seen a hoover. Good choice of meals each evening, only let down was the meals were lukewarm at best. 4 free drinks each day & reasonable entertainment & bingo. Staff were faultless on reception, bar & in dining area. Just needs a few tweaks & this hotel would be pretty much perfect especially for the price. Would consider going again, if the minor issues were put right. Location of the hotel has fantastic views. Our driver Mark was lovely.

My friends and I have just returned from a weekend in Scarborough staying at The new Southlands hotel. We had a wonderful time dispite gale force winds and torrential rain . The hotel was about 15mins. walk into town . The food and staff were wonderful. Great breakfast always hot and plenty of it. Evening meal was the great. Had a choice of 4 starters, 4 main, and 4 desserts. My only complain was the bedroom and bathroom were really cold no heating. After been out in bad weather and returning to your room hoping for warm there was none. Staff were great especially in restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful weekend we will be returning.

Just returned from a Fri-Sun Tribute weekend in Llandudno stayed at The Grand Hotel. Firstly someone was sat in our allocated coach seats, and despite asking them if they were in the rights seats, they refused to acknowledge this, and I had to get the driver to move them. Then they had the cheek to complain to other passengers about us which put a dampner on the start of our weekend. Hotel is dated and could do with some TLC but was as I expected. We had a nice twin room with a sea view, comfy bed, nice hot running water with a bath and overhead shower. Entertainment was good both evenings with Freddie Mercury Fri and Bryan Adams Sat followed by karaoke and dancing. 2 for 1 drinks 6-9pm which bar staff followed to military precision, anyone unfortunate to be stuck in the queue past 9pm was not getting the offer! All cheap house brands and flat mixers, Tetleys, an Italian lager (I forget it's name) and a cider on draught. Food - we were in a separate dining room which was serving basic cheap food, not like the advertisements around the hotel showing a lovely carvery meal! Fri - fish goujons (grey fish not particularly pleasant), carrots, chips and mushy peas or meatballs and spaghetti, plus a veggie option. Sat - pork loin steaks in mint sauce??? Tough and chewy or Thai fishcakes (Hubby said OK, I didn't try) veggie option stirfried vegetables. There is a soup and bread roll section (not bad) tomato Fri, mushroom Sat. Basic but fresh salad bar. Breakfast- negatives - cheap sausages, rubbery eggs. Positives mushrooms in water, fried bread, fried potato tots, tinned beans, tomatoes, variety of cooked back bacon, soft and hard. Food served hot but quality lacking IMO. Excursion to Bets-wy-coed lovely pretty place to visit followed by a scenic drive. Would I book with Caledonian again? Yes definitely really had a good time despite disappointing food!

Just on our way back from a mystery trip with Caledonian. We did Bakewell and Matlock the first day. Stayed over at the Hilton in stoke on Trent overnight. Lovely, clean hotel with amazing choice for breakfast. The evening meal was the only disappointing part. We was shipped out to a separate room on the 1st floor. We ran out of veg and chips. No condiments available. We was just made to feel like secondhand citizens. Anyway, the next day we went to Chester. It was really lovely and our driver Ken has been amazing. He’s looked after us all from start to finish. We will definitely travel with Caledonian again.

Traveled solo to torquay and had to pay a room supplement as at the time of booking no single rooms were available. Paid £35 . On arrival at the hotel, which Caledonian own I was given a single room. On returning I called Caledonian Glasgow and had a terrible customer service agent who was rude and abrupt. She informed me that she would be doing nothing until I got my booking reference. When I called back the new agent had a far better attitude. Transferred to complaints ,who informed me that the supplement was to subsidise double and twin rooms. As I booked over the phone this was never explained. This in my opinion is a complicated way to add hidden charges.

Having just been on a Caledonian trip to Arrochar staying in the claymore hotel, the only negative point concerned the evening meals very poor quality yet the breakfasts were brilliant great trip especially the gondola 🚠 at Ben Nevis but the main reason for this review is the excellent service that I received upon leaving my wallet on the coach at the Gretna green change over only noticed at Leeds my destination reported it to the driver who immediately contacted Richard our previous coach driver who called back in minutes to say he had found it and I was reunited with it the next day all intact brilliant service by all and may thanks for your honesty 👍five stars 🌟

I sent an email to customer services on 1st August 2025 and I still haven’t received a reply (18th September). Their customer service is very poor. I’m sure it’s ok while every is going ok but once you have a problem you are told to email customer services and then they just totally ignore you. I have sent 2 further emails and called several times and still no conclusion to my query. Not a good way to run a business.

Recently got back from staying at the claymore hotel at arrochar. The hotel is a bit dated but rooms were clean and comfortable bed. The food was fab and staff were lovely. Our coach driver Richard was brilliant very informative with information on all the trips. Especially liked the Scottish pipe music while driving through glencoe. If you want to do a trip to see plenty of scenery this is a great trip to do. Will definitely be doing this one again.

Recent trip to Isle of Wight,(5th September 2025, what a fantastic trip, our driver was Craig, he was lovely, he went over and above to ensure everyone was enjoying the trip, even when one of the passengers was in a bit of a dilemma, Craig sorted it straight away, met some lovely people, hotel is a bit dated, but the atmosphere was great, staff were lovely too.
