Hi First I was told my account was on 'stop' , then I said i'm sure your wrong as I used it a few months back. She then came back to me saying the account is open ?? When i asked why she told me the account was on stop she said she had no idea !! So i placed my order and the goods were delivered. I have had an account at Calumet for over 20 years and have always paid my Invoice's ...eventually. I felt the lady in question had a very 'off hand' approach and I did't feel like a valued customer .... i felt like i was trying to get something for nothing !! Not a pleasant transaction at all.

Disappointed. I had the sensor on my Canon EOS 1DX cleaned at the Manchester store and paid £57.00 for a while you wait service, as I struggle to get out of work. The clean took about 5 minutes. I can only assume that no testing is carried after the process is complete, because the sensor was still covered in dust spots plus the viewfinder / mirror was full of debris that was not there when I took the camera in!

Product sent is great for what it does, but it came with a missing part and a faulty part. I rang up straight away when I noticed missing part 5 minutes after receiving it and customer service was great - sending out missing part in first class post. The part that was faulty I didn't notice until I went to use product the next day. Customer service suggested I go into Calumet store to try and replace, which defeats object of buying online for ease in the first place. Also it makes me wary of buying other products where it appears products have been used or demonstrated with, that as a customer I am buying on the understanding of it being a new product.

I was interested in ordering an item online. I checked with one of your staff via chat and they assured me that the item was covered by a two year warranty. I placed the order online and called on Saturday to find out the status of my order. It has arrived at the store. I checked again with the staff at the store and was told that the item was only covered by a one year warranty. The two year warranty was one of the reasons I chose calumet. I cancelled my order and was told that would be refunded when the item was returned to the warehouse. This is poor service and clearly a waste of time for both parties

I've been shopping at Calumet for years and have spent thousands of pounds. I always found their service to be good and their staff quite helpful. But my most recent experience involved pre-ordering a lens which was constantly in then out-of stock. I ordered it well in advance of the date on which I was intending to use it for a shoot but after almost 2 weeks it still hadn't arrived. I phoned up and was told that Nikon had just received stock so Calumet would receive it within a few days but I was not given a date on which I could collect it. All I was told was that they would contact me with an update. They didn't. I phoned up again a couple of days later and heard the same response. In the end I had to cancel my order as my shoot was to take place 2 days later. Instead, I purchased the lens off Amazon and for only £10 even had it delivered the same day. On top of this at no stage was I offered nothing as a gesture of appreciation for my patience or regular custom. In fact, I never received a complimentary anything in all my purchases with Calumet over the years, not even a lens cloth. I used to want to support traditional bricks and mortar stores but given that I can get a better service from other suppliers it doesn't really make much sense to shop with Calumet anymore.

I received no notification of when the item was ready to pick up. I had some questions about the item in the store and staff had no knowledge of the product. Also, the product was not in the best condition. It was a silver/white shoot through umbrella and quite a bit of the silver is scuffed etc. However the product does basically function. If I hadn't brought it at the sale price however I would been very disappointed.

The reason for a poor feedback is cos I was not contacted at all from the company ,was not told when I was getting my lens ,was not told when I was to get delivery either ,if it was not for me emailing you on 2 separate occasions I would not of got my lens

I first went to view the products in store, the staff were quite uninterested in helping. After having to approach the staff myself for assistance I was given the reply "Well what do you want to know?". For a £649 carbon fibre tripod there are quite a lot of selling points. I then bought the tripod online the following day as the Drummond St store only had the display model in stock. The item arrived and everything was fine, until I damaged it just before Christmas. I decided to wait until the new year to get in touch about getting it fixed, called and left a message with a gentleman who said he would email 'Ross' to get him to call me back. I'm still awaiting the call, three days later. I also placed an order on the 14th December for an item which was out of stock, the money was taken from my account on the 15th and I'm still awaiting any news on this item, something - anything would be useful. I look forward to hearing from you.

I have rung twice on two different occasions about certain issues and was promised calls back and have received neither.

I've purely rated calumet as poor due to lack of information regarding when item is shipped and expected day of delivery, due to expensive nature of items requiring a signature it is important to know when they will arrive,"order completed" just doesn't cut it,

Overall, very poor service. Wrote a complaint letter and didn't even get an answer. Calumet doesn't show any consideration for its costumers. Paul jablonski, the manager, is very comprehensive, kind and helpful.

Bought a DxO Editing Suite at the last open day in Manchester. It was supposed to be sent from the London Store as Manchester didn't have any in stock. It wasn't cheap but the demo on the day made it seem worth it. It didn't arrive. Contacted the Manchester store twice during the following weeks. Nothing happened although payment had been taken out of my account. I don't know when they would have contacted me as Manchester seemed to have forgotten about the purchase. Eventually , a fortnight after the open day I spoke to Leslie whom I presumed to be the manager and it was decided that the software would have to be ordered from the manufacturer. I don't know what would have happened if I had just continued waiting patiently. MORAL: if a problem arises deal with the manager not the underlings if you want a result.

I ordered a Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod but received the aluminium version . Delivery was as expected on the following day. On receipt I contacted customer services and was told the warehouse did not have the item I required in stock, so they would not be able to do a collect and dispatch using Fed-ex, as the replacement Item was to come from a Calumat store. I was advised that as soon as the tripod had been received back then a replacement would be sent out. The fed-ex courier arrived the next day to collect the aluminium tripod. I waited two days but still the carbon fibre tripod had not arrived. A follow up call to customer services revealed that the return service by Fed-ex was ordered using a 3 day service and I should wait a couple of days longer. This I did and had to call the customer service number yet again to confirm it had arrived. The representative took my number and said he would call back later once he had located the tripod. This he did at 3.30pm when he confirmed the replacement tripod was sent out from delivery the next day. Rather a long winded episode for what should have been a next day delivery. Overall this took a week to arrive and three calls to the customer service team. The simple mistake of sending the wrong item was exacerbated by the slow return method. the warehouse had checked out a carbon fibre tripod, so should have still had my tripod on the shelf albeit the computer record may not have stated this.

From my perspective I have been relatively happy until the autumn, although I did write an email some time ago after I recommended you to a company I work with and you forgot to include a memory card for an Atmos Ninja Blade. I also queried your price on the Ninja Blade as it is cheaper at many other outlets. I never heard back, very poor. There is more on a personal level, having been sent to your store in Wardour Street for what turned out to be the wrong item that I had been quoted for. That's another story. Ok, so whilst Sian from CPMS Ltd has been chasing you up, to my knowledge the memory card has not yet been received. Disappointing as we start shooting next week. There you go, I also buy from Wex amongst others and find their service better. Best Wishes Mick

Having ordered and payed for an item I received an email informing me it was out of stock. The Item in question was urgent so I sent an Email to complain.....I did not get a reply. The Item turned up a couple of weeks after I actually needed it. Very unhappy.

1. Product was delivered to my old address! Despite putting our "new" address in the billing and shipping address slots on the order, you seem to have picked up an address on your database which is more than 5 years out of date. This could have been disastrous except that the old address is not far away and the current occupant happens to know where we live now and kindly brought it round. That is definitely a basic mistake and I can't order anything else from you until I am assured that the problem is fixed. Which is a shame because I have always found you very good. 2. The product itself is fine, but I now find that there is no way of getting the RAW files onto my network. Lightroom won't do it and I have a CS3 version of photoshop which won't do it and Windows is hopeless. I thought there might be a plug in available but seems not. My previous Nikon Cameras came with Nikon's own software but not this one. I realise this is Nikon and not you, but what's a man to do? I have always used RAW files so I can manipulate them the better. MikeCross
