I ordered an item from you, paying for expedited delivery, and when the order was received there was only a fastener in the box, no wrist strap as I had ordered. There was no mention of this on any paperwork that I had from you. The order was consequently cancelled and refunded only for the item in question to appear on your website at a much higher price than I had paid originally so I had to re order, pay for delivery again and pay a higher price for the same item

I feel like this should be broken into two parts the first part was in store. I went into and spoke to someone called Joseph for a while about trading in my canon 6d and lenses for the Fuji xt2. I decided to do it and after speaking via email you were able to match my WEX trade in offer I had to so I went into store to trade it in. The body had to be ordered into store before hand and the grip had to be ordered for a later date and the lenses you had. In store the trade in took a long time because of it being ordered in and getting the paperwork correct some kind of return onto card etc so I can do the £200 Fuji cash back (which I haven't done yet and will see if the paperwork is ok for Fuji) this was fine as the manager and guy serving me were apologetic and I didn't mind the wait. I left store with the body and lens but waiting for the Fuji battery grip to be delivered. At this point I was happy with the service. I called back a few days later as I noticed you had the grip in stock but I still didn't have word that mine was on its way. I spoke to someone on the call centre and after giving my details said I hadn't paid for the grip this is why it had not been sent (not very politely) I said again I had paid for it as I had traded my equipment in and paid the difference. After a while of basically being called a lier I was told he would put my to his manager as there was nothing else he could do. He then said he would look into it and personally call me back. Later that day someone else called me back to tell me they had sorted it out and I had paid for it and they would most likely send it to me that day but he would send an email once it was sent. A few days later I got a notification from Fedex saying a parcel was on its way. A few days after that I received the grip. All in all it wasn't the best experience. If everything had been done in store I would have left happy it was the after service with the online part that was very disjointed and left me not want to use your company again especially online. Like I said the people that served me were very good in store and after leaving that day I even talked a friend into trading some equipment in there but now I wouldn't.

Having purchased a UV filter lens for a newly-acquired second-hand Nikon zoom from Calumet, I ordered a lens hood for the same lens. The wrong one arrived: these things happen. I then explained that I needed the correct one quickly, to meet a travel deadline. I was assured that Calumet would phone Nikon to see if one was in stock, and would phone me to let me know if the deadline could be met. On my phoning Calumet (not having heard anything) I was told that Nikon had the item in stock, that the deadline could be met, and that I would be notified. On my making contact again (having again heard nothing) I was told it was very unlikely that the (now very close) deadline could be met, because "Nikon were often slow with such matters". An E-Bay supplier came up with the goods overnight and at a quarter of the price. I'm aware that a lens hood is small beer compared with the expensive equipment available from Calumet: that does not excuse the poor customer service.

I still haven't received half my order so I am unable to work with the kit yet!

Camera-D810 not in stock at the time. A wait of one week. Not enough batteries in stock. No variable neutral density filters in stock. Not one penny discount for a repeat customer spending over £3000.00 pounds.

Not very accurate photographs of the backdrop I ordered. The item was completely different to the one shown on your site. When also trying to sort out my refund, your staff were not clear on the procedure and I had to wait on the phone on two occasions whilst he sought help on the next steps. I thought this was rather unprofessional for something which should be a common or at least standard procedure.

Attended the Manchester store. As a customer I was made to feel like an inconvenience - the service was minimal, cold and rushed.

I ordered a Canon battery as a back up for a shoot I had coming up. The website showed the battery was available. Two days after making my order I am notified that it is on back order. I tried to arrange to rent one for the day I needed it but the member of the web team I was emailing wasn't helpful at all and I ended up renting one from another company instead. SIX weeks after placing my order I get an email telling me my order is ready to collect. When I went to collect the battery in-store the assistant appeared to have no clue when it came to locating it and after a while handed me a battery with no invoice or reference to my order attached to it. It wasn't until I got home that I realised it was not the battery I ordered. Really disappointed in Calumet on this occasion.

Calumet initially refused to deliver to our offices "because out order was too large" . Following the order being placed were were contacted by email asking for additional information to verify the puchase given its value - that's fine as our business occasionally acts in a similar way. Then despite being given this information promptly Calumet then flip flopped between agreeing to ship and demanding we attended one of their stores. They did not return email quickly or return calls within agreed timelines. Eventually they delivered a day late. The kit itself is good and the site easy to use. I would recommend them as a company but for big purchases you're better off visiting the store.

The colorama we were supplied had creases all through it down the middle which has meant lots of retouching we shouldn't have needed to do. (You can see it down the left side of the attached photos) Imagine that on most of the shots, it was disappointing.

There was no indication when I placed the order that the item might take a long time to be delivered, there no communication from Calumet advising me of when the item might be delivered all communication was initiated by myself, I felt this was poor and did not represent calumet positively. I would think twice before ordering anything from calumet again.

I was looking to order 64" rolls of Brilliant Museum White paper - in Gloss and Satin Matt but found that there were no stocks at all of this product anywhere in the country on this size roll - and with an estimated 4 weeks delivery date. I don't quite understand why things are allowed to go out of stock.

Customer service in the shop is excellent. However ordering online is not to be recommended, they made a head of errors, sending me an email saying that they couldn't find the address when they hadn't even dispatched the goods. I think it's very poor, the agent I spoke with wasn't at all empathetic to the problem either

My lens repair took significantly longer than the original two-week estimate, and communication was poor throughout. I had to chase it repeatedly, and even wasn't notified when it was finally ready for collection. I'd have liked an email or SMS telling me when the estimate was ready for approval, when the repair had started, and when it was ready for collection. If the original time estimate had been accurate, though, I would have just sent it to Fixation.

I had a photoshoot on the Sunday, so I ordered some background paper and modelling lamps on the Wednesday! It states next day delivery, I got the paper but did I get the lamps? No, not till a week later... The quality of product is fantastic, but I hoping future orders will be more prompt

I bought some Film and it took about 6-7 weeks for me to receive it. I popped into the shop on several occasions to see if anything had come in but no luck. I understand this is out of the people in the stores control but I feel something has to be improved as it should only be a week at max. The film was Portra 400 35mm. Maybe you should express a concern to your suppliers as this will lead me to a different store if it ever happens again.

Purchase was fine but when it arrived item was too big for my needs. I initiated a return - filling in a surveymonkey form to process a return feels a bit weird though. There was no email acknowledgement that my returns form had been received. I emailed support who totally ignored the body of my email and just said 'I see you received your order' - that was not what I asked in my email, I had asked if my returns form has been received as I had no kind of acknowledgement, and as per the Calumet website, I wanted to arrange a collection for my return. When I eventually got the correct response regarding a return, I was told that I would have to arrange my own return delivery - bearing in mind the Calumet website states " Goods purchased via telephone or internet can be arranged for collection by calling 0333 003 5000 after the returns form has been completed". I had purchased online, and that to me reads like they would arrange for collection of the item. However customer service told my via email that is not the case, and this being a heavy item that I could not physically carry to the post office, I had to pay Parcelforce £20 to collect and deliver it back to Calumet for me. Customer service was slow and inattentive, and website is misleading - I did eventually get my refund back, but £20 out of pocket. I would not buy online from Calumet again.
