“Lens delivered very quickly in time for next day shoot”

“I went to Calumet because I couldn't find what I needed whilst in a major photographic store in the centre of Birmingham. Whilst I was in the store an unknown stranger spoke to me, (you may not believe this, but I know it's true), he said "you're in the wrong shop". He said "you need to go to Calumet". He then advised me of its location and gave me directions. The only words I spoke were "Ok", He said "see yah" and left the store. I thought the incident odd but decided to take his advice. I wasn't disappointed. I was soon in the Calumet store on the Hagley Road and received a friendly welcome. I was allowed to browse the store uninterrupted until I needed assistance. A very friendly lady asked me if I needed any help and I replied that "yes" I was ready to ask. No sooner had I described what I was looking for (a Manfrotto goose neck) than it was in my hand. Brilliant, no miss-understanding, no vagueness, straight on the job and in my hand. Most sales assistants in my experience know less than me when I ask them for advice, but not here . This was corroborated when I asked about Micro Secure Digital cards and their adapters, The lady knew her stuff. At the sales counter I was just about done and their phone rang, it was right next to us, so since I had all but finished I said "you can get that if you like", thinking I didn't want them to lose a sale since they had been so helpful and courteous. "No", she said, "I wouldn't do that to you", amazing, my experience of sales staff is less than customer friendly, but again not here! So I got what I was looking for, I got a very friendly welcome, and I didn't feel pressurised to buy anything. Oh! and the price of the gooseneck was very competitive too. Thank you to all in the store, for me, that was a win- win - win day.”

“The finest things about Calumet are their friendliness and professionalism. They have both in abundance. I rarely write a glowing review, but when it is earned, the words flow easily. Both in person and over the phone, I am always greeted promptly and courteously. My 'go to' shop when I am buying.”

“Over the years I have purchased a range of items from Calumet, cameras, printers, monitors, lenses, etc. The reason one returns to a supplier is the consistency of their service and after-care. I addition, the personal service one receives is a measure that the company cares. What is crucial is how a company responds when there is a problem. It is here that Calumet scores highly as I recently experienced when an expensive printer failed immediately upon delivery. With a deadline pending, Calumet efficiently arranged a replacement and remained in close touch to ensure that all was well. Such service gives great confidence and confirms the firm's desire to ensure customer satisfaction and trust.”

“I use Calumet ( Manchester store )frequently to replace or upgrade my equipment.In my experience i have always found the staff helpful and very knowledgable.the advice and guidance i have had from Calumet has helped me to achieve outstanding results from my passion for photography. The open days and seminars are fantastic and even as a beginner/amateur,i have found them interesting,informative and i have taken away that little more information to help me when out and about with my kit. A first class service from first class staff at a first class store !”
