I'm still waiting for three products I ordered in separate orders a couple of weeks ago. I ordered several items some of which arrived but others didn't. I called Callumet about one of the items and was told it wasn't in stock but there was no reference to this on the order or product page otherwise I probably would have bought the items elsewhere. I'm still waiting for a book and two coloured backdrops which presumably are also out of stock?? I will probably wait another day or so before cancelling the order.

Ordered a Calumet shoot through umbrella after being advised by the Calumet pre-sales team that it would fit the centre mount on an Elinchrom studio flash head. Unfortunately it doesn't fit, so now I have to waste my time and money sending it back for a refund. The order was also delivered 150 miles away from the delivery address given on the order. Fortunately I was there to receive it, but if it had been two days later then I would missed it. Hugely disappointing.

I am giving a poor review as the initial customer service we got in the Drummond Street store was abysmal - the woman staff we felt with could not have been more unhelpful, un-charming and irritating to a point that we nearly walked out to go to another photography shop. She was a very poor customer facing member and has not done Calumet any service. Thankfully we approached another member of staff and got a good service from him. My experience of Calumet was also tainted the previous day to our store visit when I tried to buy equipment online - the payment gateway crashed, then when I called, the member of staff was not particularly enthusiastic or helpful and then the line was cut dead, hence why we had to drive up to the store the next day. In all, I would not refer Calumet to a friend or colleague - only a last ditch place to go to... if you really have to. Calumet's prices are not competitive and with poor customer service there is nothing to recommend the company.

The next day delivery guaranteed turned out to be 2 days late by which time it was too late for the event I needed the camera for. I called someone on the phone at Calumet to explain when I got a text message from DPD courier company letting me know - she promised she would send me an email confirming order cancellation which she didn't. I then called someone at Calumet to cancel the subsequent order I had made the next day (camera case, memory card) as I bought it all elsewhere... and he again said he would email confirmation of this which I did not receive. Then, on the Friday, a solitary memory card arrived in the post... I have no idea if I am being charged for this or if this is a token conciliatory offer.

I buy two batteries for £26 each on Friday then on Monday you send me an email saying I could have got them £18 cheaper. Then you send me another email asking how I feel about my purchase. It's not likely to be positive is it??

Got an automated email confirming payment taken but nothing after that so i rang the enquires number on Saturday to be told that "DPD dont deliver at the weekends so it will be sometime Monday", so I started to get ready to go out. 30 mins later as i was leaving the house, the dpd van turns up. 5 mins earlier and i would have missed him. That is not good customer service for an item over £1000. Amazon tell you when it will turn up and keep you informed on a £10 item. Why dont you keep your customers informed?

Received a marketing email about a special offer on a camera bag. Followed the link and checked stock: 3 remaining. Order a bag and then checked stock later: 2 remaining. Received email the next day to say that there'd been so much demand for the bag, they were unable to fulfil the orders. Seems as if the live stock reporting on the website needs an overhaul. I asked for a refund a week ago, which still hasn't arrived. Not very impressed.

Ordered Monday Am, got email confirming order, by Friday no sign so rang up, and was advised it was not despatched ! Manager of Manchester store got involved and it was then sent first class !

I ordered an archival box. It arrived quickly, but with tears and marks on the inside and outside of the box. Emailed Calumet to tell them about the disappointing quality of this item and haven't had a response.

The website was great, ordering and paying was very easy, but that's where the good service ended! I had to wait 10 weeks for my two Calumet brollies to arrive. Only one email explaining that there was a delay. I emailed and didn't receive a response. Brollies are great, but would really have expected some sort of apology! Very disappointed! :(

Not really informed of order waiting for items to arrive into country I guess!!. Not sure when to expect my order Would have liked to be kept up to date. Service so far poor.

After ordering an accessory and paying for next day delivery I had to wait 2 weeks for a product that i needed urgently. There was no indication when paying that the product was out of stock - yet next day delivery was still charged.

Having recently bought a Nikon body in-store at Drummond Street and been, as ever, very happy with the staff there, I now have the opposite experience with an online purchase, made last week (Profoto B2 kit plus boxes). Not only was the kit tagged as available but I was told it would be at Drummond Street within 3 days. Before going over to pick up the kit I called a few minutes ago and a helpful, pleasant guy on the phone explained it was not and inference being that just because the website guarantees availability, reality means something quite different. As a private customer I pay a premium to shop with Calumet (I also buy through a corporate account and have done for many years). Can say as a private customer, unimpressed with Calumet online. You asked for a review - this is it.

Had to chase my order for some film twice with Customer Service after waiting almost two weeks - despite having next day delivery. Price was good but was let down by the delivery service.

I ordered and paid for film in advance as I was paying with a voucher for several things and the film was not in stock. Initially the service was helpful however after going to pick up the film it was not there, and I was told that I would be called back. I had to call and was told that they didn't know where the film was and there must have been some mistake. So I was left with no film, no clue about what happened to it and a waste of time. Really bad service!

I purchased a lens on the interest free credit offer. I wanted to pick up the lens at the Euston store and said that when paying the deposit over the phone and when making the initial order. I arrived at the store and was kept waiting whilst staff tried to find out where my lens was. I was told that the lens had been shipped to me when I had specifically said I would come to the store and pick it up. I had to arrange for a neighbour to accept delivery and leave a note on my front door to tell the FEDeX people to deliver to the neighbour. This was a real inconvenience. Additionally your finance people were very slow in getting back to me to approve the finance. Not good overall.
