Worse customer service ever! Items send to Germany instead of France. Items never received. To be avoided

i did a big order of a 5D Mk 4, 24-105 f4 MK 2 Lens, Flash Gun & battery grip. It dragged on for ages to finally receive the stuff. I was checking the site daily to see if in stock & some items were showing in stock at other stores, so i would ring them to say why can't they send them to me. They would reply still out of stock so i would say your site says its in stock at such and such store, they would then say oh yes, well send that out to you. This went on for months, Eventually i would start getting bits of the order. Some of the items i believe were not bred new, ex display as instructions were out of the wrappers, Plastic cap that fitted over the battery grip terminal missing etc. Speak to them and no help with the answers. As per a lot of customer services, they never return phonecalls so just gave up on the debate about not new itms being sent out when they should have been new & sealed still. Although a great range of stock, half the time its never in stock or its sold to you as in stock, then an email comes after payment etc saying we will tell you when its in stock & dispatch. I now stick to my local Jessops store, some of the staff have immense knowledge just about anything I've asked about, far more than any calumet staff member has been able to answer. Jessops have the stuff you want & if not in stock, they get it rapidly & keep you updated. They also runs good discount deals on a regular basis so you can guess where i go to now, calumet, potentially your a great company who could be unbeatable in this market, but your attention to detail, stock & customer service let you down massively.

The item was delivered to the wrong shop. Despite asking for delivery at Drummond St, email confirming delivery address and your representative calling to advise itam was available for collection at Drummond st... guess what... the item was delivered to your other shop in London... thin chances for you to get it wrong but you did... still can't believe it happened!!!

On the 2 occasions I have hired kit from Calumet, on both occasions my deposit wasn't returned. After waiting over a week I eventually chased it up. Both occasions I was on hold for over an hour and eventually gave up and drove to the Milton Keynes branch to speak in person to the staff. They on both occasions put me through directly to the rental team. Again on both occasions I got the same response. Shockingly the kit had been returned but on neither occasion had the deposit return been actioned. The response was we're sorry but we are so under staffed your deposit return has been forgotten or overlooked. Basically if I hadn't chased it up it was forgotten about! On one of these occasions the deposit was over £1000. I'm sure you can understand to the average joe like me £1000 is a hell of a lot of money and there's only so long I can manage without it as the month drawers to an end. I will never ever ever rent with Calumet again unless it can't be avoided as by your staffs own admission they simply cannot cope with the very basics due to staff shortages. You're killing your business and I would imagine as I hear it's being bought out of merging the damage is already done. I haven't completely given up on Calumet rental. The range of kit for rent is great as are the weekend rental costs however it will no longer be my first choice and I will be shopping around and choosing to pay extra if needs be due to previous bad experiences. I waited 4 months for my item to be delivered after being told that it would be sent on a next day delivery on the day of purchase. Terrible customer service and no updates whatsoever.

You failed completely in your customer care department!! I contacted your customer care on Friday 30th June at approximately 0900 with a question regarding the tripod fitting supplied with the "Peak camera strap" I have never received even the courtesy of a reply. I would have returned the item but that would have been wasting my time. I have now sorted the issue by going direct to "Peak"

I gave my camera to repair in February 2017. Calumet has estimated the service from 10 to 14 days. I agreed with that. Two days late I got the first e-mail from Calumet asking me again if I agree with the repair cost. I replied to them immediately. 4 weeks later I got another e-mail with an estimate (the same) cost. In April I got a phone call from Calumet asking me the same question. When I told them about delays in their service the gentleman in the phone told me that they missed my e-mail. As a result I got my camera in June. Even though everyone behind the counter is extremely polite, behind the door nobody really cares about delivering you a service you paid for, and that makes me not wanting to come back to that place.

My lens was getting replaced. I had to constantly make phone calls to see what was happening. I was told repeatedly by reza and one other that they would call back and never did. Eventually I got a hire one to use but was totally different size and different thread so none of my filters fitted. One main issue was that this lens broke for the second time whilst I was on a workshop in the Faroe Islands. This cost a lot of money and I was left with no way of taking photos. I have no faith in calumet and no faith in Fuji products. Happy to speak and discuss and I will be putting in a full complaint to the chairman of calumet and to Fuji uk. Alex

Two months to deliver the item ordered at The Photography Show (Broncolor Siros flash head). Abysmal communication on the issue. Fobbed off with excuses, most of the promised return calls and updates never happened. With the 24 months credit deal, I'd paid the deposit and two payments before I was able to actually use the purchase.

I received really awful customer service in your Soho branch, to the point if I wasn't desperate for the film I would have walked away.

This was the second time that I came into the store to buy a grey card, I asked at the first desk and was told to ask at a second area and he pointed to a member of staff he said he was busy a third person came and showed me that there was one, I said I would have it, I also wanted a elinchrom soft box but as there was not one on display I was not happy to buy.( very disappointed that you do not display them) I gave my details and the sales person disappeared for what seemed a long time he came back ignoring me ,I asked if there was a problem and was told it had been sold at 2am that night. I complained and he sold it to me, but this took further time on the computer to allow me to buy it. I would expect there to be plenty of stock of an item like a grey card and to have soft boxes on display.. this was a very bad experience. The shop was not busy and I found all the staff unhelpful.

I am very disappointed as the item I ordered Canon C100 Mk2 plus an Atomos Ninja 2 was advertised as available, After processing my finance I was then informed that the ninja was no longer in stock, only to be told days later that it has been discontinued. The Atomos Ninja was the main reason why I chose to get the C100 Mk 2 to start with. I have also emailed costumer support but i'm still waiting for a response. This set back is very frustrating as I have cancelled shoots for it. I am not happy at all. I wish to return the purchase.

FedEx dropped my expensive printer onto the ground, onto it's end, right in front of me, "Oh, it was heavy" (the other guy was carrying a light weight package). The packaging wasn't damaged at all, but still, I mean it was covered in FRAGILE parcel tape. I rang Calumet straight away because I was damn furious, my complaint was going to be passed on to a manager and they were going to call me back. Haven't heard a word! Utter rubbish customer services.

Hi I ordered a Nikon x1.4 tele converter over a month ago. A payment has been taken from my account but there is no sign of the item I have ordered. As a professional photographer I have used Calumet for most of my professional cameras and lenses totalling thousands of pounds. I have always been very happy with the standard of service but on this occasion they seem to have dropped the ball. I have phoned a my local Calumet store a where the item was to be delivered a couple of times, the first call a sales men was very helpful and assured me he would call back nothing happened for two days then I called again, I was put on hold for what seemed like days and then just told the item was not in stock. OK, I know products from Nikon can take a while to arrive but an update from time to time would not go a miss. When I ordered the item a number of other suppliers had it in stock but I seem to have made the error of sticking to my normally trusted supplier. Best regards, Brian Anderson

After verbally confirming twice with your colleagues the delivery address, the correct persons name and correct business name was dropped from the dispatch details, and an incorrect business name was inserted with no adressee name and dispatched to it A delivery that was advertised as next day due to it's value became 5 days later and opened by someone else
